okaasan/mother-おかあさん-well not only this one is used for all mothers.
otoosa/father-おとうさん- this one too not all fathers. but some
okachan/baby-あかちゃん- it can be akachan or akambo
oniisan/big brother(i know some know this)- oops oniichan is okay to use too....
oneesan/big sister-おねえさん
otooto/younger brother- おとうと
imouto/ younger sister- いもうと

ANIMALS(some of others' favorite)
cat- neko- ねこ
dog- inu-いぬ
owl-fukuro-ふくろ
rabbit-usagi-うさぎ
panda-panda (its the same)-ぱんだ
tiger-toraーとら
bird-toriーとり

NAMES
well if you are from te other country, your name should be in katakana. but for japanese, they use hiragana.

katherine-カテリン
Daniel-ダニエル
