Jimin continued to snap his fingers in Jungkook's face. "What's wrong with him?" He turned to the others who were surrounding the maknae, who had been standing in the corner staring blankly at nothing.

Yoongi stepped up and tried to get Jungkook's attention as well. He waved his hand in front of him. "Hello? Earth to Jungkookie?"

"Huh?" Jungkook finally snapped out of it. He looked at all of his members, who were staring at him with looks of great confusion.

"What were ya thinkin about?" Jimin asked. "You've been spacing out for like 15 minutes! We were getting worried!"

Jungkook's lips curled up as he slowly started smiling. "Oh, nothing." He stepped forward as he slowly made his way past his hyungs to head to his bedroom. His hyungs watched in silence as he departed. Once he was out of sight, Namjoon spoke up. "I love him, but the kids weird." This got a chuckle out of everyone.

"Yeah he's weird but he's been a lot weirder since he got home from his family vacation." Hobi recognized some odd behaviors from Jungkook since his return home yesterday. He had been gone for about a week to go on a family trip but didn't have much to say about it. Ever since getting back he'd been oddly quiet and reserved. He was also eating a lot more than usual, as if he came home starving. He was also spacing out more than what was normal for him.

"I'm sure he's just tired," Jin replied in defense of his maknae. He didn't like it when others picked on the youngest. Only he was allowed to do that. "It was probably a hectic vacation. Let the boy be for now."

Taehyung put his arms up in surrender. "Hey, Namjoonie is the one who said it."

Namjoon quickly changed the subject and the members dropped the conversation. They separated to do their own thing for a bit. Yoongi wanted to go check on Jungkook, he also wanted to ask about the vacation. He'd been excited for Jungkook to come home and tell them all about his trip but the youngest hadn't said a word about what they did or where they went.

The rapper stepped into Jungkook's room and saw him sitting on his bed, staring at a fly that was circling around his head.

"Want me to kill it for you?" Yoongi asked.

Jungkook shook his head no. He lifted his hand into the air and snatched the fly into his hand with one quick grab. His hyung looked at him stunned, not knowing how to react. Jungkook opened his hand and watched as the fly started walking along his fingers but didn't bother to fly away. Jungkook stared at it with curiosity and then spoke up. "Can I ask you something, hyung?"

Yoongi was still staring at him, a bit dumfounded. "Yeah, sure."

Without taking his eyes off the walking fly roaming around his fingers, Jungkook asked his hyung, "Do you ever think about death?"

Yoongi gulped. Jungkook is acting weird. "Sometimes, why?"

Jungkook waited for the fly to be in the palm of his hand, and then he squeezed his fingers together, slowly crushing and killing it. He shrugged at his hyung. "Just curious. It's amazing how quickly death can just...snatch you up, huh?" He stared at his tightened fist.

Yoongi's heart started to race. He was absolutely disgusted, and he thought now not only was Jungkook acting weird, but now he was acting plain creepy. He decided right now he didn't care all that much to ask about that vacation, he was getting a strange eerie sense from the youngest and he wanted to leave the room. He stepped back towards the door, ready to step out. "Yeah. It's weird." He stared at Jungkook's fist. "Don't forget to wash your hands."

Jungkook didn't even look at or acknowledge him after that. He was too busy opening his fist and staring at the guts of the fly he'd just killed. As if he were inspecting it.

Inspecting death.

Namjoon noticed the look of disgust on Yoongi's face as he walked out. "What's wrong?"

"You were right," Yoongi replied, "The kid's weird."

Namjoon couldn't help but laugh.

The day progressed slowly and everyone left the maknae alone. Yoongi mentioned what had happened earlier and Hobi shrugged it off. "Well, it's like him to be curious about things."

Jimin couldn't get past it. "With his bare hands? That's so gross." The others agreed with him.

Jungkook walked out and met up with everyone in the living room. Taehyung decided to tease him. "Have a good nap? You've been sleeping all day."

The youngest didn't answer him, he stood there silently swaying back and forth as he blankly stared at his hyungs.

"He's doing it again," complained Jimin. He walked up to snap his fingers in Jungkook's face, but Jungkook grabbed his wrist and started squeezing it.

"Ow," Jimin cried as he pulled himself free. He rubbed his wrist as it throbbed. "When the hell did you get so strong?"

Jin was feeling a bit annoyed. "Are you feeling okay, Koo? You've been acting strange since you got home yesterday and I'll be honest it's a bit freaky."

