"Josh? Josh... Josh!!!" I groaned. He said he would come back for me. Did he not mean it? Or his he no ready? Maybe I should've stayed inside of DEMA. The Bishop did say I had nothing to fear there.
I walked in the ryrhym of the birds song. It was peaceful, the sun shining through the leaves of the tall trees. I sat down in the dirt. I closed my eyes and focused on the sounds around me. There were the birds chirping, squirrels hopping from branches to branch, a wood pecker obnoxiously pecking a tree. And was that an animal-
My eyes shot open at the sudden hand that clasped over my mouth. I remained still and looked up to see a blonde girl, a finger hovering over her lips. I nodded, making it clear that I would be silent. She removed her hand from my mouth and motioned me to follow her.
She moved gracefully quiet through the maze of trees. I wanted to ask her questions. I wanted to look for Josh.
Finally she stopped and looked at me. "Are you Josh's friend? Tyler?" She asked. I nodded "Where is he?" I asked. "He's back at camp with the others, he wanted me to tell you that the time hasn't come yet"
"What do you mean the time hasn't come yet?" I asked confused. "A couple more months Tyler, just a couple more months" she said. She started to walk away.
"Wait!" I yelled, she stopped and turned to look at me. "I never got your name" I said. She smiled and said "Jenna" I watched as she walked away, into the deep wonders of the forest.
