Hey, guys! Well, here it is. The final chapter. The last NaLu you'll ever read for about a month.....I feel sorry for you lot :'(. Well, it's been fun. I have to admit, this story wasn't exactly my best, but oh well! Anyhoo, here's the FINAL CHAPTER TO LEARNING TO LOVE! stay in tune for my newest naLu story (title not chosen yet!) After resting a little bit more, I woke up to Lucy staring at me again. In my opinion, Lucy in bed with less clothing and messy hair is just too sexy. Her bangs just fell over her eyes perfectly, and the blankets just barely covered her body. "You sure like to sleep, don't you?" Lucy giggled.

"I did stay up all night with my beloved," I whispered, leaning closer to Lucy. She rested her head on my bare chest, and I ran my fingers on Lucy's red markings. Her hand searched for mine, and I grabbed it, squeezing it tightly. "So...Can I ask you a favor?"

I cocked my head. "A favor? Of what kind?"

"Could we go shopping for new clothes. All I have are those tarnished priestess clothes," Lucy sighed. I laughed. It has been a while since I've seen her in...well, normal clothes. I nodded. "Alright, alright. What ever the lady wants."

As a thank you, Lucy attacked me with her lips. My lips tensed up at first, but I soon melted in her kiss. I rolled on top of her silk smooth body. I trailed my kisses down to her neck, and I could hear her breathing get heavier and heavier. "Na..tsu," she breathed. I shut her up by sticking my tongue in her mouth. She moaned as she wrapped her arms around me, digging her nails into my back. I lowered her hand from her head to between her legs. Suddenly, using her surprising strength, she flipped me over and pinned me to the bed. My eyes widened, and she smirked. "Please...not now...It's already the afternoon."

"I know," I muttered, pressing my face into the center of her breasts, "but I want to be inside of you right now."

I could feel Lucy shutter as I said those words. "We will later, just now in the afternoon. It's weird." I sighed with disappointment. Lucy gently pecked me on the lips. "We will continue this later." And with that, she rolled out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I laid on the bed and sighed. "I'm totally in love right now."

After that heated moment, we got changed and went over to the outlet mall by my house. Lucy looked fascinated by all the different types of clothing that she couldn't even breathe. I slapped her back and said, "Oi, breathe."

She did what she was told. "Sorry! I just forgot how much clothes fascinated me. It's like I've died and gone to heaven!"

"Calm down, eh. You go pick out some clothes, I'll wait right here." She nodded and ran off into the clothing department. I sat down on the closest bench and patently waited for her. This may take a while, I sighed. For a while, I was just fiddling with my phone, texting people who would never reply, et cetra. Lucy hasn't taken me shopping in over five years. I've forgotten how boring it was.

"Psst! Psst!" Someone whispered from afar. I looked around and saw a little stand that was the source of the noise. A little head popped out from behind its eyes met mine. "PSSST!" I looked around to see if it was anyone else it was talking about, but there was no one else around. I walked gingerly walked over to the little wooden stand and muttered, "Um...hello?"

Suddenly, a small man jumped on top of the stand, scaring me half to death. He almost looked like a hermit in drags and long grey hair and grey eyes, but had a tan skin as tan as mine. "HAHA! I know you!"

"You do?"

"Well, no...Yes...No? Ugh, I don't know, I'm too old for this!" THe man looked quite confused and was practically arguing with himself, so I began to walk away slowly. "Oh, now where do you think you're going, sonny!"

Startled, I looked back at him. "I don't know what you want with me, sir. Obviosly your're ill."

The old coot cocked his head. "Me? Ill? How rude of you, sir!"

I sighed. "I'm sorry, now what do you want?"

"Was that blond chick your girlfriend?" He winked. I could feel my face burn a little and nodded. The old man laughed out loud. "And let me guess, you guys just got back from some WILD adventure, am I right?"

My eyes widened. "H-How did you-?"

"Aha, I knew it! I've been waiting for you, boy!"

"Y-You have?"

"Of course. Your old man sent me from THE BEYOND!" My eyes widened. My old man....does he mean Igneel? "W-Why did my 'old man' send you?"

