Apologies
This chapter may not be that great...I'm really stressing about school starting guys. This may or may not be the last chapter I write in a while because I'll have to focus more in school. I'm going into Gr. 11 😞.
Hate school more than you could ever know.
I hope something happens and my school gets destroyed completely so I don't have to go anymore. Like a fire or a random explosion.
I know I'd have to get sent to a new school if it got destroyed but maybe the new school would have better people and teachers than my current one.
I can't just leave because in grade 8 I had my heart set on this one cuz of the programs. But it sucks ass. I hate the immature people. The teachers that make me present even tho it's clear I have social anxiety. The way the back hallway smells like weed. All the goddamn pad in the hallways. The way the academic and university level teachers are all hella strict and tell stories about how hard school is and make me fear school and university. And I don't like that as soon as i actually make a new friend we get separated the very next semester. It's like fate wants me to be alone forever but ripping away ppl who waltz into my life. And I hate being around all those noisy smelly ppl. And how god damn salty and bitchy everyone acts. And how crazy my teachers appear to be. And how no matter how hard I try I will always fail at English class. I mean, if I'm gonna be a loser at least make me a smart loser, but instead I'm an average intelligence loser. My grades range from 90-70 usually, but that ain't good enough in advanced classes. It's like I get the stress from school and on top of that the stress from academic courses. I get no breaks. I guess I can't complain cuz the little friends I have have it way worse than me :( I'm in no position to complain. I wish my school would burn the f down. But I would never do that cuz it's illegal. But I wouldn't mind if someone else did it. I'd look up to the fella who did.
Ok, I'm probably a bit insane, I probably shouldn't wish for something to burn down, probably. Doesn't mean that I still don't want it to.
Oh, and thank you to AuthorTheAuthor , IceCreamKat43, and CrisstalFenix for the ideas, I liked them all so I meshed them all together in this chapter :) and of course personalized some things.
And thanks for what you said in that long ass comment IceCreamKat 👍👌
(3rd person p.o.v)
Rin and Amaimon decided to set off early that morning and go and search for the being that had opened the portals. It had been Amaimon's idea to go back to where the portal dropped them off in the woods and try to pick up scent. Demon's and other supernatural beings had a powerful scent, and each scent was very distinct, but only certain other demons or monsters could pick up that scent.
Usually their scent got left behind on anything they touched, but it would slowly fade after a period of time. What made behemoth so good at tracking people down is that his species of demon had a strong sense of smell, and it helped that he was unlike any other usual hobgoblin.
The rode on the back of Behemoth to the middle of the woods, it was quite difficult to find the exact spot because they had discovered that the portal had closed itself.
That told them that when they found all the portals on the edge of the Shadow Forest that they were recently opened. Meaning that the one that had opened them created them shortly before the two demon kings found them. They couldn't have gotten to far if they had just been there recently.
After a while of searching they had found the place the portal dropped them off because it was the most familiar.
They hopped off of Behemoth and looked around for anything they may have left behind. Any tracks, objects that were dropped, damaged caused from the being there. Anything that could have a scent left behind on it.
"Did you find anything?" Rin asked after half an hour of them looking around.
"No, did you find anything?"
"No. What they didn't leave behind anything with a strong enough scent? And I'm not seeing any different tracks, the only ones I'm seeing is our own and behemoths."
"They have to had left behind a scent if they were here." Amaimon said with a puzzled look. "A couple days isn't enough for a scent to completely disappear. And if they left behind no scent at all them they don't physically exist."
"I guess you're right." He continued to look around for any other clues. "Why do you think they opened up so many portals? Do you think they where looking for something?"
"Or running from something."
"But what threat would they be running from?" Rin asked. There was a long silence. Just them behemoth growled. They quickly ran towards him. "What is it? Is he picking up a new scent?"
"Yeah. C'mon, let's go." Amaimon hopped onto Behemoth and Rin up afterwards. With that they left to track down the scent.
