Chapter 16..
Pic of Izuna at the side -->
Remember, I messed with the time line in this story, so all the original Akatsuki members are older. I already explained all this in the introduction, but I just say it again in case some people already forgot :)
Sasuke's POV
I was sitting on a huge skeleton just outside the hideout of the Akatsuki. All those memories of Itachi, it's like I could remember them more clearly now. It seemed that Madara was speaking the truth when he told me about Itachi. Kaira seemed to know something of it this as well, and after seeing the look on Madara's face when Obito told him about Kaira, I knew she wasn't supposed to know. She may always have that stoic expression on her face, but when I looked into her eyes, I knew she was upset. Was Kaira that close to my brother? She did defend him the whole time when I asked her about him. I will have to talk to her about this later.
''What are you doing here?'' I heard his voice ask. ''The preparations are already complete.''
I looked down and saw Madara approach me. ''When I gaze upon the full moon. I recall the memories of that night.'' I spoke. ''As well as... the memories I've tried hard to forget.. I can suddenly remember things about Itachi. So now all of those faint and fleeing memories are surfacing from beyond my once locked heart..''
I looked up at the full moon for just a few seconds, thinking back at the night when Itachi massacred our clan. ''He was crying back then..'' I said as I looked back at Madara again. ''I thought I just imagined it.. I couldn't figure out why..''
''It looks like you told me the truth.'' I continued.
''What will you do?'' Madara asked, looking up to me. ''Will you take Itachi's eyes?''
''No.'' I answered. ''The things Itachi wanted to see and the things I'm going to see will be different. I can't do what Itachi wanted me to do.'' I spoke. ''I'll revive the Uchiha in my own way.''
Madara's POV.
When we were all upstairs in the meeting room, Sasuke sat down on one of the chairs.
''Before we start.'' I mumbled. ''I would like to introduce you to..'' I pulled Miyu closer to me, so she wouldn't stand behind me. ''Miyu Uchiha.'' Sasuke narrowed his eyes at her, but Miyu didn't flinch at all and smiled kindly instead. ''Nice to meet you, Sasuke-san.'' she spoke softly. Miyu still looked pale, and I pulled her even closer to me, whispering in her ear. ''You can go back to Asuki now.''
Miyu nodded, and turned around and walked away. I looked back at Sasuke. He didn't need to know what was going on with Miyu. Pointing at my daughter, who was standing on the other side, I said. ''That's Suki, and next to her is Izuna. It seemed you already met Suki, isn't that right?'' I asked lowly, remembering she told me Sasuke had held her captive. He already knew Kisame and Obito, so introducing them wasn't necessary. Sasuke sighed and nodded. ''Yes.''
''Are they both from the Uchiha?'' Suigetsu asked as he pointed at Izuna and Suki.
Wasn't it obvious yet? Izuna looked already a lot like me, and Suki as well. ''Yes.'' I spoke annoyed. ''I'm their father.''
''Where's Kaira?'' Sasuke asked. I raised an eyebrow at him. ''Why do you want to know?''
''No reason.'' he replied. ''Anyway. We, Taka, will destroy Konoha.''
I sighed and sat down on the table. ''You can say it all you want, but how do you plan on accomplishing that?''
''My targets are the Elders. I couldn't care less about anyone else.'' Sasuke said coldly.
''If you target a king, his soldiers will be there to defend him.'' Kisame grinned wisely, still with that sly smirk plastered on his face. ''It won't be that easy.. Plus, your little ''Taka'' group doesn't seem strong enough anyway.''
Izuna couldn't hide a chuckle and Suki nudged Kisame, sending him a warning glare. Suigetsu smirked. ''Kisame-senpai, I wouldn't underestimate us if I were you. Our little game from before still isn't finished... I'll get serious this time.'' he threatened.
''Stop it, Suigetsu!'' Jugo exclaimed.
