Dinner

When Zaylee woke up, I noticed that she wasn't as mentally tired anymore. Her eyes weren't darker than the night sky and her self doubt was almost gone. The fact that I told her that she was not a screw up really must've helped her.

"Are you ready to meet the king again, kitten?" Loki asked.

"Yeah, yeah. Just give me a couple minutes," she got up and went to the bathroom, shutting the door.

"Did you figure out why she had the panic attack?" Loki asked.

"Stage fright I guess," I replied. "She'll be better at dinner."

"I hope so," Loki he said. Then, he wrapped his arm around me. "What's wrong with you?"

"I'm worried for Zaylee," I answered quietly so she couldn't hear me.

"Well, let me help you," he started to tickle my sides and I screeched, laughing. He continuously tickled me until Zaylee came out of the bathroom and laughed.

"Get her Frozone!" She laughed, staying a safe distance from Loki. Finally, after what felt like an eternity but was just ten minutes, Loki stopped his attack and brought me into his lap.

"Did I overdo it?" He asked.

"Yes, you jerk!" I cried. Zaylee was just calming down from laughing at me and I glared at her. "You didn't even help me!"

"I know," she smirked. "You two ready, or do I need to leave?"

I flushed red and glared at her. "You little-"

"Jerk, I know," she laughed. "Fix your hair real quick and let's go."

A servant came in and fixed my hair for me, even after I demanded that I could do it myself, and it looked better than before. We walked out and saw Zaylee talking to a random servant.

"-and then I came here. Oh, well, it's time for a redo to meet the king. I'll see you later, Aquee," she walked away from the servant girl, who returned to her duties, and walked behind us. I made sure to keep a close eye on her while Loki wrapped his arm around my waist and held my hand.

When we got to the dining room, I noticed that Zaylee's face wasn't too pale and I patted her shoulder. She smiled and followed us inside, allowing Loki to guide the way. We sat down at the table, Loki next to me and Zaylee across from Loki. Odin sat at the head while I sat at the other head -only because Loki insisted- while Frigga was next to Zaylee and Thor next to Loki.

The food came and I waited for Odin to say something. Loki started to play footsie under the table with me and I kicked him, telling him to back off. He smirked at me before returning his attention to the talking King. "-and I'm very sorry we could not properly meet. I am Odin Borson, King of Asgard, and this is my wife, Frigga."

"Nice to meet ya," Zaylee replied with a small country accent. "I wanted to apologize for makin' a scene back there. I don't know what got into me."

"Everyone gets nervous," Odin replied.

Loki probably tried to mess with Zaylee to get her mind off the nervousness, and he ended up grunting from the force of her kick. "Well, Zaylee, are you going to eat?" Frigga asked quietly. Zaylee brought herself out of a trance and started to eat the salad carefully.

"I'm sorry. My mind wandered," she chuckled.

After an awkward silence, Frigga decided to turn it up a notch. "Well, Loki, should I be expecting any grandchildren?"

Loki and I went very red while Zaylee cracked up, nearly choking on her food. Thor followed her lead but his laughter outmatched her's tenfold. Zaylee laughed for a good minute before calming down, wiping the tears from her eyes and smiling at us. "I don't know, should I be expecting a sibling you two?"

"Mother," Loki growled.

"It was an honest question, my boy!" Odin smirked, enjoying the embarrassment.

"Of course not..." I said. Zaylee chuckled.

"Okay then..."

"Zaylee Rachel Jones-"

"Ooh, middle name," Loki said, interrupting me. "You're in trouble."

"I know," she chuckled. "Sorry Medusa."

"Oh, it was in good fun, Lady Claudia," Thor laughed. "Spare Zaylee."

"Queen Frigga, I have to say, that was great," Zaylee laughed.

"Thank you, little one."

"According to Zaylee," Loki said. "She's fun sized, not little."

"What does that mean?" Thor asked.

"I'm tiny compared to that moose," she nodded over to Loki, who glared at her. I chuckled. "Even Claudia agrees, Frozone."

"I don't understand..." Thor said.

"Moose. Big, hairy animal with antlers and long legs," Zaylee explained vaguely.

"I'll have Jane show you one when we get home," I said.

"Lady Claudia, how has Loki been treating you?" Odin asked. "Good I hope."

"Yes, sir, very good. A gentleman," I said, kissing Loki gently. I heard Zaylee make a gagging noise.

"I'm eating you two," she said.

"Honestly," Thor muttered.

"Don't even talk. You and Jane started making out in a booth at Pizza Hut while you were taking my basketball team out for a celebration dinner," Zaylee took a bite of her vegetables and I saw Loki and Odin smirk.

"I thought we agreed not to talk about that..." Thor growled.

"You talked, I listened. I never said anything about an agreement," she said, sipping her water. Thor rolled his eyes at the kid and she laughed. "Jeez, Thor, you're so dramatic."

"I am n-"

"Thor, not now," Frigga said sternly, immediately shutting him up. We said in silence for a minute, only hearing Zaylee's quiet tapping of her foot. I heard Loki move his leg to stop her movement.

"You're bothering me," he said. She shrugged and finished off her meal.

"Um... King Odin? Your Majesty? Highness- What do I call you?" Zaylee asked and Loki facepalmed.

Frigga chuckled. "Just King and Queen, love."

"Right, thanks. Uh, what was it like raising Thor and Loki?" She asked. Wow, good question kiddo.

"Difficult," they replied at the same time. Thor and Loki looked mildly offended. "Well, you two were definitely not easy to care for!" Frigga cried.

"We weren't," Loki said to Thor. "We fought. A lot."

"Too much," Odin said.

"True," Thor agreed.

"I was just curious, thanks," she smiled.

"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you," Odin said as he stood up. "But I must be going. Kingly duties, of course."

"Cool," Zaylee stood up and I followed. We went to walk out but Odin stopped us.

"There are some kings and queens from other realms that are here to make peace," Odin said. "I thought I should warn you."

"Thank you, King," I said. Loki walked out with me in his arms. Zaylee disappeared to go to the music room and Loki and I walked over to a garden. It had a small pond in the middle of it with a beautiful scenery full of trees and flowers and so much more. Loki layed down in the grass and I followed suit, resting my head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat.

"I love it here, Loki," I smiled, putting my hands in his.

"I love you, Claudia," he replied, kissing my hair. We sat there in silence for a little while until I drifted off into dreamland, happy that I could simply rest with my soulmate without the world falling around us. "Goodnight, pet."

"Night Loki."

That sucked.