*~*~*
That morning the cram school students gathered together at the fountain once again. They had been excused from classes so they had plenty of free time. This free time was supposed to be spent searching for the high class demon that escaped to their dimension, but it wasn't spent usefully. They hadn't seen Yukio after he stormed out of class yesterday. They agreed that Okumura sensei was being immature about the situation and it would take a lot of convincing to get him to swallow his pride and apologize to his brother. They didn't understand what made Yukio hate Rin so much, his own twin. They were so shocked and confused after Izumo and Shura revealed how badly Yukio used to treat Rin. What made him hate Rin so much that he'd point a gun at him?
They'd have to get down to the root cause. Everyone was gathered at the large decorated fountain. They were all going to search for the room Rin was staying in and apologize. If they knew anything about Rin it was that he was Lazy with a capital L. He was always falling asleep in class and he complained about having to do too much work. It was around 10 in the morning and they figured he'd just be waking up now and probably still in the dorm he was staying at. Everyone was there, Ryuji, Izumo, Shima, Miwa, Shiemi, Shura and even Takara.
The only one who wasn't there was Yukio, and they were prepared to drag him from his dorm and force him to apologize if he didn't show. They waited for him to show up but he never did, after waiting nearly 20 minutes they decided that they'd have to head over to his new dorm and force him to come with them against his will, but it was for his own good. He had to sort out whatever issues he had with Rin. To let go of whatever caused his hatred to grow to the point he nearly killed Rin.
*~*~*~*
After about an hour Behemoth had come to a sudden stop. He stood in front of this old worn out small shack in the middle of the woods. It was practically falling apart, covered in moss and green vines that spouted flowers.
"I am guessing this is where the scent trail stops." Rin hopped off Behemoth and walked towards the old shack. Amaimon quickly hopped off as well and followed close behind. Rin carefully opened the front door, it was barely hanging onto its rusted hinges.
"Ugh, this place is filthy." He cringed. There was cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and I between objects. Everything was covered in a layer of dust. There were scattered books, even more books on small shelves, jars with experiments in them. A magnifying glass resting on a desk with old scattered papers. Feather pens in jars, it was like a tiny lab, it even had old science lab equipment. "Someone obviously must've lived out here for research." They continued to look around. There were little preserved creatures hanging from the ceiling and walls. He looked closer at one of the creatures, he soon noticed they weren't normal creatures. One of the critters were preserved fae, it was clipped onto board behind a frame by its colourful little wings. They weren't just doing normal research...
"Rin, come look over here." He walked over Amaimon. "What is it- oh my.." They looked down, there before them was the skeleton on a person. Its head rest on their desk as they sat in their chair. Its dead hand was clutching onto a pen.
"What's this?" Rin questioned, he gently lifted the skeletons head and pulled out a sheet of paper that they were lying down on. "A half finished note. It appears that they must've died before they could finish writing it."
"What does it say? It looks like it's written in another language." Rin had studied multiple languages during his 200 years in Gahenna.
"It's in an ancient tongue, when they wrote this they must've not wanted just anyone to read it. Is says,
To,
whomever reads this note first,
and can decipher the message.
I have made a grave mistake.
I have dabbled in things that should've been left untouched. But my desire for knowledge got the best of me. I knew of realms that existed outside of our own. Creatures that existed aside from those we are used to seeing. Powerful being with capabilities we could not imagine. I had come across a peculiar being when I was younger, it appeared to be a winged mammal, like a fox, but smaller. It could do things I have never seen. So I decided to look closer, dig a little deeper. My fellow researchers called me mad and took me for a joke. So I decided to search for proof, to prove myself. During my research I have befriended the super natural creatures. These creatures are being hunted by a group of exorcists that call themselves Knights of the True Cross, they are being lead by a wicked man and three others who call themselves the Grigori. I have made my new mission not to study and research them, but to help them, and hide them from the Exorcists.