Jungkook's eyes darted to Jin and the look he gave his hyung made the older instantly tense up. Jungkook's eyes seemed hollow and lifeless. He looked like the living dead.

What the fuck?

Completely ignoring Jin's question, Jungkook simply smiled as he stared at the older. "It's time for dinner. Let's eat."

The members realized it was close to dinner time so they got started on cooking. Jungkook was cutting up vegetables when he took the knife and suddenly pressed the blade against Taehyung's side. Taehyung looked at him with fear as he slowly backed away. "Hey, be careful with that thing."

Jungkook took the knife and jabbed it towards Taehyung again. He quickly got out of the way and ran behind Yoongi. "I said be careful with that! What the hell are you doing?! Trying to stab me?!"

Yoongi stepped forward and yanked the knife out of Jungkook's hand. "What is wrong with you? You're going to hurt him by doing that. You know not to play with knives."

Everyone got angry at the maknae for what he just tried to do, and to make it worse, when he wouldn't apologize and called Taehyung a pathetic baby, Taehyung ran away crying with tears of frustration. Jungkook had pissed him off plenty of times since they'd met but it was never quite on purpose. This time it had been and Taehyung didn't understand why.

"Go apologize to Taehyung and then go to your room!" Jin yelled at Jungkook.

Jungkook crossed his arms. "No."

The members gasped. Jungkook had never in his life told Jin no when asked to do something.

"What..what do you mean no?! I-" Jin was left speechless. He had no clue what to say as anger boiled his blood.

"Are you sick or something?" Jimin asked Jungkook. "Seriously, what's going on with you?"

"I'll tell you what's going on with him!" Namjoon screamed, "He goes on vacation and comes back thinking he can get away with being nothing but a brat!"

Jungkook had his hand wrapped around Namjoon's throat in the blink of an eye and started choking him. His hyung was gasping for breath as tears flooded his eyes. He tried prying Jungkook's hand away but the youngest was exceptionally strong. The others were screaming at him to let go and were pulling him off. Taehyung ran back out when he heard the screaming and couldn't believe his eyes as he saw his members trying to pry Jungkook off of Namjoon. He joined in and they were finally able to get the rapper free. He fell into a coughing fit as Hobi pulled him into a hug and was patting his back. "Breathe, there you go," Hobi cooed to his leader.

Yoongi was done.

He grabbed Jungkook's wrist and dragged him to the door. "If you think we're going to let you hang around here and start hurting everyone then you can go on ahead and leave!" He opened the door and was ready to shove the maknae right outside of it, but he was caught by surprise when Jungkook burst into tears and grabbed his hyung into a tight hug.

"I'm sorry hyungie!" Jungkook cried. "I'm so sorry!" The youngest broke out into a full on sob as he then let go and ran to Namjoon, embracing him into a tight hug too. "I'm so sorry! It wasn't me! It's not me! I never meant to hurt my hyungs!"

The others were looking at him confused. Namjoon and Taehyung weren't exactly forgiving, but Jungkook's outburst of tears had them wondering what the hell was going on especially considering this really wasn't like Jungkook at all.

Jungkook was a complete sobbing mess as he begged not to be kicked out. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone! Something is wrong with me! Please don't make me leave, hyungs! I'm your maknae and I have nowhere to go!"

"You just fucking choked Namjoon, and tried to stab me earlier!" Taehyung screamed back at him. "Why the hell would we want you here?"

Jungkook dropped to his knees. His face and shirt were drenched in his tears. "I'm so sorry!" He cried over and over. "Please, hyungs, it wasn't me. I don't know what's going on! I need help! I never meant to hurt anyone!"

Taehyung rolled his eyes, but seeing Jungkook like this was making his heart ache for the youngest. He didn't know what in the world the maknae was talking about, but he could see the sorrow in his eyes.

Namjoon pulled Jungkook to his feet and pointed his finger in the youngest's face. "This is your last warning." The leader had wavered at Jungkook's cries of sorrow too. "One more strike, and you leave."

Jungkook promised to not bother anyone again, that'd he'd be a good maknae. Jin and Hobi told him to go to his room for now and finish his crying in there. Jungkook departed, and once he was past all of his hyungs and heading for his room, nobody noticed the sly smile that formed on his face.

Suckers.

Jungkook had to stay in his room until his hyungs called him back out for dinner. Thankfully the anger had subsided a bit so things were calmer now after the mishaps from earlier. Jungkook appeared to have stopped crying, so as they ate the hyungs asked him what he meant when he said something is wrong with him and he needed help.

