I woke up and sat up with a groan, dry blood painted the right side of my face. I blinked back tears as I rose to my feet, my chest felt heavy and I felt scared.
I hugged myself as I started to walk in the direction of my home.

I walked through the door and glanced over, my mother was sleeping on the couch. Guess work tired her out...
Shrugging my shoulders, I go to the bathroom and lock myself in. I turn on the warm water and grab a cloth, wetting it before dabbing the blood on my face. I yelped out in pain, sniffling. Tears streamed down my face as I finished, going immediately to my room.
I slipped off my shirt and pants, staying in my boxers as I climbed into bed. I threw my covers on top of my body as I cried.

I walked downstairs the next morning after getting dressed, my chest still feeling heavy as I carried my backpack. Once I walked into the dinning room, I was greeted by my mom.
"Daniel Jason LaRusso," she screamed, I could see the worry and panic in her eyes. "Where were you last night!?"
I swallowed thickly. "I-i fell asleep at Johnny's, Ma...I-i didn't mean to." She sighed, looking into my eyes. "Then call me next time Daniel, you scared me. I thought something bad happened to you."
Something bad did happen Ma, but I don't think I could tell you, or anybody for that matter...
I nodded and forced a grin. "Okay Ma, I'll see you later." I walked towards the direction of the front door.
"Daniel? Don't you want breakfast?" I shook my head slowly. "No Ma. I'll eat at school."
I walked out of the door and onto the sidewalk.

I walked off the bus, behind Ali by a couple feet. The bus driver was late so we were late to class by ten minutes. Not a lot, but I hate being late.
I mentally groaned as I walked to my homeroom, only to see a line of kids waiting at the door. I tilted my head as I got into line, right behind Johnny Lawrence. Johnny has been my best friend since first grade when he defended me against four guys named Bobby, Tommy, Dutch and Jimmy.
I pulled on the sleeve of Johnny's brown leather jacket. He glanced over at me and grinned, ruffling my short hair.
Usually, I'd swat his hand away and tell him to quit. But this time, I didn't say anything or do anything, I just let him.
"Daniel, what's wrong," he questioned. I shrugged off his question and asked one myself. "Where's Ms. Monroe?"
"Don't know. She hasn't showed up yet Danny." I nodded slightly, closing my eyes.
Thank god that the teacher was late...
