Your eyes have opened once again to the warm rays of light shining on your face. The exhaustion seemed to have faded away although you were still light headed from the loss of blood.

Velvet: Morning (Y/N)...

You looked to the source of the voice to find Velvet sitting against a wall with a few scratched on her. She also seemed to have been worn out from something.

(Y/N): What happened to you?

Velvet: I saved us both... There was a pack of grimm so I did my best to fight them off with your weapons.

You were shocked at the fact that she was able to hold off against a horde of grimm but you remembered her semblance. At least she doesn't have to share the same curse as you with her semblance.

(Y/N): I see.... If thats the case... Then we need to move.

You began to slowly rise, staggering to the sides as you've done so since you're light headed feeling began to worsen.

Velvet: You shouldn't be moving around!

(Y/N): Its either this or the both of us die here.... There's a good chance that more will be on their way.

You were on your feet but you legs were shaking from struggling to keep you standing. Velvet quickly rushed to your side and placed your arm around your shoulders.

Velvet: Let me help you walk.

You were grateful for the rabbit faunus's aid as she also retrieved the bag of supplies from the floor.

Velvet: Let's get moving.

You nodded as the two of you carefully climbed out of the crumbled building and began walking into a direction that looked clear from grimm. The ruined city seemed dangerous enough as it is ranging from old buildings and the high chance of running into grimm.

(Y/N): This place feels as though we're in Mountain Glenn all over again.

Velvet: Yeah... Its so gloomy.

The both of you continued moving along the ruined road to find another spot to hide from the grimm. As the two of you walked, you suddenly broke away from Velvet and fell to the ground on your knees feeling exhausted.

(Y/N): Dammit...

Velvet: Are you alright? We can rest nearby if you're tired.

(Y/N): I'm fine... Lets just keep movi-

You felt a sudden feeling of uneasiness  as you looked further down the road.

(Y/N): Hide!

You grabbed Velvet by the hand and immediately led her towards an abandoned building.

Velvet: *whisper* Grimm?

(Y/N): No.

The both of you took cover behind a desk and patiently waited for incoming danger. Velvet wasn't sure what to expect since you confirmed that it wasn't grimm until she heard the sounds of loud footsteps approaching.

You decided that it would have been your best bet to peek since you have no idea as to what is approaching. As you peeked around the corner of the desk, you found some form of white robot carrying a large machine gun. It was a rather odd sight but you quickly retreated as it began to scan the surrounding area. Since it was unable to locate anything within the area, the unknown enemy kept walking in its usual patrol route.

(Y/N): Looks like an older model used before the fall of Mountain Glenn... The hell is it doing here?

Velvet: What do you mean?

(Y/N): I heard they were decommissioned since they were extremely buggy and didn't bother to defend the citizens during the fall. Question is... Why is there one here and fully functional?

The both of you remained silent as the rain clouds began approaching.

Velvet: I don't know but I don't want to stick around to find out

(Y/N):Yeah.

With The Others

Ranger: Looks like they were here just  now.

The trained sniper scanned the surrounding area to find a small opening into a crumbled ruin. The smell of smoke still lingered about from before.

Snow: Yeah... Wait... I think that's a campsite in there!

The two of them moved inside the ruined building to find the makeshift fire pit as well as a pool of dried blood.

Ranger: The hell happened?!

He didn't receive an answer from his team since Snow was distracted by something else.

Snow: N-no... It can't be!

Ranger: What?

He looked into the direction that Snow was staring into to find something completely unexpected. In fact, it was one of the worst case scenarios for this rescue mission.

He reached for his scroll to contact the others.

Ranger: Joanna... Whatever you do... Don't come in here...

It was too late as the blonde female walked inside with her clothes soaking wet.

Joanna: Its raining out the-

She went completely wide eyed once seeing the discovery.

Coco: Hey! How long is this going to take!

Of course as Coco walked inside, she grew pale as well from the sight in front of her.

Ranger: ... Lets just find her...