During my mission to save my magical friends, I have discovered something horrible. An evil darkness that lurches within our realm called Assiah. Dark being who preform dark magic. All my research, knowledge of the way the realms work. Study of different dimensions and different spells. There are other brings who'd kill for this knowledge. Which is why I must hide my findings quick. My research his contained within a thick book. I have hidden it well within my studies. Please, make sure you keep my findings safe, if it were to fall into the hands of evil, Lord knows what chaos would fall upon all realms.
Please take my books and hide them where they will never be found, I am gravely ill and I don't know how much longer I will
And that's where the note ends."
"So we need to find this book because it has some kind of important information that evil people can use to do wicked things?"
"Well that's what the note says. Do you think that this special book has something to do with the portals opening? They were looking for a book?"
"But the question is what were they planning on doing with it?"
"I'm not sure but let's not wait to find out, we need to find it before they do, they said it was hidden somewhere in here, didn't they?" Just then they noticed what a wreck the p,ace was, things were flipped over and tossed onto the ground, many books were scattered across the floor. They started searching the place for the book. About an hour was spent stripping the place for a particular book.
"We've been searching for so long, have you found anything?" Amaimon asked.
"Not yet." He walked around. "We've searched every inch of this house and still we've found nothing." He continued with his pacing up and down. "Wait a minute, did you hear that?" He asked.
"Hear what?"
"That." He stepped down a little harder on the floor.
"Yeah, it's an old place."
"No, the floor, it sounds almost...hollow." With that he quickly got to his knees and teared off the floor boards.
"What do you think you're doing. Is being back on Assiah making you lose it or something, because I think it's making me lose it too."
"No," He said with a strained voice. He continued to rip apart the floor. He then pulled an item out of the floor. "Look."
"It's the book." Amaimon said with raised eyebrows. "They hid it under the floor?"
"Yeah, so no one wood find it." He flipped through the pages, it was filled with drawings, little notes, and pages of different kinds of findings. "This isn't good."
"What isn't good, what's it say."
"It's not what it says, it's what it doesn't say." He showed Amaimon the book. "Look, a bunch of the pages got ripped out."
"You don't think they already got to the book do you?" The two shared almost a worried look.
*~*~*
The exorcists in training made their way to Yukio's dorm, he hadn't shown up so they had to resort to dragging his ass there. Yukio had moved from the old boys dorm to one of the newer ones a couple months after Rin had left and Ukobach stopped cooperating. He had a new room mate who was a new boy at school. When he requested a dorm change they quickly threw him in with the new student who didn't have a roommate yet.
They had finally gotten to his new dorm, Bon knocked on the hard wood door three times. Moments later there was a shuffling sound and the door swung open.
"Hellooo.....?" He became very confused when a bunch of people he didn't know showed up at his door. He had brown hair that had a clean cut and swept over to one side. They hadn't seen him around much though he was in one of Bon's classes, they never talked though. "Hello Natsuko, is Yukio here."
"Umm..yeah he's here I'll go get him for you." The boy seemed kind of soft spoken. He walked back inside the house.
"Umm, Yukio." He said shyly. Yukio tilted his head in his direction to show he acknowledged him, his nose was buried in a text book. "Some people are at the door and want to talk to you."
"Who are those people exactly?"
"Uhh, I don't know who they are but they want to see you." Yukio thought fir a bit, he soon got and idea of who some people were and why they were there.
"Tell them to go away" he said with malice and squinted eyebrows.
"But-"
"Did I stutter? Tell them I said to leave."
"Oh o-ok." He nodded quickly. He quickly headed back towards the door. "He said that he wants you to go away-" Bon quickly pried opened the door and shoved Natsuko out of the way causing him to yelp.
"Listen, Yukio." He said full of rage, you could tell he was completely done because he almost never called Yukio, his sensei, by the first name. "Rin is your brother and you treated him like crap! Now you have to stop being a bastard and apologize! All of us decided to buck up and tell the guy we're sorry, why can't you!?"
