Chapter 2 Journey
"I am sorry my lady." Thalia said. "I heard you going out and I was worried."
"Yes, I'm sorry too. I couldn't sleep so I took a walk and heard voices."
Artemis sighed "Oh well, what's done is done. Now let's get back to camp. I have to talk to you."
"Lady Artemis, what did you mean about Aphrodite? Why is she gone?" Thalia said.
"Stop. All will be explained in due time."
We walked on silently towards camp.
When we got there Artemis woke up all of the other hunters.
The girls emerged from their tents, looking drowsy and tired.
"I have some news for you girls, something is happening up on Mount Olympus and I have to go up there to help fix it. So, while I'm gone, you will have to go to Camp Halfblood."
There was dead silence. Then everyone broke out talking.
"What's happening up on Mount Olypmus?"
"Why do we have to go to Camp Halfblood?"
"Silence!" Artemis exclaimed. "I'm sorry if you don't want to go to Camp Halfblood right now but it is dangerous for you to travel. You will be safe there. I'm not sure what is going on up on Olympus, but I'm going up there to try and fix it. I've already asked Chiron to send some transportation."
"What transportation?"
"Pegasus. They should be arriving shortly." Artemis replied "Goodbye my hunters, I will see you soon."
Then she turned into her Divine form and was gone.
Everyone was standing there shocked.
Thalia broke the silence by saying "Alright I know some of you aren't happy about this-"
"Yeah!"
"but whatever Lady Artemis says we have to do. So let's pack up the camp and wait for the pegasus."
Everyone was grumbling while they packed up camp, I helped pick up supplies while I thought about the camp.
I'd never seen Camp Halfblood before but I had heard it was amazing. I had also heard of the famous Percy Jackson, who had save Olympus twice, and his girlfriend, Annabeth Chase.
I never have seen a Pegasus before, so I was excited about that too. I had never been claimed either, so I didn't know who my godly parent was.
When the Pegasus arrived, I gasped. They were breath taking with beautiful wings.
There was about 8 of them, and one of them had a rider on its back.
It was a guy with messy black hair and sea green eyes. I have to admit, he was pretty cute.
I looked over at Thalia and saw that she was smirking.
"You're late Kelp Head."
"Well I'm so sorry to be an inconvenience to you Pinecone Face."
Wait how did Thalia know this guy? Was he the famous Percy Jackson?
"Hey how does Thalia know this guy?" I said as I elbowed another Hunter.
"Who? Percy?" The Hunter, Madeline, said "Well Thalia used to go to CHB before she was a Hunter. Well, actually before all that she was a pine tree."
"Huh?"
"Long story."Madeline said as she smiled at my confused expression.
Okay... I had learned just to accept things as they were in stead of thinking about it. No one knew what crazy things could happen to a demigod.
I had only been with the hunters for a couple of months, so I was fairly new. I remembered the night I became a Hunter.
"Do you pledge yourself for me?" Artemis's face glowed in the moon light. "Do you turn your back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the hunt?"
"I pledge myself to the Goddess Artemis. I turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the Hunt." I repeated.
After the ceremony, I felt more at peace. I also felt stronger and calmer. I noticed a silver glow around me too.
"Hey, Astria, were leaving now." another Hunter nudged me.
"Huh?" I snapped out of my flashback. "Oh, ok."
I climbed on a caramel colored Pegasus, with bronze wings and we flew off into the night.
AN Hey! I told you I would get the next chapter up soon! You will probably get fast updates because it is thanksgiving break for me. So how did you like it? Please comment! I would love to get some feedback.
Yours in demigoddishness and all that. Peace out.
