Chapter 55

I woke up to my scar burning, and the clock said it was only midnight. I sighed and walked downstairs, not feeling tired at all. I sat on the couch and stared into the fire for a while before realizing I wasn't alone.

"You couldn't sleep either?" Ariana asked, sitting next to me.

"No, and I'm not sure why," I sighed.

 "I feel guilty," she admitted.

 "For what?" I asked.

"The way I acted towards you...and what I've done," she whispered.

"Oh she does have a heart," I sighed.

"I just wanted to impress you I suppose. I wanted to fit in," she frowned.

"Impress me?" I raised one eyebrow.

"Yes; all of a sudden there's a new girl in town and she's the shit. I only wanted to impress the 'it' girl. Things got way too out of hand," she shook her head.

"What's your story anyway?" I asked. She bit her lip and sighed, tucking her legs underneath her.

"Well, in all honesty, Dumbledore isn't my biological father. We are related though, and he's now my official guardian...but he had a sister. His sister is my grandmother. Mum left and grandma died when she was quite young. Uncle Albus adopted me and he's like my father since he's been basically my mum and dad since I was about one. I came to Hogwarts and we decided I would go under the name Clarissa Moon because dad didn't want to make it seem unfair. I mean, as the headmasters daughter, wouldn't you think I'd get away with things? So being the naïve first year I was, I agreed. Then little Leah Loveland came along. Father asked me to be his spy; get to know what you were about. He said I was supposed to love Gryffindor, so I became friends with the trio. I hated it there, and to take out my anger, I turned to you. I was also never interested in Draco, by the way. Father thinks that I'm supposed to be just like a Dumbledore, but in reality, I have my dark side. I just want to start over," she groaned.

"You're almost in as deep as I am...actually that's a lie. You don't even compare to me," I teased.

"I can't even imagine... I don't expect you to trust me with your story. It's probably some death eater secret," she held her hands up.

"Well, I can tell you part of my story that wouldn't involve any of that. I was born as Leah Mariela Loveland and Clementine and Lamoure Loveland were my parents. Claire Loveland was my sister and I didn't quite fit in. I was always a believer in the Dark Lord, and one day, death eaters showed up. They killed my parents and took me to meet my father, which is when I found out everything. Then, I started hanging around the Malfoy's. Draco and I hit it off...and then I met Pansy. Around Christmas I found out who my mother was and that Pansy was my half-sister. Now I'm a death eater, and that's really all I can tell you," I shrugged.

"Interesting... I like it," she said thoughtfully.

"My full name is Ariana Kendra Dumbledore by the way. I figured I'd tell you my full name since you told me yours," she smirked.

 "I like it," I mused.

"Hey, wanna go get some ice cream?" I asked.

"Um, it's after hours...how are we going to get out?" she asked.

"I'm a prefect and a Riddle; I do what I please. It can be our toast to change," I winked.

We walked out of the common room and through the halls. We started walking up the stairs when I heard the shuffling of feet.

"Miss Riddle...Miss Dumbledore?" Dumbledore asked and I cringed.

 "Hello professor," I said brightly.

"What are you two doing?" he asked.

"Getting ice cream," I said innocently.

"Come on, it's Riddle and Dumbledore, how much more fun can this get?" Ariana asked and we both flashed our best smirks. Mine was better obviously...but whatever.

"Are you two...friends?" he asked in shock.

 "Yes," I said.

"Are you sure your memories are back?" he asked.

 "Positive," I winked.

"Does Mister Malfoy know?" he asked, sounding dumbfounded.

 "Yes," I smirked.

"Well, we must be off," Ariana said, pulling me along. We walked into the kitchen after tickling the pear in the picture and I snapped my fingers.

"Elves! Ice cream, now!" I snapped, and two bowls were instantly brought to us.

"Return to working," I said dismissively and Ariana laughed.

"You are a terrible person," she snickered. I took a spoonful of ice cream and we walked back into the common room.

"So... I don't mean to get personal... but how close are you and Draco?" she asked. I glared over at her with red eyes and she stepped back.

"Whoa, I wasn't moving in on him; I was only wondering!" she said, holding up her hands in a form of surrender...as best she could while holding a bowl and spoon.

"Sorry," I mumbled grumpily, blinking so my eyes were green again.

"We're very, very close," I said firmly.

"I have a boy back home," she sighed.

 "Who?" I asked.

"Well his name is Riley; never told me his last name though. I haven't heard from him for a while," she frowned. I looked at her and forced a smile.

"What'd he look like?" I asked.

"A bit older, chocolate brown hair, green eyes...he was a catch. He was always worried though; sort of paranoid. I was trying to help him out, you know?" she asked.

"Right...tell me, was he a wizard?" I asked.

"Yes, he was. He was a supporter of the Dark Lord as well," she nodded and I felt my stomach clench as my eyes flared red. Riley was right under my nose and Ariana was the key to finding him. Unbelievable rage flooded through me and my ice cream bowl shattered, sending ice cream running down my hand. The fire in the fireplace burst to a new high and the lights around the room blew out.

"Leah," Ariana gasped, stepping back. My hair turned blood red and the tips started flaming; only I wasn't getting burned. I grew red hot and I heard feet moving upstairs as the fire roared louder and a breeze whipped around the room. People started running downstairs, and I heard gasps.