Yukio closed the book, he wore an agitated expression. "Look, I already told you. I will do no such thing. I'm not apologizing for something I didn't do.-"
"Oh please! We've all had enough of your nonsense! Why can't you just say you're sorry."
"Because he's too full of himself to admit he did something wrong." Izumo said with crossed arms.
"Can ya stop being a chicken butt for five minutes and just tell your brother you're sorry." Shura said. "For a teacher you're acting very immature, you're like a obnoxious little kid who refused to admit to bad behaviour."
Yukio faced away from them, he was practically steaming. "What's the matter with you guys. Can't you just leave me be? I have more important things to worry about than this nonsense, like my upcoming midterm exams, and our mission if you forgot."
"Oh shut up four eyes! You're always makin' excuses, work this and school that, family is more important than anything and you threw your only family away like trash. What you did is inexcusable and the least you can do is try to apologize and explain yourself. Literally everyone else is acting more mature than you right now." Yukio remained silent refusing to listen to anybody else. "Ya know what, I'm sorry it had to come to this, grab him boys." She said. Yukio's eyes widened as Shima and Bon grabbed him on either side and physically dragged him off the bed.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing!? Unhand me this instant!"
"No, you won't cooperate so we're gonna have to do things the hard way, you're gonna go talk to your brother whether you like it or not!" They pulled him out of the dorm while he struggled to get out of their grasp. As they dragged him down the hall Shura turned back to Natsuko.
"Sorry you got stuck with a pompous asshole for a roommate!" She yelled as they all left.
"......I'm sorry too." He said closing the door.
~*~*~
They all walked through the old boy's dorm, Bon and Shima still had a firm grasp on him, with Shima holding on tight to his left arm and Bon on the other. He had stopped struggling long ago but that didn't stop him from complaining. He down right refused to apologize to Rin.
They didn't have a clue which room Rin was in exactly, they asked Mephisto but he told them that he instructed for Rin and Amaimon to choose any room in the dorm house.
They checked every room, but it was empty, the dorm had a lot of rooms so they had been searching for a long time. They didn't want to split up because they wouldn't know where the others were if one of them found him, and they wanted to apologize together. They even checked Rin and Yukio's old dorm room they shared together, but it was as empty as when Yukio moved out.
After almost an hour of checking each room only one room was left that they haven't checked.
"Well, this is the only one left that we haven't checked." Shiemi said. Bon went and knocked on the door, when there was no answer he tried knocking once again. Still no body answered.
He sighed and tried opening the door, "it's locked." He said with raised eyebrows. All the others that were empty had been left open since no one was living in them.
"That means it must be the one he's staying right?" Shiemi asked.
"Must be." Bon answered. "But I don't think he's in there, that or he's ignoring us."
"Wouldn't blame him." Said Izumo crossing her arms looking away.
"OKUMURA! YOU IN THERE?" He yelled cupping his hands around his mouth. "IF YOU ARE THEN OPEN UP! WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU!"
"Well, he's not here." Yukio said still being held put. "We should just get going then." Shura shot him a look and elbowed him.
"Thenwe'll come back when he is." Bon said, eyebrows furrowed angrily.
"What are you all doing standing around our room?!" They all turned around to see the demon king of earth and an pissed off looking Rin holding bags of groceries, waiting for an explanation.
*~*~*~*~*
After calling it a day and leaving the shack in the woods, with the book and other findings in hand, Rin decided that they should buy some food for the dorm. They still had to eat, they bought some food to cook, things for breakfast, some snacks, and lots of candy. They used the currency from Gahenna, much like in the ice cream shop the cashier had been too terrified to deny the purchase and accepted the golden coloured tokens he put down.
Once they had gotten back to the room they were shocked to see it being surrounded by a bunch of people.
OKUMURA! YOU IN THERE?" A human with skunk hair yelled at his door like a madman. "IF YOU ARE THEN OPEN UP! WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU!"
