Saturday-

Jessica and Danny were in their hotel room early in the morning. They cuddled up next to each other and bed and just laid in silence.

"Danny, we are going to be husband and wife today." Jessica whispers

"Huh, we are, aren't we?" He chuckles kissing Jessica's forehead

Jessica smiles up at him then rests her head on his chest. 

"It's only a matter of time until your heart is mine, Ms. Lange."

Jessica and Danny got themselves out of bed and began getting ready for the day. They both took their showers. Jessica did her hair and makeup while Danny got dressed. They were both in separate parts of the hotel at the time. Jessica was in the bathroom and Danny was in the bedroom. 

Jessica was curling her last strain of hair. Once she was finished she gazed into the mirror and looked at herself. A small smile appeared on her face. Her dress was hanging up behind her on the bathroom door. She turned to it and held the bottom of it in her hands. 

I'm doing the right thing marrying this man. He makes me so happy in a way that no other man does. I want to marry this man and I will marry this man, today.

Jessica began to reflect, reflect on one of the most memorable days of her life.

Junior Year-

Jessica's family was having a big dinner. Dorthy had made dinner for everyone. Jane was home from college and Ann and Jimmy were over with their two little ones, Quinn and Paige.

Jessica had just gotten home in time for dinner after spending a romantic day with Danny. They were at the lake all day dancing to music and swimming. It was the perfect day. 

When Danny dropped Jessica off she was so out of it. She had so much on her mind. At dinner, she was there, but her mind wasn't.  Her sister Ann had noticed something was up so after dinner Ann took Jessica up to her room.

"Jessie, what's wrong?" Ann says taking Jessica's hand.

"What? Nothing." Jessica smiles 

"Ever since Danny dropped you off you've been acting all weird."

Jessica sighs 

"Ann, when you were dating Jimmy, did you ever get thoughts about getting married or being with him for the rest of your life?" Jessica says nervously

"Of course I did..." She says softly 

"There is something about Danny, Ann. There really is. I get this feeling when I'm with him. And right now, I just picture us getting married one day. Something about today just made me so sure about everything."

"Slow down there, missy! You're only seventeen." Ann says

Jessica becomes embarrassed and her body gets warm. "Sorry"

"I'm kidding! It's totally normal to get those thoughts and feelings. It's good that you feel that way towards Danny. I was the same exact way with Jimmy. Now, look at us. We have a little boy and a little baby girl. We're married and happy... and you can't forget, we're high school sweethearts. There is no doubt in my mind that you and Danny won't get married. When I come over here I always see how happy you are with him."

"You mean that?"

"Yes! Everyone says it. Jane, mom, dad, even grandma!" Ann chuckles

"Ann, I'm going to marry him one day."

"You don't have to tell me, I already know! Here, where can I find a pen and paper?" Ann says looking around Jessica's room.

Jessica nods and runs over to her desk.

"I want you to write how you feel towards Danny. It's like a letter to him."

"What?"

"Just do it... And once you're done, I'll give them to you on your wedding day and you can read this letter to him."

"Are you crazy? Is this like wedding vows?"

"If you are so sure about being with him this letter will be easy to write., these 'vows' will prove it. Write how you feel. Words from your heart are the most powerful ones."

"Oh my god!" Jessica says to herself.

Jessica runs out of the bathroom in her bra and underwear. She scurries around the room trying to find her phone.

"Oh! Well, don't you look stunning!" He says

Jessica smiles "I need to call Ann!" She says

"Is everything okay?"

"Yes, everything is fine." She smiles

"Okay, well we have to leave here within the next twenty minutes." He says coming up behind her and kissing her neck. He strokes his hands around her bare skin. Jessica lets out a deep breath and turns around. 

"Tonight." She says kissing his cheek and running back into the bathroom.

He smiles as she closes the door. Danny puts on his jacket then reaches for his dads watch and slides it on. 

"I'm marrying the girl of my dreams today, dad."

Jessica called Ann. Jessica wanted the letter that she had written for Danny, she needed it. She already had written vows for today but they couldn't compare to the letter she had written nine years ago.

Ann luckily still had it. After all these years she kept it safe for Jessica. Deep in her heart, she always knew that Jessica would be Danny's bride. She agreed to drive up to city hall to give them to Jessica.

Jessica was finally ready to go. She had her dress and heels on with her hair and makeup done. Danny was ready as well. When he saw Jessica walk out of the bathroom he began to cry immediately.

"Aww, sweetie don't cry." She whispers. She holds his cheeks in her hands and wipes his tears.

"I just can't believe my eyes. You are standing in front of me on our wedding day. You are so gorgeous Jessica Lange."

"You're going to make me cry!" Jessica says fanning her face with her hands.

Danny chuckles and kisses her cheek.

When they get to city hall all the way up in Duluth Dorthy, Zoe and Ann were all waiting for them. Once they got out of the car Dorthy and Zoe got very emotional.

"You both look so nice! I can't believe it!" Zoe cries

"Our precious babies are getting married!" Dorthy says to Zoe

"What are those?" Danny says looking at the flowers in their hands.

 "We made a nice little bouquet for Jessica and a little something for you!" Dorthy says

"They're beautiful, thank you both," Jessica says softly

Zoe clips a white rose onto Danny's suit and fixes his shirt. "You look just like your dad!" Zoe chuckles

Ann pulls Jessica aside and gives her a big hug. 

"My baby sister!" She giggles

Ann slips the piece of paper into Jessica's hand and tears up. 

"I can't believe you kept it, all these years."

"I can tell the future. I always knew Danny would be your future. Just like Jimmy was mine."

Jessica smiles "Thank you."

"Now, go get hitched." Ann giggles

"I will. I'll see you afterward?"

