Chapter 13
"What?" Draco and I yelled at the same time. Alex remained impassive.
"You knew!" I snarled at him, and Draco was radiating anger.
"No," he said .
"Liar," I hissed, narrowing my eyes.
"I absolutely refuse. How could you do this to me? " I asked my father, my voicing getting louder and louder.
"You're the one who broke up with the Malfoy boy. It was a smart move on my part because you are both very powerful, and you will respect my wishes," father said calmly.
"I will not go through with this!" I said lowly.
"Tom...don't do this to her," mum spoke up softly, putting a hand on my back.
"Stay out of this Katie," he said softly. How cute.
"Father, no," I whispered.
"I say she should be forced to marry Draco!" called out Blaise, and I knew this was going to cause trouble.
"Do you, young Zabini?" father asked in amusement. Blaise cleared his throat and nodded.
"Yes my Lord, I feel like they'd be much more powerful together," Blaise said.
"I second that!" Pansy called out and father scanned the crowd in annoyance.
"Silence," father hissed as the Death Eaters started murmuring.
"My mind is made up," father said, and then pulled me onto the platform where he shoved an engagement ring on my finger.
"Once you are seventeen, you will be known as Leah Crouch," he said coldly, and I bit back tears as I nodded, obeying my father.
"Good girl," father sighed, seeming relieved. I can't help it, I love my dad and if he wants something done... I'll do it, no matter what. Draco was looking at the floor and Pansy was clutching Blaise's hand, looking tearful.
"You may mingle," father allowed and I stepped off the platform into Draco's embrace.
"I'm so sorry," I sobbed, and he hugged me tightly.
"It's not your fault, we'll make the next few years last," he promised, stroking my hair.
"Watch it, that's my fiancée," Alex teased, but I turned around and punched him.
"I was willing to give you a chance just an hour ago, but now I want nothing to do with you. Leave me alone, and when I turn seventeen, I'm all yours. Go," I ordered, and he clutched his jaw before walking off briskly.
"No Leah, this ruins my wedding plans for you two!" Pansy cried, running up.
"You were planning our wedding?" I giggled despite the situation.
"Of course! It was gorgeous," she sighed and I shook my head.
"I'll find a way out of this," I said, though it was more like I was promising myself.
"I tried helping," Blaise sighed, walking up and I smiled at him sadly.
"I know, and thank you," I said.
"So, who wants to go get drunk?" I sighed.
"Me," they all said in unison, and we ran upstairs to get a little slice of sweet escape.

"No, put me down," I giggled as Draco picked me up.
"Why?" he laughed and Pansy was practically peeing herself laughing.
"You're gonna make me sick," I complained and Blaise started laughing too. Then, I was falling and I screamed, only to hit the bed two seconds later. I started laughing really hard and Pansy stumbled over to poke me.
"I think she died!" she cried, and then fell on the ground, much to Draco and Blaise's amusement.
"No Pansy," I said frantically, and then ended up falling off the bed.
"An elephant just landed on me!" Pansy complained, and I realized I fell on her.
"Sorry?" I winced and moved to sit on Draco.
"Leah, you weigh a ton" Draco groaned and I laughed.
"I am not that heavy!" I giggled and Draco laughed, too.
"Let's play truth or dare!" Blaise yelled and I jumped up and clapped excitedly.
"Yes!" I cried happily, chugging more Firewhiskey. Draco snatched it away and took a gulp for himself and then passed it to Blaise, who passed it to Pansy.
"What are you doing?" demanded father, who was now standing in the doorway. I laughed, and jumped on Draco's back, grabbing the Firewhiskey which he had again.
"We're gonna play truth or dare!" I cried excitedly and Draco flinched away.
"Don't scream in my ear," he frowned, and I stuck my tongue out.
"Dad," I whined, and he glared at me.
"You should not be acting this irresponsible!" he snapped and I cowered back.
"What?" I asked wide eyed.
"Drinking?" he asked angrily, and I frowned.
"It's my birthday," I protested.
"Bed, now," he ordered and I screamed in frustration.
"Fine, but you're ruining my life right now!" I yelled, storming out, but father grabbed my arm.
"This is your room," he sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Oh.... Well then, good night!" I yelled, and buried my face in my pillow.
"Zabini, Malfoy, out," father ordered and I groaned into my pillow. I looked up to see father rolling his eyes and smirking. Draco and Blaise managed to walk out and father stared at me.
"Hand it over," he said and I threw the bottle at his head. He caught it and glared.
"I am not giving you a potion for your hang over tomorrow," he said, and then left me and Pansy to pass out.