"Well, he's not here. We should just get going then." Another boy said, his back was faced to him so he didn't know who he was but his annoying voice sounded familiar. He was be held onto tightly by a pink haired boy and the angry man with skunk hair.
"Then we'll come back when he is." Skunk man said. They reminded Rin of bickering goblins.
Rin had finally had enough of this. "What are you all doing standing around our room." They all quickly turned to face him with shocked expressions.
"Rin!" The blonde one said with an irritating high pitched voice.
"What are you doing standing around our room." He said with less patience.
"We were looking for you." As much as Rin hated humans he decided that this wasn't something he should blow a gasket over, he was better than them. Gahenna knows what a human would've done if they saw a group of demons standing at their door.
"Why?" He said trying to keep his cool, though he was failing miserably. His jaw was clenched and his fists were tightly balled.
"We wanted to apologize." Bon stepped into the conversation.
"For what exactly?" They all seemed confused for a moment when he asked, confused that he didn't remember what they had done. But then they remember were that Rin had no memory of who they all were.
"You really don't remember us do you?" Shiemi asked softly looking down playing with her fingers.
"No, why would I?" He was really loosing his temper with them. Bon let out a sigh, it was really difficult apologizing to someone who didn't remember what you did wrong. Most wouldn't bother apologizing for doing something to someone if that someone didn't even remember what you had done to them. But they had to get this off their conscience, they had to reconcile with their ex-friend, this was as much for them as it was for Rin. Rin was so incredibly lost, random people showing up at his room saying they wanted to apologize for something, but he didn't even know who these strangers were.
"Can you at least try to remember us?" Shura asked.
Rin thought hard about it. "Oh yeah! That's right!" Their eyes widened with hope. "You're the same rude people who attacked and yelled at me the other day! What was that all about?!"
"No! I, I mean yes, we are those same people and we're sorry about that. We were just trying to talk to you, we didn't mean for it to go sideways like that."
Rin was now even more confused, why would they want to talk to him. He looked at Amaimon for input, he noticed how uncomfortable he looked. He instantly became concerned. Was he feeling as awkward as Rin was right now?
"Amai?" he asked.
"Rin, can I talk to you alone inside for a moment." He asked. "Alone." He said looking at everyone else who was staring at them.
"It's alright. We'll just wait out here, no rush." Bon said. They all stepped aside from the door and let them inside. Amaimon quickly lead Rin inside the room and closed the door.
"What is it Amai? What did you want to talk about? Is it about what just happened". he said tilting his head towards the door.
"Rin, don't you remember them?" He asked.
"Yes, they're the same people from yesterday-"
"No!" He snapped, which caught Rin off guard. He wasn't used to seeing the usually emotionless demon get so angry. "Think harder Rin! Don't you remember them?! They're the same humans who bullied and betrayed you over 200 years ago! They treated you horribly! They degraded you and mistreated you! They made you feel like a worthless monster, remember?! They're the reason you even came to Gahenna in the first place! Yukio! Those other exorcist brats! That stupid excuse for a teacher that couldn't even teach you how to light a simple candle properly! Don't you remember all those times you used to cry about how all of your friends hated you, and our brothers and I used to have to comfort you to get you to calm down! How come you don't remember and I do? It wasn't even me that they bullied! You don't remember how those exorcists wanted to execute you because they were afraid of you? Afraid of what you can do!? Think harder! Try harder to remember it all! Strain if you have to!"
Rin was completely taken back after all that he said. He did exactly that, he strained to remember a life before Gahenna. He remembered only bits and pieces of his childhood, the parts he never stopped thinking about. He managed to forget a lot of the memories he deemed unwanted or unnecessary such as his school days. Suddenly, all of those unwanted and long forgotten memories flooded back into his thoughts like a tsunami.