Kisame's smirk only grew, and I got slightly annoyed. When Suigetsu suddenly slid over the table, his sword in his hands, ready to cut Kisame, Obito got in the way and blocked it with his arm. I grunted and closed my eyes, while Obito glared at Sasuke. ''Sasuke! Teach your med some discipline!''
When I opened my eyes again, Suigetsu looked pretty irritated, and I turned my head to look at Sasuke, but he just looked indifferent.
''Suigetsu!'' Karin yelled, adjusting her glasses. ''You fucking idiot! This isn't the place for that!''
Suigetsu glared daggers at the annoying redhead. ''My only goal is gettting that Samehada!'' he shouted. ''The only reason I joined up with Sasuke was to get it!''
I sighed. With these two in the base, things wil get noisy. I hope they will leave each other alone before they really annoy me, and let's just say they don't want me annoyed..
''Sasuke, what're you gonna do?'' Finally, the wise one began to join the conversation..
''Fine, do as you please, Suigetsu.'' Sasuke replied. ''You probably can't beat him yet anyway.''
Kisame chuckled and Suigetsu looked at Sasuke. ''Oh, don't say that, Sasuke. But just you wait. One of these days, I'll definitely treat you to some delicious shark fin soup!''
Obito pushed Suigetsu's sword aside. ''Akatsuki's also lacking manpower as of now, so let us refrain from any unnecessary skirmishes.''
Obito was right. Hidan, Kakuzu, Sasori, Itachi, Pein are already dead. Konan left the Akatsuki, so I'd have to deal with her later. I won't let Kaira and Suki go on missions anymore. Asuki is the medic, so she never goes on missions. I won't let Miyu go on missions either, and Shisui, Yuki, Rai and Kuri aren't that strong at all. So only Obito, Izuna Kisame, Deidara and I remain.
''Then you shouldn't be looking down on others.'' Suigetsu said.
''Our goals coincide.'' I spoke up. ''That's why Taka will cooperate with Akatsuki from now on.''
Sasuke didn't look very happy as he looked at me. ''And what do we get out of this?''
''We'll share the Bijuu.'' I answered.
''Bijuu?''
''You don't know anything about them?'' Izuna asked slightly surprised.
''I know!'' Karin said. I was already tired of hearing her voice, it was annoying.. ''Like the Kyuubi, they're basically just physical forms of chakra tha-'' ''What are they?'' Sasuke interrupted as he raised his hand, motioning Karin to stop talking.
''They're chakra monsters.'' I explained. ''The First Hokage used to have several under his control. But as Hokage, Hashirama began sharing them during each Great Ninja War as a peace treaty between villages. It was his way of stabilizing the power balance between the Five Great Nations. You could call them the ultimate chakra weapons.'' I smirked. ''Not a bad deal, is it?''
Karin pouted, probably insulted because Sasuke wouldn't let her explain it.
''How generous of you.'' Sasuke mocked, but I knew he was interested.
''However.'' I continued. ''If you betray Akatsuki, I'll have you killed.''
Sasuke narrowed his eyes at me at first, but then a smirk appeared on his face.
''There's a total of nine Bijuu in the world.'' Kisame said. ''Akatsuki has six of them, but there's stil three left...''
''Akatsuki and Taka will split up in the remaining search.'' I continued. ''That's our primary goal..''
''You stil haven't obtained the Kyuubi, correct?'' Sasuke asked.
I looked at him from the corners of my eyes. I knew what he really meant by that.. ''Taka will capture the Hachibi. Akatsuki will handle the rest.'' I spoke lowly. ''That includes Naruto.''
He'll be a challenge, and it's been a long time since I enjoyed myself in a fight. I was tired of constantly fighting those weak fools.
''Kisame, Izuna will be your new partner. You'll be capturing the Nanabi tomorrow.'' I added, and Izuna grinned and nudged Kisame, who ruffled Izuna's hair. ''Let's go, kid.''