"Huh?" Jungkook asked, shoveling food into his mouth. So much food that his cheeks were getting puffy as if he were a hamster getting ready for hibernation. Jimin grabbed Jungkook's fork and pulled it away. "Hey, slow down before you make yourself gag."

"Earlier, Kook. You said you didn't know what was going on and you needed help. What's wrong? Clearly you've been acting strange since you got home. What happened on vacation?" Jin asked.

"Nothing happened on vacation." Jungkook's voice was muffled from the food he had grabbed with his bare hand and shoved into his mouth.

Taehyung didn't believe him so he decided to call up Jungkook's family to ask what they did on vacation. According to his family, nothing special. They did some sight seeing and went to a few local museums that contained ancient artifacts.

"Ancient artifacts?" Taehyung asked Jungkook's mom over the phone.

"Yeah, the museum director spewed a bunch of bologna about them being anciently cursed and blah blah blah. Of course Jungkook ran around touching everything like he always does! That boy I swear-"

"Okay, thank you! Have a good night!" Taehyung hung up and everyone looked at Jungkook. He was no longer eating. He was sitting there, mouth agape with drool spilling out. His eyes were narrowed and staring off into oblivion. His body had turned deathly pale as if he were made of porcelain.

"Oh....oh no...Jungkookie....what artifacts did you touch at that museum?" Jin asked with concern in his voice. He fully believed in the supernatural, in spirits, demons, other realms, curses, all of it. They all believed in it. So hearing this news from Jungkook's mother, and seeing how terrible Jungkook had been acting, and now how terrible he physically looked, it made sense. Jungkook didn't answer Jin. He seemed to be completely oblivious to everything around him.

"Is he possessed?" Namjoon asked as he waved his hand in front of Jungkook's face. Jungkook broke out into a smile after Namjoon said it.

Possessed.

Jungkook slowly turned his head to Namjoon. "Ding. Ding. Ding. Joonie. About time you used that brain of yours."

Jin had been a believer for such a long time, he'd read and researched plenty of things about it in his life. He also knew how dangerous it was and how if Jungkook was acting this badly already, there wasn't much time left. He stared at his maknae to see the youngest had stolen his fork back from Jimin. He was holding it with the prongs straight up.

And he was glaring across the table straight at Hobi.

Jin looked back and forth between the two and could see the evil intent behind the youngest's eyes.

Without warning, Jungkook pounced across the table for Hobi, but Jin had shoved him out of the way just in time. The rapper sat back trying to catch his breath. He didn't understand why Jungkook was trying to hurt him. He started crying as he watched the other members grab Jungkook and shove him to the ground, pinning him.

"Tie him up!" Namjoon commanded. "Hobi, go into our camping stuff and find all the ropes you can!"

Hobi jumped to his feet and frantically ran, his heart set on doing whatever the members needed to do if it meant getting Jungkook back to normal.

"Get the hell off me!" Jungkook screamed.

"No, you've had your fun. We're going to get our damn little brother back if it's the last thing we do!" Taehyung yelled in Jungkook's face. He watched as the maknae curled his bottom lip into a pout and started crying.

"You're hurting me, hyungs. Hyungies please. You're really hurting me. I'm sorry, I don't know what happened. Please let me go. It hurts." Jungkook's voice was soft and apologetic.

Jimin didn't like the idea that he might actually be hurting his brother. "Kookie, we just-"

Yoongi cut Jimin off. "Don't listen to him, Jimin-ah. This isn't Jungkook! He's messing with us! I bet it was all an act earlier too!"

"No hyung! I'm serious! Get off me! Please!" Jungkook acted as though he was trying to weakly push all of his hyungs off him, but none of them let up. Hobi ran back with handfuls of different thick ropes the members had used for camping.

"We have to do this quickly!" Yoongi screamed. Hobi threw the ropes at them and let them take over. He didn't really want to get involved. This was freaking him the hell out and he didn't like the sight of Jungkook, being, or acting, hurt.

Namjoon and Jin pinned Jungkook to the floor while Taehyung, Jimin, and Yoongi started tying his wrists and ankles together.

Jungkook started screaming as if it was the last thing he'd ever do. Tears spilled from his eyes once again. "Hyungs stop! Please! It's me! It's Jungkookie! Your maknae, remember?! Hyungies stop it! You're hurting me!" He looked into his hyungs faces and his voice cracked. "Why are you all trying to hurt me? Aren't you supposed to protect me?"

Jimin stood up and backed off. "I can't do this anymore. We're hurting him..." His chest filled with guilt. Hearing Jungkook's voice cry out in pain was too much for him, possessed or not. He backed away and stood with Hobi. The two held each other's arms and cried together as they watched the others tie Jungkook up.

