Chapter 53+54

"Get her ice," Montague said, carrying me over to the stands so we could sit.

"Put me down, I'm fine!" I scowled.

"No you are not," Montague glared.

"Wait, Leah, you remember?" Draco called, running up.

"Draco shut up," Montague said, coming out onto the top of the stands and setting me down on a bench. Draco kneeled in front of me and looked me in the eyes.

"You remember?" he asked and the team gave us odd looks.

"Yes," I smiled and he smiled as well.

"Leah that's absolutely amazing!" he laughed.

"Alright everyone down to the pitch and start your pushups. Miles, go get ice from Pomfrey and Draco you stay here with Leah. Oh, and boys, don't think I won't be watching you do your pushups," Montague warned and they all left.

"I remember everything up to getting hit in the head!" I laughed.

"That's great!" he said, taking my face in his hands and kissing me.

 "I miss that," I smiled.

"It's not like I didn't kiss you before," he laughed.

"I know but it was so different," I complained.

"What's going on?" Montague asked, sitting across from me.

"She had amnesia when she woke up. After Goyle hit her in the head, her memory came back," Draco explained.

"Finally!" I smiled and Draco laughed.

 "Are you happy?" he teased.

"I'm ecstatic!" I laughed. I thought back to what Dumbledore said when I had amnesia... I think I made the right choice now that I know everything I should about these people. If only people knew what I'd be sacrificing.

"You need to calm down, you could have a concussion," Montague reminded me.

"I just got my memories back, I have a reason to be excited," I raised my eyebrows. Montague shrugged and turned his attention to the other boys.

"Oh and about you saying you loved Pansy," I said, looking at Draco with my hands on my hips.

"That was before I met you, love. We broke up about a week after that conversation," he said, taking my hands.

"You know who I do love, though?" he asked and I pretended to think.

 "Who?" I asked.

"You," he smiled, kissing me lightly.

"I love you, too," I smiled, snuggling into his arms.

"Save it for later," Montague made a face at us.

"Shut up," I muttered, my face in the crook of Draco's neck. Yeah my head was wet from that water bottle and he was kind of sweaty, but oh freaking well.

"I got the ice," Miles said, walking up with Pomfrey.

"Let me see, dear," she said, taking me away from Draco. She gently prodded the back of my head and then seemed satisfied.

"It isn't even tender; you seem fine," she said.

"I got my memory back," I smiled and she clasped her hands together.

"Oh that's great! Congratulations," she smiled warmly.

"However, you should stop Quidditch for today, Mister Montague. Let the team have a break," she smiled.

"Yes ma'am," he nodded and we made our way down to the ground. I took the ice Pomfrey was shoving at me and held it to my head as we walked up to the castle and Draco held my free hand.

"I want to see father about this," I smiled.

"You know you've got to tell Pansy first," he laughed and I groaned.

"I don't feel like it," I complained, but he brought me to the common room anyway.

"Blaise, Sapphire, Pansy, Damon, and Ariana, get over here," Draco called, and we all sat down in our little corner.

"Why do you need me?" Ariana asked.

"Because it involves you, too; we might not be the greatest of friends, but we're at a truce," I said and she regarded me carefully.

 "What's up?" Damon frowned.

"Well... hm I don't think I wanna tell you anymore," I sighed.

"Leah, what is it?" Sapphire narrowed her eyes.

"You might not like it..." I bit my lip.

 "What happened?" Blaise asked.

"If you don't tell us I'll hex you," Pansy glared.

"Jesus, okay! I got my memories back!" I said happily and they all screamed with happiness.

"Oh my God you are joking!" Pansy yelled, hugging me.

"She's lying!" Sapphire said with a smile.

"Nope, that's definitely the old Leah," Damon observed.

"This is amazing, absolutely amazing!" Ariana said in awe.

"It's all Goyle's fault," Draco said.

 "Why?" Pansy asked.

"He threw a Bludger at her head," he scowled. They all glared over at Goyle who was just walking in and I laughed.

"Hey, it's alright! However, I want to go see father," I said, getting up and walking to Severus's office.

"Hello Severus!" I chirped, strolling in.

"What?" he asked, stirring a potion.

"Guess what?" I sighed, sitting on his desk and looking over the potion quickly.

