Project

The Wolf stared into the forest silently, his ears pricked into the air. It was an ordinary day, other than a little girl in a red cape strolling in the woods, carrying a basket filled with baked goods. The wolf trailed behind the girl, his nose stuck upwards, whiffing a scent of the scent in the air.

"Hey, little girl!" The wolf called to the girl, leaping in front of her and causing her to halt suddenly in surprise, shrieking and scampering behind a tree for her life.

"Do not fret, I'm only here to smell, what's that you have there, in your hand?" He barked, slowly stepping towards the girl in red, only wanting to smell the baked goods in her hand.

"Get back, Big Wolf! Go away, be gone! These goods are for my granny, not to satisfy the hunger in your eyes!" She shouted, yanking the basket out of his view, hiding it under her cape and attempting to shoo the wolf away.

He blinked and glared, his teeth bared and glistening, for he did not like the attitude she was giving. "Oh? Not even a bit? There must be plenty, can't I see? Surely there is a pang in your heart to share a bit of bread for someone like me?" He begged, lingering at her side, his big bushy black coat shining under the moonlight.

"No! Mother said to stay on the path and not talk to strangers!" She shouted, running away, the basket handle wrapped tight in her knuckles. The wolf sauntered after her, his stomach protesting in hunger.

After a while, he trailed away from the red hooded girl, a small cozy house now standing in the middle of the woods in front of him. He looked around, his tail swaying behind him, his nose flaring for any scent.

The wolf sauntered into the house, eying his surroundings. It was silent. Nobody was home. He smelled the familiar scent of baked goods and smirked, crawling under the empty bed that was filled with quilts and pillows.

He wriggled into a bonnet and the clothing of an old lady, spectacles now wresting on the tip of his muzzle.

He wanted those baked goods, and that's what he was going to get.

He heard the red hooded girl from a mile away, she was whistling loudly and it echoed in the trees. He anticipated every whistle, his skin crawling as it got closer.

"Grandmother!?" He heard the girl call as she entered the house.

"Grandmother!" She gasped once she caught sight of the wolf in disguise. "What big ears you have!" She exclaimed, scampering to the side of the bed to take the wolfs Paw, gasping once more, "-And such Harry arms you have!"

"The better to hear and feel you with, my dear," The wolf said in a shrilly voice, imitating an old lady with the best of his abilities.

"What big eyes you have! And nose!" She exclaimed, taking a small step back.

"The better to see and smell you with, my dear!" The wolf barked in the same shrilly accent, grinning from ear to ear to seem friendlier.

The red hooded girl shrieked, jumping back. "What big teeth you have!" She screeched with fright.

"The better to eat your goodies with, my dear!!" The wolf howled, leaping out of the bed and attacking the basket in her hand, gobbling up all of the baked goods with delight, his tail swaying happily behind him.

"Where's my grandmother!?" The girl hollered, large thick tears staining her cheeks.

The wolf cackled, his stomach now full. "How would I know!?" He barked and galloped away, back into the forest.

I did this as a project for English class xD it's little red riding hood but having to write it in another characters point of view. I mean here it is, but it's sort of sucky and choppy because it couldn't be that long xD