He stumbled backwards and grabbed his head. "How, how have I forgotten. I didn't, I don't want to remember." Amaimon walked towards Rin and grabbed his shoulder trying to console him. He looked away from Amaimon with looks of discouragement and hurt. He didn't want those memories. Why did Amaimon have to remind him? He was perfectly content not knowing. Why did they have to show up now? This was a horrible time. He had years to forget and move on, he was here on a mission. He pulled away from Amaimon's grasp and went to opened the door.
"Leave." His voice powerful and stern, his eyes were ice cold.
"But-" they started.
"Leave! Go away! I don't want to see you!" He waited for them to leave his sight, he didn't want them around him, or even in the same building.
"But we came here to talk to you!" Bon said.
"Didn't you hear what I said? I don't want to see you! Get out of my presence now!"
"We know you're upset but he wanted to apologize! That's what we've been trying to do-" Rin slammed the door shut, but just before it could fully close and arm wedged itself between the door and its frame. Rin knew that it must've really hurt, and it did, but he didn't care. He was frustrated when they refused to listen to what he said and go. "Nnhg" he grunted, prying the door back open. "Just. Let us. Talk to you damn it." He we pushed his way into the room much to Rin's displeasure.
"Get out of our room-"
"Would you just listen to what he have to say for a minute?!" The other entered the room after Bon, Yukio was dragged in by Shima and Shura. "We know that you hate our guts, and you probably should. And we know that what we did was unforgivable and very wrong, and we're sorry. We were all jerks jerks to you, some more than others." He said looking directly at Yukio. Yukio scowled and looked away.
Rin kept his same angry expression. Amaimon standing next to Rin with just as much, maybe he even more hatred in his eyes.
"R-Rin, I'm really really sorry that was such a horrible friend! You were my very first friend. You stood up for me and protected me a lot of the times. But I was horrible to you." She sniffled. "I ignored you and avoided you when you needed me the very most. I was too afraid to talk to you because I didn't know how to approach you, I didn't know what to say to make things better. But I realize now that I only cared about my own problems when you had problems of your own to deal with. And that is inexcusable." She was full on crying now. "I hope that you can forgive me and be my friend again!"
Even after she poured her heart out to him, he still kept the same stone hard expression, not once did he show signs of any emotion but anger and disgust. They knew now that it would be more difficult than they thought to get him to forgive them.
"Look, Rin, we're all truly sorry for what we did to you, we let out fear and anger for Satan blind us. But you two are not the same, and we shouldn't have blamed you for what he did to us. The blue night wasn't you fault, we shouldn't have bullied you because of it. But we hope that we can all put the past behind us and-"
"The blue night wasn't Satan's fault either." He seethed.
"W-what?"
"I said, the blue night was not Satan's fault either, it was yours!"
"How could you even say that Rin!" Yukio snapped, it was the first he spoke the whole time he was here. "Satan brutally murdered thousands of innocent people and you have the audacity to say it wasn't his fault?! They really did brain wash you!"
"Yukio," Bon warned. "We're here to apologize to Rin, not start more fights.
"And I told you that you guys could do what ever you wanted but I will not apologize to that demon." He spat.
Rin instantly became furious and so did Amaimon. "Leave now! If you don't you'll regret it!" Rin made a fist, flames started to flicker around his fingers.
"Yukio! Enough! What's wrong with you! We brought you to get over yourself and make amends but you're still going on about this nonsense." Shura scolded. "What's the matter with you? Why can't you just be a normal person for once and just say you're sorry to you're brother?"
"He's not my brother any more."
"Finally, words come out of your mouth that I can agree with." Rin spat back. "You've bothered me enough why can't you guys just leave us be. I have more important things to worry about now, I can't waste my time with this."
"Fine by me." Yukio fumed tugging his arm out of Shima's grasp which had loosened and headed towards the door, but Shura blocked him from leaving.