"No, use the snake fangs instead," I said, stopping him from putting in the mint leaves.

"You're right," he narrowed his eyes.

"Now what do you want?" he asked.

"I got my memories back," I said, laying back on the desk.

"You- what are you doing?" he asked, looking down at me.

 "Lying down," I shrugged.

"You got your memories back?" he asked, returning to the potion. He put a lid over the cauldron and let the potion simmer for a moment.

"I did!" I smiled and he actually smiled at me.

"That's great; go see your father now," he said, and I rolled off the desk and over to the fireplace.

"Malfoy Manor!" I said, and for the first time in days, I landed correctly on my feet.

"Oh hello...Leah, right? I'm Celeste," she smiled as I walked out of the fireplace. I kept up my memory loss charade and smiled at her.

 "Hi Celeste," I said.

"You consider me as your mother; you know, treat me with respect and do what I say. That sort of thing," she laughed and I laughed as well.

"Yeah, of course!" I said, walking over to her.

"Well, how about a hug?" I asked and she opened her arms. I stepped into her embrace and then swept my leg under hers, flipping her over my hip. She landed on the floor with a thud and cried out.

"Greengrass, right? Well, guess what? My memories are back, bitch," I glared and walked upstairs.

"What are you doing down there?" father asked, storming out of Lucius's study with glowing red eyes.

"Oh, hello Leah," he said, stopping and letting his eyes simmer down.

 "Father," I smiled.

"What did you do?" he sighed, walking back into the study with me close behind.

"I flipped Celeste," I smiled mischievously.

"You're terrible; like father like daughter," he said.

"When are you getting rid of her?" I complained.

"I don't know, soon," he shrugged.

 "I hate her," I glared.

"You just met her," father scowled.

"Actually, I met her a while ago," I pointed out.

"Watching memories in a pensive doesn't count," he rolled his eyes.

"True...but I got my memories back," I smiled and he looked at me.

 "Perfect," he said, hugging me.

 "Perfect?" I asked.

"I need you to be my slave," he smirked.

"Oh ha-ha," I snorted. He chuckled and sat down, folding his hands.

"We are on a very important mission that could change the outcome of this war. You see, there is a place in the Ministry of Magic called the Department of Mysteries, which holds prophecy upon prophecy. The Order is under the impression that I am after a weapon held in the Ministry, and in a way I am. You are my weapon, Leah, but you see, there is something else I need to possess. Do you know what that is?" he asked.

 "What?"

"That would be the prophecies; yours and Potter's. You see dear, without the two prophecies we may never know the key to our success. So, I sent my death eaters to patrol the Ministry, but you see, the Order started patrolling as well, only their patrol is better than ours; for now. We plan on breaking into the Ministry and getting those prophecies one way or another. That could possibly mean that you need to get an internship there. Whether it's for a person higher up in office, or the lowest person that works there; the point is, we may need you to infiltrate the Ministry, and you will do it," he said.

"I have never worked a day in my life!" I protested.

"I know, but you're just so charming," father smirked.

"However, we are working on ways to get out of using you because let's face it, if someone looks at you oddly you hex them. We cannot have that if we want to keep you posted in the Ministry. There's also the issue of your name; everyone knows you are a Riddle. We all know that some of the smarter individuals working there would highly protest your employment," father frowned.

"People think Lucius is a death eater, but he still works there," I pointed out.

"That is true, but darling, he is not related to me," father retorted.

"Well what if we send in a reliable wizard that is under my control?" I asked.

"It might work...yet it might not. We'll figure it out though. Leah, we need to talk about something else, however," father said, growing even more serious than before.

"What's wrong?" I asked, crossing my legs.

"You and Draco are growing quite serious," he frowned.

 "Oh God," I muttered.

"Listen to me; the night you got hit, you felt as if someone was watching you, correct?" he asked and I frowned.

 "Um...yes," I nodded.

"Well...it was me," he grimaced. Oh my Jesus... no that is not good.

 "Oh God," I said, horrified.

"Yes... well I did not appreciate it at all. I'm positive that there was never a time in my life that I ever wanted to kiss Draco. I was part of you; I could see, feel, and hear everything you did," he said.

"Oh God, dad, no; that's terrible!" I groaned.