Sasuke's POV.
I was sitting in the library. Suki showed me the way after the meeting.. I've been sitting here for a couple of hours now. I needed time to think about everything that had happened, and that will happen. It was also nice to have silence once in a while, instead of continuously hearing Suigetsu and Karin's bickering.
I looked up when I heard footsteps nearing. I saw the blonde woman from before walking at me. From what I remembered, her name was Miyu.
''Do you mind if I sit here?'' she asked.
''Go ahead.''
Miyu smiled at me and sat down, picking a scroll out of the pocket of her cloak. I ignored her and looked back at my hands on the table. I still had to talk to Kaira. Anout how she knew about what Itachi did. I assume not many people knew about it, and it was a secret, so how did Kaira found out about this secret? How much did she know? Does every Akatsuki member know about it?
''Miyu.''
I looked up again, and Miyu did so as well. Madara casually strode over to us, and he held something in his hand. Izuna walked behind him. ''Madara.'' Miyu mumbled. ''Is something wrong?''
''No, Asuki just told me to give you this.'' Madara handed Miyu a bottle with water and some pills. Miyu's gaze saddened and she weakly smiled at Madara. ''Thanks.''
Miyu put the pills in her mouth and drank the water, swallowing the pills. Why did she had to swallow those? Was she sick or something? Ah well, it didn't matter.
I stood up, and they all looked at me as I walked away. It was time to have a talk with Kaira. If she knew more about it, maybe she can tell me something I didn't know yet as well.
''Why?! Why didn't you kill him when you had the chance?!'' I heard someone yell. I frowned, I haven't heard that voice before. Weren't all the members at the meeting?
''Shut up, Shisui!''
I immediately recognized Kaira's voice, and walked at what I presumed was the living room.
''It didn't matter if I killed Sasuke or not!''
Were they talking about me? I walked into the living room, and saw Kaira glaring, her Sharingan activated, at a boy around the 14 years old.
''Of course it would have mattered!'' the boy shouted. ''If you had killed Sasuke when he was injured, dad would still be alive now!''
I froze. Dad? Did Itachi have a kid?! I knew he was a lot older than me, but I never expected him to be a father.
''He wouldn't!'' Kaira yelled back. ''Itachi would have died anyway! He had an incurable sickness, Shisui. So even if he didn't fight Sasuke, Itachi wouldn't be alive now anyway!''
''Liar! Dad would have told us if-''
Slap.
Kaira slapped the boy across the face. ''Shut up, Shisui! Enough of this! Why would I lie about this, huh?!'' she hissed. ''Now go!''
Shisui sent Kaira one last gare, before he turned around, and saw me. He froze, and his eyes widened, but then he narrowed his eyes at me, glaring. Hatred was shown in his eyes. ''You!''
Kaira now turned her head, and she frowned when she saw me. ''Sasuke..''
Shisui ran at me, and he had already grabbed a kunai out of his pouch, but before he could reach me, a hand grabbed his wrist and the kunai fell out of his hand. ''Shisui, leave Sasuke alone.'' Kaira grunted. ''He killed dad!'' Shisui exclaimed, tears streaming down his cheeks.
''I know, but he's still your uncle.'' Kaira spoke.
Shisui looked at me, disgusted. ''Dad told me so many things about you! He talked of you like you were a great person, but you're just a jerk! I hate you!''
Kaira grunted and grabbed his shoulder firmly. ''Shisui!''
''It's fine, Kaira.. It's obvious he doesn't know about it..'' I spoke, knowing that Kaira knew what I meant with 'it'.
Shisui yanked himself free, and left the room. I sighed and turned back to Kaira. ''No need to defend me, I can handle such a kid myself..'' I mumbled.
Kaira smirked. ''You're not the enemy anymore, and besides, I don't think he should say such things to you without knowing the truth. It's not right.''
''About that.'' I murmured. ''I need to talk to you.''
