Applejack's POV :

Sitting down I let out a breath.

"Hey what's wrong??".

I look over at mah friend, Twilight. She was looking at with a worried look on her face. I sigh and tell her everything that had went down earlier this week. I hadn't told her yet.

"Did she have rainbow colored hair and light blue skin with a backpack on??", she asked.

I nod. How did she know that??.

"Why??", I ask.

"Because I saw a girl with rainbow colored hair in front of the office with a the school's secretary a day ago. She was having a mental breakdown in the middle of the hallway. It was bad".

Ah wonder what was wrong??. Maybe it was because of that idiot Dumbbell and his friends. He hurt her and that's what probably set her off in to break down. Ah wonder how she's doing. Ah hope she's alright.

"The poor girl was crying about how she wanted to go home. They left a few minutes after".

"That's the new girl", I say running my hair through my hair.

"I think she has post tramatic stress", Twilight said. "If someone has been through something like war or something then in the future they have bream downs or freak out at the smallest things that trigger it".

Yeah. Twilight was a smarty pants. She knew alot about behavior and stuff. She was one of the smartest girls in school. Also.one of the most popular. Me and mah friends are the most popular girls in CHS. We know everyone and everyone knows us. We'd do get goods grades and stay on the good side of people.

In return everyone likes us and doesn't give us any trouble. It comes in handy.

"She wasn't here yesterday", Twilight said. "But I saw her walk in earlier with a man. Probably her dad".

I look over at the door. My eyes widened.

"And she's here".

Twilight turned around to look. I saw the girl from before standing at the door with Principal Celestia. Why would she need the principal to be with her??. Principal Celestia walked over to our teacher. The two walked out of the room with the girl. I look across the room at Fluttershy and my other friends Rarity and Pinkie. They gave me a look. I guess that Fluttershy told them what happened a few days ago.

I mouth to her I think she's in our class. Fluttershy and Pinkie shrugged.

A few minutes later our teacher walked back in with the girl beside her. The girl looked around nervously. I wonder of she's always like that. Nervous. She looked back at the floor then at the teacher. The teacher said something to her and she nodded. The teacher placed a hand on her shoulder but the girl flinched. I read the word sorry for on the teacher's mouth.

The girl said something to her. She walked to the seat behind me. I look at Twilight. I wasn't sure if I should say something or look at her. After what happened this week I wasn't sure if she wanted to talk to anyone. Finally I decided to say hi. Nothing much.

Turning around I looked at her. She had her eyes looking around before landing on me. I think she froze cause she didn't move for a minute, her eyes wide. I gave her a smile.

"Hi", I say quietly.

I didn't want to scare her by talking too loud. She unfroze and bit her lip.

"Uh hi".

I look at Twilight then back at the girl. She looked scared and unsure what to do. So I decided to say something.

"Listen".

She looked at me.

"I'm sorry how Dumbbell treated you this week. You didn't deserve that. He's a jerk".

I noticed her hands fiddling. She was probably really nervous.

"Are you new here??", I asked.

Her eyes widened. She looked terrified of me.

"Are you okay??", I ask. "Ah won't hurt cha. I'm not anything like Dumbbell. Ah won't touch ya if you dont want me to".

I put my hands in the air and then behind my back to let her see.

"See. My hands are hands are gone. I won't hurt cha", I tell her.

She seemed to calm down a bit.

"O-Okay", she said. "Sorry. It's just that um that's what he said when we first talked to me".

"You don't have ta be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong", I say.

She look at her hands and bit her lip.

"Ah'm Applejack and this is mah friend Twilight Sparkle".

Twilight looked at the girl. She smiled.

"Hi. It's nice to meet you", she said. "And I promise you we will never touch you if you dont want us to".

I look back at the girl. She still looked scared. Even when we just said we won't hurt her she's still afraid of us. I guess we'll just have to have her get to know us since she'll be our friend. Yup. I decided right then and there that she was going to be our new friend.

"Can you tell us your name??", I asked.

She looked at me.

"Rainbow Dash", she said quietly.

I smile. Rainbow Dash. I like that name. It was a pretty name. And I have to admit, she's cute. Yeah I'm a lesbian. Deal with it. I couldn't explain it. There was something about her that just screamed protect me and be my friend. It's stupid but that's how I feel. She just looked like she needed a few friends.

"What do you have after this class??", I ask.

We were in biology but we don't do anything but do worksheets, book work, and watch videos. I liked that. This class is easy yet hard cause the work is complicated but easy if you know what to do.

Rainbow handed me her schedule. It said she had lunch next. Great, she me and the girls have lunch too. She could sit with us.

"You have lunch with us. You could sit with me and mah friends. Ah'll keep all the bullies away from ya", I say.

She nodded.

Suddenly the bell rung. Rainbow jumped and looked like might have a heart attack.

"It's okay", I say. "That was the bell".

Rainbow nodded. "I know. I just can't handle loud noises that just come out of nowhere", she said.

We stand up. I look at Twilight. We walk over to the others. Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rarity was packing up.
"Hey Applejack", Pinkie smiled.

The girls looked at us.

"Guys. This is Rainbow. She's new here".

Rainbow seemed to hide behind me. She shrunk away in fear. I guess she doesn't do well with meeting people.

"It's very nice to meet you", Rarity said smiling.

Pinkie waved.

"Hi!!".

I look at Rainbow who jumped and backed away. I look at Pinkie.

"Not so loud", I whisper.

Looking at Rainbow I say, "Sorry about that. She's loud. But she won't be loud when talking to you".

