Friday///

As the days got closer to Danny and Jessica getting married, it began to feel more real by the minute. It was as if they were becoming closer and ever. Their families all came together to celebrate and were all understanding with the fact that they weren't having a big wedding. They made it special in their own way.

Dorthy and Zoe were both planning something for Saturday but refused to tell Jessica and Danny.

Before the big day Jessica spent the day with her sisters and mother and Danny stayed with his family for the day.

Jessica had an idea of what dress she wanted to wear but Dorthy and her sisters still wanted to take her out to see if there was anything else she might like.

"Guys, I think I may actually really like this dress!" Jessica says from the dressing room.

"Get your ass out here so I can see it!" Jane yells

"Shhh, Jane!" Dorthy says

"Sorry.." she chuckles

Jessica slowly comes out of the room and her sisters look at her in ahhh. Her dress was very simple and white. He went a little bellow the knees.

Dorthy immediately started to cry when she saw how beautiful Jessica looked in the dress.

"It may need to be tailored a bit, if you don't mind Mom." 

"My baby! Look at you!" Dorthy says standing up

"Aww, Mom don't cry!" Jessica giggles giving her a hug.

"You're so beautiful, Jessica." She says in a shaky tone.

"Jess you look stunning." Jane says

"You'll be the best lookin gal there!" Ann adds

"Thank you... thank you all for being so supportive. This all came out of no where."

"I think this is all just a big ball of romance and I love it." Jane giggles

"I saw this coming. I mean you and Danny are just such love birds." Ann says

Jessica blushes

"Well let's take this gorgeous dress home and we can make sure it fits just right!"

"Okay, Mom." She smiles

Danny's POV-

Danny had just gotten back to his moms after enjoying the day with his siblings. When he got home Zoe was waiting for him in the living room.

"Hey Mom." Danny says

"Oh hi sweetie." Zoe sits up from the couch and wipes her tears.

"Are you okay?" He says walking over to her.

"I was looking through some of your fathers old things, and well... I found his favorite watch." Zoe holds a gold Rolex in her hands and chuckles.

"Before he died he wanted this damn thing so bad and we could never find it. He wanted to give it to you..."

Danny smiles and sits next to his mother. "He wore this on your wedding day, right?" Danny asks

"Yep... He sure did. It was a gift from me when he graduated."

"You did good Mom."

"I want you to have it for tomorrow." She takes Danny's hand and pulls up his sleeve. Zoe buckled the watch onto his hand then kisses it.

"I want you to know that your dad would be over the moon excited about you marrying her. He loved her and he loved you."

"I know, ma."

"And he'll be there tomorrow. I promise he will."

"I hope so."

"I love you, Danny."

"I love you too. Thank you."

Jessica's pov-

Jessica and her mom were standing in Dorthy's sewing room alone working on Jessica's dress so it fit her well. It was a bittersweet moment... Jessica and Dorthy did lots of talking before the wedding day.

Jessica and her mom were never as close and Jessica and her father, but within the last year their relationship became so strong. Jessica didn't know what she'd do without her mother. She was so happy to have her mother in her life.

"How does it feel?" Dorthy says taking out the last pin.

Jessica looks in the mirror and twirls around. "It feels great." She smiles

Dorthy tears up then hugs Jessica again. "Your Dad would just keep saying how beautiful his little Jessie is."

Jessica giggles "You're going to make me cry."

"I just need to say how proud he would be. I bet he's cheering you on up there."

Jessica starts to cry immediately. She looks down at a picture of al on Dorthy's desk and smiles.

"I wish he could be there."

"Oh but honey, he'll be there." She says putting her hand on Jessica's heart.

Jessica bites her lip.

"You know, I have something for you." Dorthy goes into her closet and pulls out a box.

"What is it?"

"Your father wrote letters for you, Jane, and George for when you get married."

Dorthy finds the one for Jessica and hands it to her.

Jessica holds it in her hand and stares at it.

Jessica opens it up quickly and a golden necklace falls out. Jessica picks it up and holds it in her hand.

My sweet Jessica is getting married... god how I wish I was there to walk you down the aisle. I know you'll be one of the most beautiful brides out there. I wanted to start off by saying that I hope you are as happy as ever with this man. You deserve the world and more Jessica because you and your siblings are my world. I hope this man is the one for you and treats you well. Make sure he knows that if I were still here I'd hunt him down to make sure he knows to treat you right. Don't cry for me when I'm not there.... smile because I'm there in your heart. I'll be there to hold your hand and give your heart away. I'll be right by your side. Your special day should be happy, because it's the day you say I do. Those two words change your life in a way that is undesirably amazing. When I said I do it was the best thing I ever did. I want you to be happy forever.

Jessica held the letter to her chest and began to sob. "I miss him so much." She cries

Dorthy cries along with her hand holds her.

"He misses you too, baby."

"He was my best friend. I just wish he could see me get married to Danny."

"I know, baby... I'm sorry."
