I gazed into the eyes that penetrated my soul, keeping me captive as they always did.

There was nothing more that I wanted than to look away, but I held eye contact with the person that I feared the most. He could never know this though. If he knew how I really felt about him, I'd never be able to leave this house filled with rotten memories.

Grabbing my hands with his bigger ones, Reed slowly lead me onto his lap. My legs spread as I straddled his waist. The proximity between us wasn't something I wanted, but it wasn't like I had much of a choice.

"I know you've figured this out by now, Toni," he said with a look that would have sent me running for the hills if I were anyone else. His calloused hand stroked my cheek. I used to feel sick from his touch, but now I felt nothing. "Nothing comes without a price."

Like usual, I had no other option than to give in. His grin made my skin crawl as I started undoing the button on his pants.
