Chapter 44
Voldemorts POV
Halloween is probably the stupidest holiday I can think of. Filthy little muggle children, running around begging for candy; it's pathetic. Of course, Leah has to have some part in Halloween; she's throwing a party. Why would you even want to do such a thing? I walked down the stairs and found several death eaters conversing in hushed tones.
"Yaxley, what is going on?" I asked calmly.
"Dolohov was caught breaking into the Ministry my Lord," he bowed and I grew angry.
"Did I not tell you to wait?" I snapped.
"I know my Lord, but the time seemed so perfect," Yaxley whimpered.
"See what you've done? The aurors must be onto us now," I hissed.
"M-my Lord...they've also started standing guard outside the door," Yaxley whispered and my anger exploded. I shot a Crucio curse at him and he fell to the ground screaming.
"This is what happens when you do not obey!" I yelled. I raised my wand and apparated to my room where an overwhelming feeling of pure bliss surrounded me. The next thing I knew...I was kissing Malfoy's boy. What the bloody hell? He pulled "me" closer by "my" waist and his hands were warm against the bare skin on my side. Why are my sides bare? I am not controlling this... why am I so small? What is going on?
"Get a room," someone yelled. That was disgusting, why in the world would someone do that? I am going to kill this boy.
"Malfoy you're dead," I threatened, but no words came out. Instead, I heard Leah talking.
"You git," she glared, throwing a pillow at him. Only, that was me as well. I glared over at Zabini and I threw the pillow.
"Undying love," Pansy winked, throwing a pillow at her. Leah (we) looked over at Pansy, studying her, and then her eyes moved to Blaise.
"Looking good," Leah teased. They moved down to some sort of part set up with Mudbloods and Blood Traitors alike. This is one of the most horrible experiences of my life. Potter was here, and I dearly wanted to rip this boy apart. He's lucky I can't do anything but watch.
"Great costume," Potter smiled, walking up. If only he knew...however, I did see him make a move to touch his scar.
"Thank you, and you are rather dashing as well," Leah laughed. I know I told her to become friends, but this is sickening.
"Oh thanks," he rolled his eyes.
"Well, have fun," Leah smiled and then walked over to young Draco.
"Hello love," she said as they started dancing. I do not want to continue kissing this boy, please do not do it again!!
"I have a feeling a teacher is going to crash the party," Draco laughed.
"Probably, but we should have fun before they tell us to tone it down," Leah smiled. What exactly does your type of fun entail, Leah? You are most definitely grounded. She was awfully touchy tonight, kissing him and hugging people, including these two blonde twins. This is not okay! Especially since that blonde boy, Damon, was borderline flirting.
It grew later and darker, but I still couldn't seem to leave her mind! I could feel that her occulemency walls were up, but I was still here. No matter what I tried, nothing would work, and I was beginning to grow frustrated. In what world is it necessary to be so...happy? Leah being happy meant I shared one too many kisses with this child. This is getting way out of hand. Not to mention I had to sing earlier, as well as dance. I don't do those things! I was, however, discreetly observing other students, picking out the weak. I could easily crush them during this war, and that much I was grateful for. The professors really let these kids do whatever they wanted, so I'm guessing that'll be how it is when I can finally attack; scared kids left alone to do what they please. Maybe, just maybe, this whole mind thing is a good burden.
I changed my mind after more kissing.

These stupid kids kiss way too much. I cannot leave though; something is keeping me inside her head. Maybe it's because emotions are running high, who knows? Maybe she locked me in with occulemency; it's a mystery to me. After much dancing and kissing, the younger kids left and the older kids snuck off. There's only a few spare kids left behind, and they seem indecisive. My question as to what they were doing was answered once Leah started talking about sneaking out to Hogsmead. Once they were there, things got a little messy between Draco and Leah, which was kind of good in my opinion.
I felt her anger and confusion wash over me, and I observed the students as they were being served Butterbeer. There's no unity; they all hate each other. In other words, they are weak. That's a brilliant advantage for my death eaters.
"Draco," Leah began but he shook his head. Oh great, she's going to make up with him already.
"No, you've been moody all day, it's fine," he said.
"But..." Leah started before he cut her off.
"There's something up with you. Are you really feeling alright?" he asked with a frown and she nodded.
"Yeah, but I still feel like I'm being watched," she sighed. Draco handed me a Butterbeer and smiled.
"Well let's forget everything for tonight!" Dear sweet Merlin.

These kids are complete idiots. Who goes and gets completely wasted, and then decides 'Hey. Let's run past the Whomping willow!'?
As it was Leah's turn, I felt an ominous feeling creep over me, and I knew it was Leah's emotion and not mine. She pulled herself up and poised herself in a position where she could sprint off when needed. It was possibly five minutes before she saw her chance to run, and finally the path was clear. She shot out and started running. Since I was watching from her eyes, I thought she saw the branch as well, but apparently not because she just slowed down. Hydra hissed loudly from around her neck, and I became fearful.
"Leah!" I screamed, which she seemed to hear, right before she was hit in the head, and I ended up back in my room.

I blinked a few times to make sure I was in my own dark room and not in Leah's unconscious mind. If I was stuck there, I'd have no way of leaving until she woke up. Thankfully, my question was answered when light streamed in from under my door, and there was a consistent pounding on the other side.
"Voldemort...Voldemort!" the woman was yelling. She pounded on the door again and I scowled.
"Tom!" she asked in frustration and I got up, yanking the door open.
"What do you want, Katie?" I snapped. She narrowed her eyes and me and crossed her arms.
"Are you alright?" she asked. I scoffed at her and ignored the question.
"Why are you here?" I sneered.
"I came to apologize," she said stiffly.
"Well Leah wouldn't be here, you dimwit," I glared. She pushed my shoulder and gave me a dangerous look.
"Do not get in my way when it comes to my daughter. Speaking of which, why did you just scream her name?" Katie asked. Oh, she just doesn't miss a thing, does she?
"You would know if you hadn't left your daughter in the dust. For all you know she could be dead," I lied. She looked at me with fear in her eyes.
"Please don't tell me she is," she begged. I looked at her coldly and nodded.
"She is; she committed suicide because her mother abandoned her, Pansy disowned her, and Draco broke up with her," I lied again. This wasn't something I should lie about, but Katie cannot expect to just walk back into Leah's life, let alone mine.
"No," she whispered.
"She died hating you," I said dully. Katie broke down sobbing, and fell to the ground. I looked down at her and then walked away, going off to find Bellatrix.
"My Lord, I've been looking for you!" Lucius called as I walked downstairs. I didn't really want to look at another Malfoy right now, but I guess I had to.
"Yes, Lucius?" I asked.
"Is everything alright, my Lord? You look worried," Lucius asked meekly.
"Leah's in trouble," I said stiffly, and then walked off to find Bellatrix once again.
"Bella," I snapped as I walked into the Dining Room, and she spun around.
"Yes my Lord?" she asked breathlessly and I walked over to her.
"I need you to do me a favor," I said.
"Of course, anything," she bowed.
"Reach Draco using occulemency and tell him to go find Leah," I said and she closed her eyes, focusing hard. It was several minutes before she opened her eyes apologetically.
"I can't reach him, he's drunk and passed out," she frowned.
"He passed out already? This is why she needs a better boyfriend!" I yelled angrily, shattering the windows. Leah obviously gets it from me.
"What's wrong, my Lord?" Bellatrix asked fearfully.
"Leah's dying, that's what's wrong!" I snapped.
"What do we do?" she asked wide eyed.
"We've got to wait," I grumbled angrily.