"Ah, a parting gift he says. A gift for saving the world and the girl." He dug into his ragged pockets and took out a little white box. "Um...how exactly do you know my...'old man'?"

"Ahh...," he muttered with a nervous laugh, "he and I made a bet.....well, we made a bet on whether you were gonna be a boy or a girl, and I thought you were gonna be a girl!"

My eyes widened. "A girl?!"

"Yeah, a girl. Your name was gonna be Nina."

I groaned. "Can you just tell me what's in the box?"

"Fine, fine." He slowly opened the box to reveal a sparkling ring. It was sterling silver with something embroidered on it. "....Dras un Ban se Diano. What does that mean?"

"Thank you for being mine." The old coot smiled. "I think you should give it to her."

I held the ring on my palm. It was surprisingly warm when it touched my skin. "...Should I?"

"Of course, you idiot! You know, back in my day, I would already be a grandfather at your age!" I nervously laughed. I don't know if this man is some kind of love guru or just a crazy old man, I thought.

"Natsu! Where are you! Natsu!" Lucy called out from a distance.

"Shit, I forgot she was shopping!" I shoved the ring in my pocket and ran away from the stand. "Thanks...I think!" I called out,

"No problem, sonny! I'll tell your old man you said hi!" I sprinted back to where I was sitting, but slowed down at the sight of Lucy. She looked....I couldn't even describe how beautiful she looked. She wore blue shorts that only went up to her upper thighs, showing off her long legs. She wore a black tank-top that was pretty low. Her hair was down to her shoulders with a black and blue headband. I couldn't help but just stare with my jaw dropped to the ground. "H-How do I look?"

"Um...Well, you....you definetely look, uh-"

"You don't like it, do you," Lucy frowned.

"No! You look fantastic and sexy!" I yelled. I could feel the stares of the other civilians at me, blushing at me screaming the world 'sexy'. "Uh, that came out wrong...and embarrasing."

Lucy giggled. "So you really like it? It doesn't make me look like a teen..."

"What's wrong with looking like a teen?" I smirked, walking closer to her.

"Natsu, I'm twenty-four. I should be looking my age, not act younger." I smiled as her face turned pure red. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into my arms. She flinched a little, but soon got easy at my embrace. "I don't care how old you look; you're still Lucy."

I could feel Lucy's arm around me. "Thanks, Natsu."

When we arrived at Fairy Tail, we noticed everyone was a little more wound up than usual. People were drinking tripple the amount of alchol they usually do, and music was playing at a maximum level. "Whoa, what's going on here!" I yelled.

Everyone looked at us and blushed. "GAJEEL PROPOSE TO LEVY!"

"What! Are you serious!" Lucy cried. Levy crawled from the giant crowd, taking a deep breath. She stood up and smiled, showing us her engagement ring. It had a gold band and a huge diamond that shined so brightly I thought i was gonna go blin. "THATS THE BIGGEST ROCK I"VE EVER SEEN!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Oi, Gajeel. How did you afford this?"

"Uh...well, you see, I-,"

"Gajeel got a part time job!" Gray exlaimed from within the crowd.

I cracked up hysterically, choking on my beer. "Gajeel? A job? That's unbelievable!"

Lucy slapped me on the back head, glaring at me. "Well I think it's very romantic! Congratulations Levy!"

"Thanks, Lu-chan! Will you be my maid of honor?"

"Of course, Levy!"

"Cheers to the happy couple!" I cried, raising a glass of alcohol in the air. Everyone cheered with glee, raising their glasses in the air. Soon, everyone was celebrating the normal Fairy Tail way. Everyone was drinking to their heart's content, not giving a care in the world. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder and noticed that it was Artemis and Liora. "I can tell you and Lucy-neechan had a fun night," Liora winked.

"W-W-What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Aw, c'mon! Her markings are so noticeable in that outfit!" Artemis cried. I could feel my face blushing a lot. Artemis laughed, wrapping her arm around me. "You're a funny kid, ya know that?"

"Kid? I'm older than you by like seven years!"