"You will." She says hugging her one last time.

Danny walks up to Jessica and takes her hand. "Are you ready?" He whispers

Jessica nods "Yes."

Ann says goodbye then the four of them walk up the many stairs to get to the inside of city hall. Jessica and Danny didn't let go of each other's hands.

When they got inside they went into the room as directed to get married. They sat in the waiting room until their names were called. There were a few more couples waiting as well. Many of the women were dressed in white as well. 

"Jessica Lange, Danny Huston?" A man says walking out of a room.

Jessica, Danny, and Dorthy quickly stand up. Danny lifts up his hand. "That's us!"

"Alright, come on in!"

The man that was going to marry them brought everyone into a small room. Glass windows went all around the room with a small view of Duluth. There was a podium and a few chairs in front of it. Dorthy and Zoe sat down then Jessica and Danny were directed to stand in front of the podium.

"Okie Dokie! So I have all of your paperwork right here including your marriage license. I'll go through a few things before I marry you. Then you'll sign the papers. Do you two have vows?" The man says

They both nod. 

"Okay, then before you sign you can present each other's vows."

"...Let's get started, shall we?"

Jessica and Danny turn to each other and smile as the man begins.

"We are gathered here today to witness the exchange of marriage between Jessica and Danny. If there is anyone here that believes Jessica and Danny shall not be married, please speak now... or forever hold your peace."

There was a moment of silence before Jessica and Danny giggled. 

The man nods "If you have vows you may exchange them." 

Danny looks at Jessica then smiles "I'll go first."

 Danny takes a deep breath then pulls out a piece of paper. 

"Jessica Lange, I know that there is no other place I want to be than right here, right now, committing to you and our life together until we cease to exist. I can think of nothing more special or precious in this world than the two of us standing up here, declaring to each other and to the world, that we will love, support and honor each other forever. Forever is a word that did not really understand until I met you ten years ago. Ever since I met you we have something that truly is forever. Saying that you are the most amazing woman in the world is an understatement. You are more than just an amazing woman to me. You're my best friend, my rock, my biggest support system, my teacher, my lover, and you Jessica Lange are the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I'm so happy to be here today to not only get married but celebrate our love. I promise to love you, protect you, respect you, be loyal to you, and carish every moment with you. I promise to give you the world and more because I, Danny Huston, well I love you. I'm in love with you. I'm in love with your smile, your laugh. I'm in love with the way you help people, the way you love people, and the way you work for what you want. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to be standing here with you. Thank you for choosing me. "

"I love you too," Jessica whispers in a shaky tone. 

Jessica began to tear up a bit and Danny wiped her tears. Jessica smiled then pulled out the nine-year-old piece of paper.

"I actually have a letter an vows. I know it's crazy, but nine years ago I wrote something for you. I wrote it the day I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Ann kept it for me all these years because these words that I'm about to say to you are the words of my seventeen-year-old self who was madly in love with you... and to this day I still am." Jessica giggles

"Wow" Danny chuckles 

"Today we spent the day at our favorite spot, the lake. We shared so many laughs, stories, and for some reason, it feels like we made the most of memories today. We jumped into the freezing cold water then swam for what seemed like hours. Afterwards you made a fire and we sat near it and tried to get warm again. You held me in your arms and told me how much you loved me as we ate brownies and drank iced tea. While I was in your arms it hit me... you're the one. When I'm in your arms I feel safe and loved. When you hold me close to you I just pray to god that you'll never let me go. I may be a teenage girl that's in love, but I'm in love with you. I'm head over heels for you, Danny. You never fail to make me smile or laugh. You always know how to make me feel better when I'm down. From the day I met you I always had this thought that maybe this guy is my prince charming. What if I marry him? But today made everything more clear. If I ever marry a man, it will be you. Because I'm so sure about you. I've never been more sure in my life. You make me so happy. I just want you. I'll always want just you. So one day I hope that we can get married and live like Cinderella and prince charming! When I close my eyes and picture my future I see you in it. That will never change. I love you, Daniel Huston. You're the man I want to be with forever." Jessica pauses for a moment and looks around the room to see everyone surrounding her in tears. She tucks away the one letter then look straight into Danny's eyes.

"Ann told me on that day I wrote that letter that words from the heart are the most powerful ones. Here we are, Danny. Nine years later... about to say our 'i dos'. You've made me the luckiest girl in the world. And from the many years that we've known each other, we've spent some of those years apart. Somehow we ended up together again. That's because God wanted us together. We were made for each other. You're my prince charming, you always have been and you always will be. I promise to always love you, be there for you through good and bad, and I promise to be the best wife possible. Thank you for being my prince charming and thank you for loving me." Jessica finishes her vows then Danny mouthed "I love you".

They both looked at the man and he smiled "Those were the most beautiful vows I've ever heard..." He says softly

They both smile at each other. 

"Danny Huston, do you take Jessica Lange to be your wife, forever and always, and love her through good and bad?"

"I do,jessica's" He says softly

"And Jessica, do you take Danny to be your husband, forever and always, and love him through the good and bad?"

"I do"

The man puts their papers in front of them and hands Danny the pen. DanJessica's hand and signs the paper. He smiles then hands the pen to Jessica. She leans over and signs her name.

"Do you two have rings?" the man asks

Jessica and Danny look down at their hands and they start to laugh. "We forgot to take them off to exchange them!" Danny chuckles

"Oh my gosh!" Jessica laughs 

"That's alright... I guess we can just move onto the best part. You are now Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Huston." He says

"Oh my god, you're my wife."

"You're my husband." Jessica smiles

Danny wraps his arms around Jessica and kisses her passionately

Danny breaks the kiss for a moment and looks into Jessica's eyes. "I love you to the moon and back, babydoll."
