Ressler's POV

It is one of your rare days off  since the creation of the task force and you are about to walk into your favourite cafe when disaster strikes in the form of a woman who is not paying attention crashing into you and spilling her coffee all over you

"I'm so sorry," the woman immediately apologises

"It's not the worst thing that has happened to me, I think I should go inside and get cleaned up," you reply thinking about some of the things that have happened to you

"Maybe I could get you a cup of coffee to say sorry?" the woman suggests

"and the name is (Y/N)," 

"yea sure the name is Donald," you take (Y/N) up on her offer because that's what you came here to do in the first place

"I'll let you clean up first," (Y/N) responds 

"ok," you reply as you both enter the cafe

"I'll be back," you head to the bathroom 

Five minutes later you have finished cleaning up to the best of your ability and you've sat down next to (Y/N) who has two cups of coffee 

"as I said before I'm sorry about spilling the coffee on you but I was distracted by thinking about my latest job assignment," (Y/N) remarks as she passes you one of the cups of coffee as well as giving you the feeling that you've heard her name before

"do you mind me asking where you work?" you ask to confirm your suspicion 

"All I can tell you is I work for the FBI hang on are you Donald Ressler," (Y/N) says obviously coming to the realisation that you could be her next partner

"yes let me guess your last name is (Y/L/N)," you respond as you realise she will be joining you at the post office 

"anyway sorry I ruined day off," she says suddenly ashamed

"Like I said I had worse happen to me," 

Your POV

you are about to walk out of your favourite cafe but you are distracted by thinking about your latest job assignment. You fail to notice a man who is entering. You slam into him spilling your coffee down his shirt 

"I'm so sorry," you say realising what you have done 

"It's not the worst thing that has happened to me, I think I should go inside and get cleaned up," he responds 

"Maybe I could get you a cup of coffee to say sorry?" you suggest awkwardly because you feel bad for spilling your coffee all over his shirt 

"and the name is (Y/N),"

"yea sure the name is Donald," the man replies taking you up on your offer 

"I'll let you clean up first," You respond thinking it would be a good idea if you let Donald clean up 

"ok," Donald replies as you both enter the cafe

"I'll be back," Donald heads to the bathroom and you head to the counter 

"can I have two flat whites please?" You assume it's ok to get two of the same coffees 

Five minutes later you have gotten the coffees and Donald has finished cleaning up. He has also sat next to you

"as I said before I'm sorry about spilling the coffee on you but I was distracted by thinking about my latest job assignment," you apologise again 

You also get the feeling you may be talking to Donald Ressler your new partner 

"do you mind me asking where you work?" he asks 

"All I can tell you is I work for the FBI hang on are you Donald Ressler?" You say coming to the realisation that there is a ninety-eight per cent  chance that the man in front of you is your next partner 

  "yes let me guess your last name is (Y/L/N),"

"anyway sorry I ruined day off," you say suddenly ashamed
