You find walkie talkies

Coach:

He told you to take them as they can be useful for when someone gets split up. He doesn't use them though as he worries when he uses it the other person might be near zombies and it gives their position away. But it's better to be safe than sorry so in the case the group does get split up then can all contact each other and regroup.

Rochelle:

She wanted you to leave them behind because she was paranoid the sounds will just alert zombies and have them come running. She also didn't see the point in it since you all always stay close to each other, in each other's sight, and if someone gets too far away she is quickly aside them and warning they are starting to stray away before guiding them back.

Ellis:

He urged you to take them with you, clearly wanting to use it for just fun so you took them. Both use them when there are no zombies around and are far away from each other. 9 times out of 10 he uses it to say some dumb thing or bad joke then giggle about it before shutting off the walkie talkie with an "over and out" in some dramatic tone as if he's in a serious character in an action movie.

Nick:

He just told you to toss it away because it's useless and makes too much noise so it will attract zombies. You said Ellis might enjoy it, but that made Nick tell you more sternly and certain to throw that away right now or will all be stuck listening to Ellis saying dumb shit every second. Before you could speak he warned he will break that thing if you give it Ellis so you dropped it and left it behind. As you both walked off he assured you there's no need for such a thing anyway since you are both always near each other and he's not planning to leave you any time soon.