"Leah!" Draco yelled. I felt my palms growing white hot and next thing I knew, there were flames hovering in my palms. I heard voices yelling but I was in a rage at the moment. I needed to kill; to hurt; to maim. I heard glass shattering and people screaming, and the next thing I knew, water was poured over my freaking head. I turned to the person and set them on fire; my own fiery rage not going out.

"Leah!" someone yelled in fear but I only clenched my jaw. The thing that happened next was impossible; not only was it impossible, but I cannot explain it. I disapparated to the Malfoy Manor...on Hogwarts grounds.

"Father!" I screamed, the fire in my palms going out as I clenched my fists.

"Father, come here NOW!" I screamed and I heard several people running upstairs.

"IF SOMEONE DOESN'T GET HERE RIGHT NOW I'M HURTING SOMEONE!"I screamed through the manor, and Lucius sprinted downstairs.

 "Oh my God!" he blurted.

"Where is my father?" I asked slowly.

"My Lord!" Lucius yelled and he came storming downstairs.

"What- oh my God!" he said, looking at me.

 "I'm in a rage!" I yelled.

"What happened?" father asked, keeping his distance.

"Ariana knew where Riley was the whole time! She didn't know anything about his identity, but if I had only befriended her a month ago...Ah!" I yelled angrily.

"You need to calm down," father said carefully.

"Calm down?" I yelled, my palms gathering flames again.

"Leah, you're going to do something you regret," father said slowly. I gave him an intense and malicious glare, to which he looked fearful. I saw a house elf run by and I snapped my fingers, setting it on fire.

"Someone needs to die tonight!" I screamed, meeting eyes with all of the death eaters that had gathered around. The house elf was screaming and burning, but not dying.

"Avada Kedavra!" I screamed, and it fell limp, the flames disappearing.

"You!" I pointed to a death eater who I did not know.

 "Yes, m-my lady?" he stuttered.

"Are you new?" I asked, walking towards him.

 "Y-yes," he nodded.

"How about a little one on one?" I asked wickedly, throwing him into the middle of the circle that the death eaters formed. Something's broke inside of me. I don't know what it was, but I'm just plain scary. I like it.

"Get up!" I snapped and he shot to his feet.

 "Leah," father warned.

"Wands away," I said with an evil glint in my eyes; added to the already evil vibe they gave off. He threw his wand to the side and visibly shook.

"You aren't even a worthy component, but that's okay, I need a punching bag," I sneered. I walked over and clenched my fists which made the flames go out. I grabbed him by the shoulders and drove my knee right into his stomach. He doubled over and I elbowed him in the back, causing him to fall to the floor. I brought my foot up and slammed it down onto his face, making him spit blood, and then I backed away.

"Are you going to fight back or do I need to kill you?" I asked dangerously. He shakily got to his feet and I brought my fist back, punching him in the face. I spun around and did a round house kick to his ribs and then in one fluid motion brought my elbow back to collide with his jaw. I then took his arm and flipped him so that he landed flat on his back. With my grip still on his arm, I twisted it sharply and heard a loud crack, which was drown out by his screams. I bent down and grabbed him by his throat, bringing him face to face with me.

"I guess I'll have to kill you," I smirked, my lips just grazing his. He cried and I gave him a sugary sweet smile before letting the flame hover in my palm again. Setting fire to his neck was the most gruesome part. I didn't care. As he screamed and his flesh burnt away, I pulled him up as high as possible, and then with as much force as I could muster, I slammed his head down onto the floor. A loud crack filled the room and he stopped screaming; there was no movement and there was no sound. I released his neck and laughed darkly.

"He should have fought," I said with narrowed eyes.

"Who's next?" I asked, looking at everyone and they all looked ready to pee themselves.

"Leah, stop," Draco said softly, stepping forward.

"Oh why, Draco? You don't want me to have a little fun?" I pouted sarcastically, walking around him in a circle.

"You can fight me if you want," I whispered right next to his ear.

 "Leah," Draco said firmly.

"Is that a no?" I faked sadness.

"You need to stop. I don't know what happened, but...well... I don't want anything to happen to you," he said carefully.

I laughed wickedly and put my hands on my hips.

"Meaning what, Draco darling?" I laughed with a smug smirk.

"They were talking about sending you to St. Mungo's... to the ward where people go when their brains are addled by magic. They see you as a threat. Dumbledore just thinks you've completely been turned to the dark side... but Umbridge want's you in a loony bin, or worse; she's fighting to send you to Azkaban."

"Oh, well we cannot have that," I smirked.

"Why are you acting like this?" he asked.

"Because, Draco, it's in my nature. I'm more Riddle than you think," I said, referring to my scar which he doesn't completely know about.

"Ariana set something off inside me; she knew exactly where Riley was. I don't blame her... it really isn't her fault. However, I don't plan on being so soft anymore," I said with a glare.

"You weren't soft in the first place," he almost pleaded.

"Oh but I was. There's always a spot for you in my life, there's no doubt about it, but you see, I like the kill. It's thrilling, enticing, and it makes one powerful. I haven't killed anyone in so long," I pouted, walking back up to him and taking his hands.

"I don't want you to go to Azkaban; you know Umbridge will get her way!" he protested.

"You're fighting a losing battle," I said darkly and walked away.

"Now, death eaters...father... I'm done killing for the night, but you know, you should all prepare yourselves. If I don't get to fight or duel at least once a day, someone will die. One by one, day by day. Think about that," I glared, and took Draco's hand, pulling him to the fireplace. Time to go back to Hogwarts...or seeing as I'm some sort of wanted criminal, it's time to sneak back to Hogwarts.