"So again, you and Draco are getting serious," he said firmly.

"You came in during that kiss didn't you?" I cried, putting my hands over my face.

"Unfortunately," he said sourly. That's so damn embarrassing!

 "I'm gonna die," I moaned.

"Leah... since your mother is not here I think I should be the one to say this... actually...you know what... Bellatrix!" he yelled.

 "Why?" I groaned.

"I'm not giving you the sex talk, she is," he said and I heard footsteps.

 "Yes, my Lord?" she bowed.

"I need you to give her the, um, talk," he said awkwardly and then swept out of the room.

"Leah, it's so good to see you!" Bella said, kissing my cheek.

"Right... my memories are back!" I forced a smile.

"That's brilliant...but I'm here for a reason. Your father asked me to give you the sex talk, and I don't know why he did, but I said I would. So, seeing as you and young Draco are pretty serious, I would assume it could only lead to one thing. There are of course spells to keep you from getting pregnant, but that's not the point. The point is, that you are too young. Seeing as Draco is a teenage boy..." Bellatrix said, but was cut off by a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said quickly, standing up.

"Hi... my father sent me up here," Draco said, walking in with a relaxed smile.

"Oh Jesus!" I cried, trying to push him out of the door.

"Sit!" Bella said, pulling me down.

"Draco, you too," she said. My hair turned light pink and I looked in the mirror to see my eyes the same color.

"She's like a mood ring... pink is embarrassed right?" Draco asked. Bella just started laughing and I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks.

"We're getting the sex talk," I mumbled, covering my face again. Draco grew silent and Bella laughed even harder.

"Alright, well since Draco is a teenage boy, his hormones are way out there, and since Leah likes getting her slut on, it won't be long before you two decide you wanna do the deed," she said wickedly.

 "Aunt Bella," Draco groaned.

"However, it's not a smart choice. Getting it on will only cause problems and it's unneeded. Oh, and Leah, your father said strong emotions trigger it," Bella frowned and I looked up finally. He doesn't mean trigger hormones; he means trigger the whole mind thing. Damn, if I ever want to do anything with Draco, he'll freaking know!

"What's that mean?" she asked, seeing my expression.

 "I don't know," I lied.

"Hm... well I think that's about it," she mused.

"Okay well then let's go!" I said quickly, pulling Draco to his feet.

"Wait," father said, walking back in. I groaned and Draco slowly sat back down.

"You need to stop drinking," he said, narrowing his eyes at me.

 "Why?" I whined.

 "Look what happened!" he snapped.

"Well it doesn't happen all the time," I snorted.

"No more drinking; I'll know," he glared, and I took that as permission to leave. I walked out, my pink hair turning red and then I turned to Draco.

"I am so sorry," I said.

"Why did we get that talk?" he asked.

"You do not want to know," I rolled my eyes, and we went back to Hogwarts.

Chapter Fifty Four

"What?" I asked, walking into the Room of Requirement. I couldn't be long; I had my first Slytherin class tonight.

"We found a way to contact each other about meeting dates and times," Granger said.

"Well, we didn't; Hermione did," Weasley corrected.

"We need you to charm these," Granger said, holding out a basket of galleons.

"Jesus, what'd you do, rob Gringotts?" I joked.

 "They aren't real," Granger smiled.

"I see... what charm do you need me to do?" I asked.

 "Protean charm," she said.

 "Really...hm why?" I asked.

"Well you'll see," she sighed as others started walking in. I waved my hand and set the charm, nodding in satisfaction. Once everyone was seated, Granger started explaining.

"You see the numerals around the edges of the coins? On real galleons that's just a serial number referring to the goblin who cast the coin. On these fake coins, though, the numbers will change to reflect the time and date of our next meeting. The coins will grow hot when the date changes, so if you're carrying them in a pocket you'll be able to feel them. We take one each, and when Harry sets the date of the next meeting he'll change the numbers on his coin, and because Leah's put a Protean charm on them, they'll all change to mimic his," she said. No one said anything and I almost laughed, but contained myself.

"Well...I thought it was a good idea. I mean, even if Umbridge asked us to turn out our pockets, there's nothing fishy about carrying a galleon, is there? But... well...If you don't want to use them," she sighed, sounding defeated. I smirked and crossed my arms.