"Yet who's the mature one out of the three of us!" She stuck her tongue out. I just shook my head and laughed. Lucy noticed her sister and partner and ran up to them, giving them a hug. "Speaking of guys, I'd like you guys to meet someone! I met him yesterday as if by Fate! C'mon, don't be shy!"

A figure was arriving through the group of people. At first, I didn't know who it was, but my memory was able to help me out. "Sting!"

"Natsu!" He cried, eyes wide. I smiled and patted his back with all my strength. "It's good to see ya, man!"

"Wait, you guys know each other!" Artemis cried.

"Natsu and I met him five years ago at the Guild Competitions," Lucy explained.

"We used to hate each other's guts, but now we're like brothers," Sting smiled, wrapping one arm around me and the other around Artemis.

"How exactly did you two even meet?" I asked.

"Well, I was thinking of stopping by for old time's sake, and the girl had the nerve to jump me."

"I thought he was one of Solar's extras...And well, I apologized, we talked.....you don't have to know the rest."

I noticed Lucy blush. "Artemis, you're eighteen!"

"Which means I'm a woman now! My marks are yellow, by the way," she whispered.

"That's it. I can't hear anymore of this. Natsu, can you come outside with me," Lucy said, pressing her hand against her head. I nodded and followed her out the door. When we reached the doors outside, Lucy began to sway a little. Before she could fall completely, I grabbed her by the shoulder. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah...I just a little to much to drink....and I haven't taken my pills in over eleven hours."

"What!" I cried, remembering what happened the last time. "Do you have any on you!"

Lucy nodded. She searched through her bag and took out four bottles of pills. "Can you open these for me?" I nodded frantically, grabbing the bottles and putting the pills in her mouth. She was sweating a lot, but that soon ceased after a while. "Thank...you."

"You have to more careful next time!"

"I know...I'm sorry," Lucy sighed. I sat down on the grass and allowed her to rest in my arms. "Maybe...Maybe if I hadn't made that deal with Solar in the beginning...maybe I wouldn't be this weak. Maybe...Lisanna wouldn't have died."

"But what about Liora?"

"I know," Lucy sighed again, pressing her hand against her face. "Ugh, why is the world so....so-,"

"Complicated?"

Lucy chuckled softly. "Yes, complicated."

"With out complications, out world would be so dull," I sighed. I could feel Lucy nod against my chest. We were silent for a minute, only hearing the bass from the music at the guild. "What do you like about me?"

"huh?"

"What exactly do you like about me? I told what I liked about me back at the hotel." She wasn't looking at me straight in the eye, but buried her face in my chest. I was silent for a moment, trying to think  of what to say. "Well Lucy....I love your smile. I love your laugh. I love your passion for reading and writing. I love how you always to your best...And I love you for being you."

Lucy looked up at me and smiled. "I love you too, Natsu."

I guess now is the best time to give her the ring. I placed her down on the grass and stood in front of her. I kneeled on one knee and presented her the ring. Her eyes widened, and her face flushed. "Natsu, is this-!"

"No, it's not!" I assured her. "It's a promise ring."

"A promise ring?"

"To promise me that you'll be mine and only mine...Will you be mine, Lucy?"

Lucy smiled and nodded. I smiled back, sighing with relief. I grabbed her left and slid the silver ring on her finger.

Suddenly, she jumped on top of me, pressing her lips on mine. I gasped with shock, and we both went tumbling to the ground. We both went tumbling down, yet her lips were still locked on mine. Lucy was laughing hysterically, which happened to be contagious. Finally, we stopped rolling, which resulted with Lucy on top of me. She finally pulled away and smiled. "Geez, aren't you scared of hurting yourself?" I laughed, pushing the leaves out of Lucy's hair.

"As long as I'm in Natsu's care, I know I'll be fine."

I smiled at her. I rolled on top of her and planted my lips on her, but more gently and softly. She relaxed as she ran her fingers through my pink hair.

I don't deserve her.

Yet fate allowed her to be with me.

I love her so much that it hurts.

"Natsu...," she whispered between the kiss.

"Lucy...," I would whisper back.

I love her.

And she loves me.

"Will you hold me forever?" Lucy asked.

"I will," I whispered, kissing her on the forehead, "and I'll never, ever, let you go."
