While Danny was at work, Jessica decided to go help Sarah at her store. She needed help lifting boxes and putting them away. Jessica brought her camera to take pictures for Sarah's website.

"I'm here with your favorite snack!" Jessica says swinging open the door.

Sarah was resting on a lounge chair when Jessica walked in. She had been exhausted from all of the work she had been doing. Sarah was relieved to see Jessica.

"Thank goodness!" Sarah says trying to stand up.

"Maybe you should just sit down and rest. You're six months now, aren't you?" Jessica says helping her back in the chair.

Sarah nods then sighs in exhaustion. "I'm ready for the baby to be born. Work has been so stressful."

"That's why I'm here, to help! You just tell me what to do and I'll do it!"

Around four Jessica and Sarah were still doing things around the shop. Jessica finished putting away clothes and then moved onto taking pictures of the store and the models with the clothes on. While Jessica was packing up her camera gear she heard someone breathing heavily by the doorway. She turned her head and smiled when she saw Danny waiting for her.

"Oh! You're here! I didn't expect to see you." She runs up to Danny and gives him a long hug.

"I went back home then realized you were still here. I thought that maybe I could come pick you up so you don't have to ride home alone." Danny says happily

"Aww, how sweet! Well we are just finishing up." Jessica says looking to Sarah.

"You two go! I have some people coming in for a meeting at five." Sarah says trying to get them to leave.

"Are you sure? We don't want you going home alone." Danny says

"Nope, I'm just fine! Evan is coming after work so I'll be fine. But thank you both."

"Alright, call me if you need anything." Jessica insist.

Jessica sat in the back of the taxi with Danny. Her head rested on his shoulder while his hand rested on her lap. She was about to close her eyes when she noticed the taxi driver take the wrong turn. She jumped up from her seat to get his attention but Danny slowly pushed her back and put his finger over her lip.

"Shhhh." He whispers

"Danny, he took the wrong turn. Our building is back there!" She whispers

"Yeah, I know. Just rest for a bit." He says putting her head back on his shoulder.

Jessica raises her eyebrows and crosses her arms. "What's going on?" She giggles

"Can't I surprise you? Now shhh!!" He chuckles, kissing her forehead.

Momentarily Jessica and Danny arrived at a small corner sushi restaurant a few miles away from the city. Danny paid the taxi driver, got out of the car, and opened the door for Jessica helping her out.

"Aww, Danny. Is it date night?" Jessica says taking his hand.

"In a way... I was just craving sushi so much. I knew if I was, you totally were. Now here we are!"

"You know me better than I know myself!" They say walking in.

Durning dinner Danny's phone continued to ring. It was his mother, but he continuously sent it to voicemail.

"Danny, you should answer..." Jessica whispers

"No, it's nothing big." Danny shrugs his shoulders

"Are you sure? What does she need?"

"She stopped by my house and noticed that I was renting it out. I guess I never told her that I moved out here. She's left multiple voicemails and seems pretty angry."

"What? Danny!" Jessica exclaims. Everyone looks at her and she lowers her body in embarrassment.

"What?"

"You didn't tell your mom about us or anything?"

"Hey! You haven't either..."

Jessica and Danny had kept their relationship a secret from the first moment they made it official. Only Sarah and Ann knew. It wasn't that they were ashamed to be together, they had just been so happy and so into each other that they forgot about telling anyone.

"You're avoiding her now?"

"Yeah... I don't mean too. I didn't know if we were telling people yet or what."

"Should we?" Jessica whispers, with a grin on her face.

"Is it weird to say that it's been nice just having a 'secret love affair'?"

"Secret love affair? Oh god Daniel!" Jessica rolls her eyes back then leans back in her chair.

"What? I'm being serious."

"I guess I get what you're saying... but they are family, we have to tell them."

"Maybe we should call home?"

"Maybe..."

A few days later Jessica and Danny sat in their bedroom with their phones in their hands. Both of their moms numbers were punched in. For some reason Jessica and Danny were nervous to call their family.

"Who goes first?" Danny says softly

"Danny, why are we such pussys? This isn't a big deal!" Jessica presses the phone button and calls her mom.

"Hello?" Dorthy answers

"Mom, hi!"

"Jessie, hello! It's been forever since I've talked to you? When do you start your new job?"

"Very soon... how are you?"

"I'm doing okay. It's super cold here. How about you?"

"Great... I actually wanted to talk to you about something."

"Okay, what's going on sweetie?"

"A lot... you remember Danny Huston, right?"

"Yes!"

"Well he's living with me now."

Dorthy didn't say anything at first. "Oh.."

"Yeah..."

"... so you two are?"

"We are together."

There was a moment of silence then Dorthy gasps. "Oh Jessica! I'm so happy for you two!"

"Really?"

"Yes! Of course. You are both soulmates!"

The conversation ended a while after Jessica caught up with her mother. After the phone call was over Danny decided it was time to call his mom.

"Daniel!" Zoe immediately answers the phone and yells Danny's name. It took him back at first.

"Mom, hi...." he says happily

"Where the hell are you? You haven't called in months, I've been worried sick! I went to check on you and saw random strangers living in your house. Explain yourself!"

Danny stuttered at first, Jessica could hear everything and noticed that Danny became nervous.

"I'm living in New York, ma. I'm sorry for not-"

"New York? What the hell are you doing there? Not telling anyone? Don't you realize people are scared and worried about you?" She yells

"Ma, calm down. I'm fine, I'm actually amazing! I'm living with Jessica. I have a job out here. I'm working my way back up. I've been settling in and spending time with Jessica that I became distracted. I'm sorry for not calling." He says anxiously

Zoe breathes heavily... "Jessica?"

"Jessica Lange... we are together."

"You dropped everything here at home for her? A woman that left you? After everything she did and you are with her? You chose her over us?"

"Hey, that's not fair. We are happy... Jessica means a lot to me."

Zoe immediately hangs up the phone.

"Mom?.... mom?"

Once he realizes that she hung up Danny chucks his phone across the room and stands up.

"Danny, hey..." Jessica says trying to comfort him. He pushes her away and grabs his hair.

"I'm sorry you had to hear that." He growls

"No, it's okay... why don't we just sit and talk, love."

Danny and his mother always had a close relationship. Realizing that he didn't pay attention to his family and mothers feelings made him frustrated with himself. His mother was hurt and angry with him. She made it clear that she wasn't happy that he was with Jessica. He was torn on what to do.