Jungkook fought hard against them while Jin got up. "I'll be right back! Don't let him get up!"

The oldest sprinted to his room and then ran back with an old tattered looking notebook. He started searching through the pages.

"What..what are you doing hyung?" Hobi asked.

"I know how to save him. It's written in this notebook!" Jin exclaimed.

"Well sometime today would be nice!" Namjoon and the others were struggling to hold Jungkook down, even though they had him all tied up. The youngest was trying to bite them, spewing profanities at all of his hyungs. Speaking in a language none of them had ever heard before.

"What the hell could possibly be written in there to help?!" Taehyung screamed as he used his entire body to keep Jungkook on the floor. He dodged all of the bites the youngest was trying to take out of him.

"In high school I went through a phase. A crazy obsession with the dead and demons. I wrote down almost every spell in the book. Every chant. Everything needed to expel demons."

Yoongi rolled his eyes. "You expect that to help!? Some bullshit you wrote in your high school notebook?!" He was clearly frustrated and becoming increasingly impatient.

"Do you have any other ideas, huh?! He needs help, and he needs it now! Unless you have another idea right now, then I suggest you let me handle this!"

Yoongi shut his mouth.

Jin found the page he was looking for and without hesitation started spewing out words and chants none of them had ever heard, but Jungkook was responding to it greatly. His vulgar words got even worse, his veins started popping from his neck, he released ear piercing shrieks that had the members covering their ears. The walls started to shake. Multiple lightbulbs around the house burst apart, shattered pieces flying.

"How long will this take?! He's getting stronger!" Namjoon screamed. The members holding the maknae down were struggling a lot more now. Hobi and Jimin were burying their faces into each others necks, absolutely scared to death. They were thankful for their members bravery because they were feeling not a single ounce of that right now. They were just praying for this to be over as soon as possible.

Jin kept going. More things started to shatter. More screaming. More profanity. Jungkook started threatening to kill everyone in extreme detail about what he was going to do to every single one of them when he was free.

Jin tried screaming the words louder to drown out the sound of Jungkook's screams, and it was like a battle over who could outdo each other.

Jungkook broke free from the ropes and Taehyung, Namjoon, and Yoongi were shoved off of him, their bodies sliding across the kitchen floor.

"Hyung hurry!" Hobi screamed when he looked to see what had taken place.

Jin was almost done.

A few more words. Just a few more words.

Jungkook ran and grabbed a knife and was headed straight for Jin. Jin backed away.

"I'm going to kill you," Jungkook hissed at his hyung.

"No!" Taehyung screamed as he scrambled to his feet. He ran up behind Jungkook and grabbed the maknae's wrist to buy Jin some time. Jungkook pulled away without an ounce of struggle. He was so, so strong now. He raised the knife in the air and brought it down on Jin.

Jin spewed out the last words of his chant. He threw the notebook down and covered his eyes, waiting to feel the stabbing pain of the knife land somewhere on him.

The sharp edge of the blade never came.

Instead he heard the knife drop to the floor. He looked up to see Jungkook standing there, looking around at everyone while everyone looked at him in silence waiting to see what he would do next.

He dropped onto his knees, buried his face into his hands, and absolutely wailed.

"What have I done?! What have I done?! I'm so sorry hyungs!" Jungkook screamed into his hands. His face was beat red as he sucked in oxygen, trying to stop himself from drowning in the waterfalls that were pouring from his eyes.

The members weren't sure how to react because they'd heard this same sob story multiple times today. However, there was a difference now. The members couldn't tell what, but this sounded more like Jungkook than before. He sounded more genuine. More sorry and heartbroken. Scared.

"Kookie?" Hobi stepped forward towards the maknae.

"Don't come near me! I'm so sorry hyungs!" Jungkook cried. "I don't want to hurt anyone! I never meant to-I never meant to-" The youngest couldn't get his words out as he started choking over his own mucous. Everyone knelt down beside him. Yoongi hesitated, but wrapped his arms around Jungkook and pulled him into a close hug. The maknae buried his face into his hyungs chest and wrapped his arms tightly around him. Yoongi could tell that Jungkook was desperate for comfort.

"Hey, it's okay, shh," Yoongi cooed as he ran his hand through Jungkook's sweat soaked hair.

The rapper turned to everyone. "It worked. It's him. It's Kookie."

Hobi put his hand on Jungkook's back and started rubbing it. "Is it really you, bunny?"