She looked around at us. She had a look of uncertainty on her face.

"Well. Let's get to lunch", Twilight said. "Spike is waiting for us there".

I looked at Rainbow.

"Spike is her little brother".

Rainbow looked at me panicked.

"A boy??".

I turn to her. "It's alright. I'll talk to him and tell him not to touch you okay??".

Rainbow nodded. We head out of the room. We walked down the hall to the lunch room. It was pretty noisy. It always was at lunch time. We went to our table. I stayed near Rainbow. She looked on edge and looked like the noise bothered her. We sat down. Sitting down next to Rainbow I look around.

"There he is", I said.

I saw Spike coming towards us. He sat down between Twilight and Rarity. Spike was Twilight's little brother. He was a grade below us so he was a freshman. We were sophomores.

"Spike", Twilight said. "This is Rainbow Dash. She's new here. Please don't ask questions, just listen", she said. "Rainbow doesn't like to be touched. And don't make any sudden movements around her or make loud noises".

Spike nodded. He looked at Rainbow Dash and smiled.

"Hey".

I look at Rainbow. She waved back. We went to get our lunch. Rarity and Pinkie showed her what to do. I told the lunch lady, Ms.Smith, that she was new. Ms.Smith smiled and nodded. She took one look at Rainbow and frowned.

"You poor child", she said. She also had a southern accent like me. Then again. She was related to me. Yeah, I had a relative in my school. But she's cool. Even likes her and she's really smart and funny.

Me and the girls look at her. She looked like she felt sorry for Rainbow Dash. Why??.

"Ah understand what you went through", she said. "It wasn't your fault".

Rainbow nodded. "Thank you".

We went back to the table. It was silent for a moment. Rainbow put her head down for a while, not touching her food. The rest of us talked quietly.
I look over at Rainbow. She was finally eating her pizza. I smile. It was kinda cute the way she way she ate her pizza in little bites. I look over at the girls. Pinkie was giggling.

"What??", I ask.

"Oh nothing", she lied. I can tell when someone lies to me. I'll just ask her later. We finish our lunch and throw our trash away. I threw Rainbow's tray away for her. Sitting down I look at her. She was writing in a notebook.
Suddenly the bell rung. And again Rainbow about had a heart attack.

"You okay??", I ask.

She nodded and got up.

"What's your next class??", I asked.

She took out her schedule. I looked at it. It said gym.

"You have gym with me and Pinkie", I said.

We said bye to the others and went down to the locker room.

"We go straight down here in this period", I explained. "We bring our own gym clothes and change here".

Rainbow looked around. The other girls were changing. She looked at the floor. I put my books in my gym locker and change. I put mah hat in the locker as well. I look at Rainbow to see her looking at me. She looked away. I decided not to call her out on it.

Soon we went upstairs to a room. It had a mat floor and punching bags.
Me and Rainbow go to the gym teacher. It was Mr.Soarin. Rainbow froze when she saw him. I could see her start to panic. I look at her.

"Hey hey hey", I say getting her attention. She looked at me, tears rising in her eyes.

"That's a guy", she said.

I nod. "Rainbow. You don't have to be afraid of him. I'll let him know not to touch ya and to let him know not to do anything to scare you, okay??".

She nodded. She held onto my arm as we walk over to him. I felt her grip tighten a little.

"Mr.Soarin", I say.

He looked at us. "Yes??".

"This is Rainbow Dash. She's new here. Ah need to talk to you".

I look at Rainbow. She nodded. Me and him walk a distance away. I made sure Pinkie was with her. Looking at Mr.Soarin I say, "Okay. Rainbow has been through something in the past. I don't know what it was but ah know it was bad. She is terrified of guys an can't handle when people touch her or make any movement towards her. So please don't touch her or speak loudly when near her. She's very sensitive to shoutin'. Okay??".

He nodded. "I understand completely", he said.

"I'll make sure I don't".

I sigh. "And please. If she has a breakdown can ah take her into the hallway to calm her down??".

"Sure sure. I understand completely. I know what's that like so of course", he said nodding.

I let out a breath. I thank him and walk back to Rainbow Dash.

"It let him know and he understands", I say.

She nods. We started class. Today we had a free day to do whatever. I liked those days. Me, Rainbow and Pinkie sit against the wall. Rainbow had her eyes on the boys at the punching.

Wait. I see Dumbbell with his friends over there. I saw him looking over at us. He punched the bag a few times, looking at Rainbow. I look at Rainbow. She had her shoulders tense. She suddenly gasped and his her face in her hands, turning her head away. I look up to see Dumbbell smirking. I heard Mr.Soarin call him over. I guess he what Dumbbell did. I turn to Rainbow, getting on my knees in front of her.

"It's alright Rainbow", I say. "He's not gunna hurt you. He won't as long as Ah'm here".

Rainbow looked up at me. "Yes he will", she said he voice cracking.

I gently touch her shoulders. She didn't flinch at me. I guess cause she saw my hands first.

"C'mon", I say. We stand up. Me and Pinkie led her to the corner of the room. I look at Rainbow.

"Is it okay if ah hug you??".

Rainbow nodded slowly. I gently bring her in for a hug. She hid her face in my shirt. I rubbed her back gently. I looked over at Mr.Soarin. He looked at me.

He mouthed I'll talk to you after class.

I nod and look at Dumbbell who was glaring at us. I glare right back. He scared Rainbow really badly. That was not okay. Noone is gunna hurt Rainbow. Not while I'm around.