"You can do a Protean charm?" Terry Boot asked, looking at me.

 "Yeah," I raised one eyebrow.

"That's N.E.W.T. standard," he said, wide eyed.

 "I know," I said smugly.

"How come you aren't in Ravenclaw, with brains like yours?" he asked.

"I'm wicked smart. Hence the word wicked," I winked.

"She's also a terrible person," Lavender said lazily.

"Proud of it, princess," I sneered.

"Does that mean we're using the galleons?" Granger asked before Lavender retorted. We nodded and all grabbed a coin from the basket.

"You know what these remind me of?" Potter asked.

 "What?" Granger asked.

"Death Eaters scars. Voldemort touches one of them, and all their scars burn, and they know they've got to join him," he said and my mark started to itch as he spoke.

"They aren't scars," I rolled my eyes. Everyone looked back at me and their eyes were drawn to my bare arm.

 "Yes they are," he argued.

"They're tattoos. Marks... curses," I said.

"Are we positive that she's a forced death eater?" Lavender said uneasily.

"Well...that is where I got the idea," Granger said, once again cutting off our banter.

"You'll notice I decided to engrave the date on bits of metal rather than our members skin," she said, and again all eyes were drawn to me.

"You know, it's not contagious," I teased, stroking it. Hydra slithered down from my neck and curled around my wrist, making them all cringe. I stood up and blew a kiss at everyone.

"I must be off; school work calls," I winked, and left the room with a wake of silence behind me.

***

"Let's go," I said, walking past Draco and Pansy who were hanging out by the Great Hall. They got up to follow me and we slipped outside unnoticed.

"Are you sure you want to go back to the Whomping Willow already?" Draco asked.

"I'm sober, so yes," I nodded, running through the dark school grounds. I made my hair black and pulled my black hoodie over my head so it cast a shadow over my face.

"I still don't see why we're all wearing black," Pansy groaned.

"So it's harder to be seen," I hissed, glancing back at the castle.

"Draco put your damn hood up! Your hair is brighter than the moonlight," I growled and he did as I said. My black jeans blended right into my all black converse, and we finally reached the Whomping Willow. I shot a spell at the knot at the base of the tree, and it stopped moving. We slipped into the opening and walked up the rickety stairs to the secret room.

"Let's go over the list really quickly and then engrave their names on the journals," I said, pulling out the box of enchanted journals we'd be using to contact each other.

"Miles Bletchley, Terrence Higgs, Urquhart, Vaisey, Bole, Derrick, Montague, Adrian Pucey, Millicent Bulstrode, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Tracey Davis, Daphne Greengrass, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Leah Riddle, Theodore Nott, Ryan Nott, Blaise Zabini, Harper, Astoria Greengrass, Malcolm Baddock, Graham Pritchard, Leon Yaxley, Amortentia Black, Demelza Robins, and Ritchie Coote," I listed.  As I read off the names, I waved my wand so the names were engraved in gold on the covers. I took mine and cast the Protean charm on it, and then on the others to make sure theirs changed when mine did.

"We need to make sure everything is spell proof," Draco said. I cast a spell around the room to make everything unbreakable and then cast another spell to make it rubbery. Pansy punched the wall as hard as she could and it just bounced back.

"Interesting... so if someone gets thrown into the wall they'll just bounce back unharmed," she said in approval.

"Like this," I said, spinning around, catching Ariana off guard and kicking her right into the wall.

"What do you think you're doing here?" I asked. She had been trying to sneak around, but I heard her. She flew right off the wall and landed in a heap by my feet.

 "Ouch," she whined.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I want to be a part of your group; I followed you here and I kinda caught on to what you were doing," she admitted.

 "No," I said coolly.

"Please; I owe you my life and I want to be able to help you if you ever need it," she said and I glared at her.

"Fine; swear it," I ordered, holding out my hand. She looked up at me with wide eyes but stood up and hesitantly held her hand out.

"Do you solemnly swear to keep the secret of our group?" I asked and she gulped.

"I solemnly swear I will keep the secret of the group," she said, and I waved my hand so a gold chain linked our hands together before it faded away.

"Now sign this parchment," I said, tossing it at her. She took it and signed it quickly, handing it back to me.