Jungkook didn't lift his face, but nodded into Yoongi's chest.

Jimin turned to Jin. "How the hell did you do that?"

"I told you I went through a phase! It was all written in my notebook! I don't know why I kept it, honestly, but thankfully I did! You're welcome!" Jin took great pride in what he'd just done. Especially in the fact that he managed to do that without peeing his pants from fear. He didn't know if what he was doing would actually have worked or not, but he was willing to try with blind faith.

"Oh, Koo," Taehyung whispered. He leaned in and kissed Jungkook's cheek. "What the hell were you thinking touching stuff at that museum? We called your family and your mom told us what you did."

"I..I..I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself. I just needed to touch things. I couldn't control it. I didn't know it'd do things to me."

Jungkook remembered everything he'd done in the past day. His soul was a passenger in the backseat of his own body as whatever possessed him had taken control.

"I never meant to hurt any of you or say any of those things. I tried to fight against it but I couldn't." He buried his face back into Yoongi and cried more as guilt consumed him.

"It wasn't you doing those things," Hobi reassured. "It was someone else. We didn't know that at first, but now that we do, please don't beat yourself up over it."

"I do deserve to beat myself up over it. I hurt my own hyungs," Jungkook pouted. His body could barely handle all the remorse he felt.

Namjoon took Jungkook's face in his hands and squished his red flushed cheeks. "I'll admit I was ready to punch you in the face earlier, but please know that all is forgiven. You didn't mean to do any of those things. Like Hobi hyung said, that wasn't you. If anything, I feel guilty for not noticing things sooner."

"That's not your fault either hyungie," Jungkook replied. "You couldn't have known."

Jungkook looked to Jin, and then freed himself from Yoongi to throw himself into his Jin hyungs arms. "Thank you, hyung." The waterworks picked up all over again. "Thank you for saving me."

Jin held Jungkook against him, embracing himself in the warmth that had come back to the youngest. "Of course, Jungkook-ah. Hyungs would always do anything to save you."

Jimin sighed. "I'm exhausted."

Everyone looked at Jimin in silence, and then broke out into a collective giggle. They were all exhausted.

Jin stood up and dragged Jungkook to his feet with him. "I think it's safe to finally call it a night."

"Oh, it's been a night alright," Hobi replied.

The members couldn't help but gravitate towards Jungkook again. Their hearts spilling with love and gratefulness that he was okay, despite everything. They formed a group hug with the youngest squeezed in the middle. They seemed to squeeze even more tears right out of him.

"Is there anything I can do to show you I'm sorry?" Jungkook asked.

"Well," Yoongi looked around. "You could start by sweeping up all these damn lightbulbs you broke!"

The members couldn't help but laugh. Jungkook had made quite the mess.

"But, it's late, and you've been through a lot," Yoongi rubbed Jungkook's back as he instantly had a change of heart. "So don't worry about it. We'll take care of it."

Jungkook couldn't believe he had hyungs who were that loving and forgiving, and his heart swelled at the gesture. He couldn't have asked for better hyungs in the entire world. He could see that they weren't holding this against him and it was making the guilt wash away.

"Thanks a lot hyungs," Jungkook replied.

Taehyung and Jimin mentioned to Jungkook that they wanted to go to bed. They snatched him up from their hyungs and left to go get ready to snuggle in bed together and finally move on and forget about this super dreadful day. After the three maknae's disappeared, the hyungs got started on cleaning the place up a bit.

Namjoon turned to Yoongi. "And to think, you were going to make him leave!" Namjoon laughed.

"Hey, so were you!" Yoongi fought back.

Namjoon put his hand to his chest and gasped. "Excuse me, I was bluffing!"

"So was I!" Yoongi replied. "He would've gotten two steps out that door before I snatched him back inside!"

Jin and Hobi laughed at their slight bickering. Soon all four of them were laughing. They could also hear laughter coming from the maknae's room.

Hobi turned to Jin. "I guess we lucked out. You having an obsession with the paranormal back in high school ended up saving our maknae's life. It was meant to be."

"I don't mean to boast, but..I am quite the hero, aren't I? Bow down!" Jin teased. Namjoon picked up a pillow off the couch and threw it at Jin as they erupted into laughter once more.

"But really though," Jin started, "I couldn't have done it without all of you either. Everyone helped save him."

The hyungs got back to cleaning as all of their hearts swelled with happiness and gratitude that things actually turned out well.

It'd been a long ass day and night, but the nightmare was finally over. Jungkook was free, and so were the rest of them.

[The End]
