"You have been here for a couple months now Tyler" the Bishop looked at me with hunger written on his face. "Yes, I have been here for a while" I said, trying to avert my eyes away from the Bishop.

The Bishop cocked his head "What is wrong? You are acting quite anxious today" his wispy voice filled my ears. I adjusted my posture "I feel trapped here. I know you say that I can walk out of here whenever I want, but... but I feel like you're always doing something that is making me stay"

He ruffled the hair on my head "Tyler you are a very special kid..." he grabbed a cup from a cupboard next to him. "Tea?" I nodded. I watched as the liquid poured out of the delicate pot. He handed me the cup, the steam rising from it was quite mesmerizing. "...don't blame your lack of movement on me" he said.

I sipped the warm liquid, it's calm taste trickled down my throat. "So if I walked out of here right now, you wouldn't try to stop me?" I asked, I frowned when I saw his disappointed face.

"If it will make you happy, I will take you to the edge of DEMA myself. Would you like that?" He asked, the pain was clear in his voice. My heart hurt as I nodded, I didn't want to do this to him. This man and I have been close since the day I showed up at the walls.

"Come on Tyler, let's get going" the Bishop walked out of the room, leaving his tea untouched. I could hear the poor man start to get his horse ready for a ride. I got up grabbing my coat, walking outside.

The Bishop was already on his horse, his frail hand helping me up. I wrapped my arms around his waist, way too scared of falling. "There's nothing to be afraid of young one, you're always safe in DEMA" he said.

We rode to the edge of DEMA. We stopped until the edge of the forest was only footsteps away. "I guess this is goodbye friend" I said, sadly smiling at his sorrow filled face. "You have been great company Tyler, you will surely be missed"

I nodded and walked away. The Bishop never left, he just stood there still as a statue. I kept my pace into the woods, following a straight path. The sticks crunched under each step. I'm coming Josh.
