“Oh..okkk....” Troye said staring at my still angry face and began to search frantically.

“Is this what you're searching for?” Somebody tapped my shoulder as I turned around to face him.

“James?” I said thankful of the fact that I was left with a friend in the lonely and deserted hallway except for my brother who had come here on...wait he didnt tell me why he was here.

“Ash? Is this your phone...” As I looked down at his hand, I saw my phone, peach, shining and the one that had some jems embellished on the bottom.

“Thanks!!” I squeaked and without thinking, hugged him tight. I quickly pulled away realizing what I had done and looked at the floor before James realised that I was blushing. He looked stunned for a moment but quickly overcame it and I mumbled a quick “Thanks” again and shuffled over to my brother.

“Oh so you got it?” Troye asked gesturing to the phone in my hand.

“Yeah.” I said and suddenly I remembered what I was about to ask.

“Why are you here, Troye, when you ought to be at the university?”

“Umm...you said that you did not feel well from morning and asked me to pick you up.”

“Wait, what? I never said anything like that...” Then I realised why I was searching for my phone. I quickly went over to the call log to see Troye's name on top.

10:45 AM

It had said.

“Troye, Im so sorry but I never called you although my phone seems to be saying I did.”

“So?”

“So...umm...what?”

“So what should I do?”

“Ugh, how can I know?”

“You're the one who called me here.”

“No, I didnt.”

“Yes you did.”

“Look Troye, I guess someone took my phone and called you, cuz at 10:45, I was with Zoe and Summer.”

“I dont believe you. Why do you simply want me to get out of university and drag the car till here to waste my precious one hour?”

Wait did he say...one hour? Oh no...he didnt.

“Ok whatever. I have to go now!”

“Hey, so what about me?”

“Just do whatever you want ok?” I replied not turning to look back at his face. Today is the worst day ever. Morning, I got sent out of class and now 2 whole periods!? If I miss this one too, then detention would be sure. I had never received a detention in my whole life. Not now. Just not now. I was about to push open the handle to my class...when the bell to my next class rang.

“Aah...nooooooooo” I groaned.

“Hey, Ash wassup? Where were you for the last two periods? I got scared.” Summer said with deep concern in her voice.

“Detention” I mumbled slowly under my breath.

“Its ok Ash. Detention wont do you any bad. Just an hour after school. Me and Zoe will pick you up after detention.” She said. Summer understood me so well and I looked at her with gratefulness in my eyes.

“Thanks a loooooot, Summer and Zoe. You guys are the best.”

“But hey, where did you go for the past 1 hour?”

“Loooong story.”

“Wanna go to the canteen and grab some hot chocolate?” Hot chocolate was my weakness and my besties knew that. Leave it up to them to spoil me.

“Sureeeee!!!!!” I exclaimed jumping up and down. Zoe and Summer giggled.

“Okay gals...so let's get goin'.”