"Can you guys all just shut up!" Izumo yelled. "You guys are making nothing better!" She pushed past them and walked towards Rin. "I'm sorry about these idiots." Rin looked at her, his anger subsided but he still had a look of impatience and discomfort and she knew that he wanted her to get out of his face. "Look Rin, I'm sorry." She wasn't normally one to apologize but she knew that she too had to get over herself and say she was sorry too. Something had to be said and obviously it was only her who was going to say it. "Even though I didn't do anything, but I probably should have I guess. And I'm sorry that they have been a bunch of ignorant asses but that's because they're stupid and don't have much knowledge of anything they're not used to." They looked at her offended but didn't interrupt her. "They still think all demons are bad and they're probably going to continue to be ignorant and keep thinking that. Because people are idiots and we'll just have to deal I guess. Look, you didn't deserve the treatment that you got, and I'm not even asking you to forgive us because we definitely don't deserve it. We'll even leave you alone just now. But what I am asking is that we, I dunno, put our differences aside and stop going at each other's throats and just act cool with each other. You don't need to deal with this bullshit and neither do we. So what do you say, truce?"
Amaimon shook his head no at Rin, no matter what they were still the same humans who hurt his baby brother and we was never going to forgive them.
Rin stared at her, he was still rather annoyed but he looked at her thoughtfully. The others looked at him and waited for a response. "I don't remember a lot from before I moved to Gahenna, but I do remember that when everyone ditched me and started treating me like garbage, you were the only one who treated me the exact same. Which you were never really friendly to me at all in the first place, but at least you still acted the same, if not a little nicer even. So I've decided that I hate you the least." He looked at all of them. "And you are right about me not needing to deal with all of your bullshit, so I'll call a truce if it means that all of this stops. But this doesn't mean that I like any of you. You are all still horrible and irritating."
Amaimon looked at Rin shocked that he called a truce with the exorcists even after all that they'd done.
They looked offended but they were happy about the truce. "You're not wrong about the horrible and irritating bit." Izumo agreed.
"Even this human hates humans as much as I do, I like that you are the only one aware of your species stupidity, that makes you in a way smarter than everyone else."
Izumo felt kind of flattered at the complement, she already knew she was more intelligent than everyone else but it was nice to have someone else point it out.
"Well, we'll all be leaving now. And thanks for the complement, even though you basically called the entire human race idiotic."
"Wait, we can't leave yet." Bon said.
"Why not." Izumo glared.
"We still haven't gotten sensei to apologize."
"I wouldn't hold your breath." Rin crossed his arms and shifted his weight to his left foot. "He's always been too full of himself to admit to his mistakes. I don't expect an apology out of him and neither should you."
"He still has to." Shura said shoving Yukio in the side.
"He won't apologize. I'm done with him anyways, I've always put up with him and made excuses for him but not anymore."
"I was the one that was forced to put up with you." Yukio muttered under his breath.
"Alright, let's leave! I already did a whole speech about not putting up with bullshit and that's exactly what all of this is. Let's go, let's leave him alone we bothered him enough. You guys have bothered me enough! I have exams to worry about and other stuff to do but instead I'm wasting my time with all of your nonsense. We made a truce and now we get out of each others hair." Izumo started to push people out if the dorm.
She just wanted to leave and she could tell that the two demon kings wanted them to leave too. This was supposed to be a quick and clean apology, not the cause of another fight because one, someone decided to be an ass and not apologize and instead be difficult. And two, they either worded the apology wrong or didn't even fully comprehend what they were apologizing for. Like Bon was apologizing to Rin yet he still brought up the blue night. Though he thought he was doing a good thing and telling Rin he didn't blame him for Satan's actions and his they're not the same. He forgets Rin in a demon king now and had lived with Satan for centuries, he probably doesn't want to hear about how Satan is a bad guy. The whole point is that they were supposed to realize that not all demons are bad but they still didn't understand. They thought it was all about calling Rin names, but that was only half of what they did wrong. They treated him badly because they thought all demons were bad and him being Satan's spawn would make him worse of all. They apologized for how they treated him, but they still implied that they thought demons were still evil.