"What else do we need to charm?" I asked.

"Are the mirrors breakable?" Pansy asked and I looked over at the floor length mirrors around the room.

"Let's find out," I said, walking over to one.

"Hey Ariana, let's use your face to see if this'll break," I joked.

"Ha-ha," she rolled her eyes. I drew my hand back and punched the mirror with as much force as I could. It shattered, sending glass into my hand and I yelped out in pain.

"Ouch, yeah they can break," I winced, looking at my bloody hand.

"Why would you do that?" Draco asked, taking my hand gently and helping me pull out glass.

"To see if it would break," I said with a slight laugh. My hand throbbed and I felt like I was being watched again. I narrowed my eyes and clenched my jaw; please don't tell me father is in my mind again. Draco remained oblivious, that nub, and just smiled.

"You could've just thrown your shoe at it or something," he shook his head.

"I could never hurt my shoe; I love my shoes," I protested.

"You're so stupid," he teased and then leaned in to kiss my forehead. I pulled back subtly with a smile and stepped away.

"Aren't I?" I laughed nonchalantly and he looked hurt for a quick second. I ripped a piece of cloth off an old curtain and brushed off the dust. I dabbed off the blood and then fixed my hand with magic.

"Well they should be here soon," I said and then muttered, "get out of my head!" to my father. I could tell it was him; I just knew it.

"I hear people," Pansy said and I listened carefully; yeah they were on their way.

"This place is creepy," Blaise said, walking down with Daphne, Crabbe, and Goyle.

"Hush," I smirked. I casually ran my hand through my hair, but shot an extra occulemency wall in place with wandless magic. I felt the feeling go away and I knew that I got rid of father. Thank God!

"Take your journal; they have your names on them," I said, pointing to the box. More people started filling in and I was glad the room was actually pretty big. There were several rooms to choose from and of course I chose the biggest, duh. Once everyone was standing in a semi-circle in front of me, I grabbed their attention.

"Hey, listen up! We all know that we are here because a war is brewing. This war is between good and evil," I rolled my eyes.

"We are what is considered evil, am I right?" I asked and the room cheered.

"Well, if we're on the evil side, why not learn the wicked spells?" I asked with a smirk.

"Seeing as I am the one and only Leah Riddle, I happen to know what the 'good' side will be using for their spells. Obviously they are only focused on defensive spells, so we are focusing on offensive," I said and Amortentia raised her hand.

"Will we be learning defensive spells just in case?" she asked.

 "Yes," I nodded.

"I will also be bringing in spell books with dark arts spells in them; that way you guys can check them out and request spells you want to learn. I cannot teach you anything and everything however; there is a limit as to what I am willing to teach," I said firmly.

"Will we be learning unforgivable curses?" Daphne asked.

"We'll be learning two of three; Crucio and Avada Kedavra. We will not be using people though, so don't worry. I'll get some animals from somewhere; possibly frogs or spiders," I shrugged.

 "So what's first?" Astoria asked.

"First, we're doing wand positioning," I said and they all glanced around in disappointment.

"Montague, step forward," I smirked and he looked scared.

"Get in your dueling stance," I said. He pointed his wand at me and I sighed.

"No... that's wrong. Look at my stance," I said, pulling out my wand. I held my left arm straight out and put my right arm above my head with my wand pointed straight at Montague.

"This gives you much more accuracy and speed," I said.

"If I wanted to disarm him, and I hand my wand just straight out, I'd have to aim, and I would have to use only my wrist to control the spell. If my arm is up here, then I can just lash out and use my whole arm to control the spell. Watch and learn," I smiled.

"Expelliarmus!" I said and his wand flew right out of his hand.

"Now, it had the same effect, but in a duel, you do not have time to reposition and every second counts. So Montague, hold your arm straight out again... oh my God, get your wand," I said exasperatedly. He quickly picked it up and held it straight out. I got back into my stance and smirked at him.

"Now, on the count of three, we'll say Expelliarmus together and see who's faster," I said.

"One... two... three, Expelliarmus!" we said together, but mine was much faster. As for Montague's, his actually missed.

"See, his missed because of less accuracy; it's much easier if your wand is positioned above your head," I said.