She managed to get everyone out of the room which caused Rin and Amaimon some relief.
Once they were out of the room their eyes instantly darted towards Yukio. They glared daggers at him. "What the hell was that all about?!" She barked. They made their was slowly out of the old boys dorm.
"I said I'm not apologizing-"
"No, what the hell was ALL of that about? All of this?! Why do you hate your brother so much."
"He's a demon."
"That's not new news! That's old news! You always knew Rin was a demon, since you were little kids even if Rin wasn't aware. You never acted so hateful towards Rin before, what suddenly changed? What happened that made you hate him so much?! And don't give me any shit about 'its because he's a demon'. You used to look up to him, when I just met you and you were in training to become an exorcists you told me its because you wanted to help your dad protect Rin. What changed?!" Every one was silent, they looked at Yukio waiting for an answer. They were all curious as to why he despised Rin so much. "Well?!"
Yukio was silent, he made no eye contact. "You always knew he was a demon, didn't you?!"
"I did know. I always knew about demons and that Rin was one of them. But he never knew, he was always so ignorant to the world around him. He lived a normal child hood while I never could because I was always haunted by demons. They were all wicked. Dad was always fighting off demons, he always said it was important that none of them got to Rin because they wanted to take him away from us. I asked my dad why I had to see such scary and horrifying things and that I was scared, and he told me that I didn't have to be. And that I could join him, and protect Rin. Rin got to run around and play games like a normal child while all I did was train, train so that he could be safe and have a normal childhood. Father always did all that he could to protect Rin and give him his undivided attention. He had everything I didn't, an actual childhood, fathers attention, courage, strength. Demonic strength because he would be reckless and beat up people twice his size. I always hated him, he had everything and was still blissfully unaware of everything around him."
"Do you hate him because you're jealous of him?"
"No! Even though that demon was given everything by father, he still murdered him!"
"He murdered your dad!?"
"Yes. He's responsible for his death. He's the reason that even though he trained for years to have an iron will, he still managed to get possessed because of Rin. He died trying to save Rin's sorry self from getting taken by Satan, if you ask me he should've just let him take him! Then at least he'd still be here I we wouldn't be stuck here with Rin still ignorant send irritating as ever!"
"So what I got from that story is that reason you hate Rin so much dates back to your rough child hood. And you also seem to blame Rin for your father's death."
"That's because it is his fault that he's dead! And even though he died because if him he still let him die in vain by joining Satan! It's like he does not care at all about all father's done for him!"
"Mmhmm, so this has almost nothing to do with Rin being a demon. Interesting." Yukio was practically steaming. "I knew father fujimoto well back when he was alive me he thought me everything that I know. I though I didn't understand why at the time, I knew that he loved the two of yas to death. If he did die protecting Rin from Satan it's because he cared about him and not because it's his fault. You need to cut all of this out! It's frustrating the hell out of all of us and it isn't healthy to keep all that hatred inside. You need to find some way to deal with your issues so you can apologize to Rin because you put him through hell. You're upset with him for stupid petty reasons and even then you can't threaten someone's life even if you're upset! That's called being a criminal when he give people death threats! You obviously got some deep psychological issues, so you need to sort this out, and get help, maybe get a therapist or something because you have problems."
Everyone was completely silent after that, they continued to head out of the building and then back to their dorms.
*~*~*~*
I was too tired to edit this, sorry.
I know it's weird to ask, but it's out of total curiosity I swear.
I know that just as much guys use wattpad as girls, duh, but on almost every fic I've read the majority of the time I only ever ran into fangirls 🤔. (Probably because of the type of fics I read) Very few times have I come across fanboys in my fics.
Like I just read a comments section all about girls and their reds. (Probability didn't have to say that, buts reds are a human thing, get over it)
So I'm just curious, how many fanboys are reading this book?
I know something like that doesn't matter, but I get curious about weird things so I want to know.