"Pair up and try it out, and then we'll move onto a different spell. I'll go around to check your positioning and you can experiment with different ones; you don't have to use mine," I said, and they got to it. I had noticed during the DA meeting that the others had their wands straight out, which is an advantage for our side. I looked around and saw everyone getting in their stances, which pleased me, but I did see Ariana looking around nervously...alone.

"Ariana...why?" I asked, rubbing my temples.

"There's an odd amount, not including you," she said.

"Fine, you and me, let's go," I said. She took an interesting stance which made me highly curious. Her one arm was behind her back, and her wand was brought up to the side of her head, just a little in front of her eyes.

"Interesting stance... very nice," I nodded.

"Thank you," she said and I nodded once.

"One... two... three..." I said, and I used a silent spell. Our spells bounced off each other and shot back at us, so my spell hit me and her spell hit her. We both flew back into the wall and then bounced off, back onto the floor. I sat on the floor and blinked a few times, rubbing my stomach where I was hit with the spell. We looked up at each other and met eyes... and then we were laughing. We laughed so hard that I had tears running down my face, as did she. Everyone was undoubtedly watching us, but I was too busy clutching my stomach with laughter. Ariana managed to roll to her feet and she walked over, helping me up. I calmed down long enough to stand up and look at her again...which was not a good idea because we both ended up laughing again. I took a deep breath and we finally looked at each other with composure.

"That was unexpected," I smiled and she laughed a little.

 "You think?" she asked.

 "Leah...are you okay?" Draco asked.

"Oh, I'm fine," I giggled, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear and out of my eyes.

"This is too weird for me," I scrunched my nose, looking at her.

"Eh, you don't have to trust me, but let's start over," she offered. I looked at her and thought it over. She's right, I don't have to trust her, but if I get close to her, then I should know her every move.

"Alright," I nodded, and we fist bumped.

 "Cool," she smirked.

"Okay, let's not try that again," I smiled, "and let's walk around."

"Sounds like a plan," she nodded.

"Pansy and Blaise, look at you two," I smirked, walking up.

"I have a better stance, naturally," she teased and Blaise rolled his eyes.

 "I'm experimenting," he snorted.

"Sure you are," Pansy and I said together with a laugh.

"So...you and Ariana seemed like you were having fun," Pansy said, looking slightly jealous.

"Well...we've come to a truce," I said and we looked at each other.

"I think of it as an acquaintanceship," she said thoughtfully.

"I have to agree," I nodded.

"That's interesting," Pansy shrugged. She does know I still love her more, right?

"Alright, well your stances were great, keep it up," I said, and continued walking around.

"I think it'll take some adjusting for Pansy, Blaise, and Draco," Ariana said and I frowned at her for a moment.

"Oh, you mean us being...kinda sorta friends?" I asked.

 "Exactly," she nodded.

"You're right, but they will adjust," I shrugged.

"Draco," I cooed. He shot his last spell and knocked Vasiy's wand out of his hand before turning around.

"Hello, love," he said, kissing my forehead and then glancing at Ariana.

"Draco, Ariana and I have called a truce," I said firmly and he looked at me in shock for a moment before smiling.

"Welcome to our crew," he chuckled, holding out his hand. She hesitantly took it and smiled a little.

 "Thanks," she said.

"Oh, you're just so accepting," I pretended to gush over him.

"I know, I'm amazing," he said, straitening up with a smirk. I laughed and then narrowed my eyes.

"Get in stance again," I said and he did as he was told.

"Okay if you're going to use that position, tighten up your stomach so you're more balanced," I said smacking his abs, which were quite impressive.

 "Oh okay," he nodded.

"See the difference?" I asked, shoving him.

"Oh God, yeah," he laughed, standing his ground.

"Okay, and Vaisy, your wand hand should not be straight out," I said and he nodded, quickly changing stance. We continued this and I realized it was half past ten.

"Oh my God, okay, stop!" I said.

"We have to stop for tonight, but I'll write our next meeting down soon! Leave in groups of three or less," I said, and they started slipping out silently. Pretty soon it was just Draco, Pansy, Ariana, Blaise, and me.

"We can just go back as one group, but be quiet and stealthy!" I said and they nodded.  We snuck back up and into the common room with ease, going to bed like good little Slytherin's. Hah, what an oxymoron.
