HINDI mawala ang ngisi sa labi ni Castiel hanggang sa makauwi sia sa unit niya. He insisted that they'll sleep for tonight in his unit. Hindi naman sa nagrereklamo siya pero parang ganoon na nga, masyadong maliit ang kama ni Devi sa kanilang dalawa.

He can't believe that she says her family was chaotic, it was, but there's still fun in it.

"'Yung Tito mo?" Tanong niya at agad bumaling sa kanya si Devi, alanganin siyang ngumiti at umiling. Kakatapos lang nitong maligo at kasalukuyan na nagpupunas ng buhok.

He stood up and walk towards one of his guestroom, iniwan sa kwarto si Devi. Xyria doesn't like someone else touching her things, but it's him, her best friend. Wala naman itong magagawa. Kinuha niya ang blower na nakatago sa closet atsaka bumalik sa kwarto nilang dalawa ni Devi.

"Doon ka malapit sa headboard." Utos niya at agad naman sumunod si Devi.

He plugged it first and started to dry her hair. It was soft and she smells like him, nakakalimutan niyang bumili ng pambabae na shower gel, and Devi doesn't mind using his shower gel.

"You smell like me, I love it." He smirked and pushed her hair to the other side so he can kiss her nape and sniff her scents.

Umingos si Devi sa kanya. "It was different, Castiel. Mas matapang ang amoy sa'yo!" She's so cute while complaining about the comparison of their scent.

"So, inaamoy mo ako?" His brows shot up, he looked at her and smirk smugly, causing Devi to have a crimson red cheeks.

"H-hindi naman maiiwasan 'yon, Castiel. You're always beside me, we always cuddle, syempre maaamoy kita!" She scoffed and rolled her eyes, and Castiel founds it cute.

He finished drying her hair, tinanggal niya lang ang saksak ng blowdry at itinabi sa bed side table. Castiel watched her brush her hair using a big paddle of hair brush she bought when they're buying groceries, as he laid himself comfortably in his, now their bed.

"Come here, cuddle me and let's sleep." Parang bata niyang sabi kay Devi. She pouted her lips before crawling on the bed, and laid herself beside him.

Agad niyang pinaunan ang ulo ni Devi sa braso niya at pinagapang ang kamay sa baywang niya para mahapit ito papalapit sa kanya. He was humming a song while playing with her hair, it was a good old song that caught his attention and found himself getting addicted to it.

"You know, I'm glad you accidentally poured a hot coffee on me." Bahagyang natawa si Castiel nang maalala 'yon. Wala siyang choice noon kung hindi ang maghubad, idagdag pa na badtrip siya sa pina meet ni Light sa kanya. "Hindi sana kita makikilala."

"Yeah? I am not wearing my eyeglasses that day. Buti nalang pala nakalimutan ko," she chuckled at her own answer.

"Bumalik ako sa building non na walang damit."

Agad na tumingala si Devi sa kanya, Castiel can't help the smile forming in his lips, napaka cute naman kasi ng girlfriend niya. Devi was squinting her eyes while her lips are pouted.

"Closer, I want to kiss you." Castiel uttered, his eyes were not leaving her pouted lips, masyadong nakakaakit.

Bahagyang umusog si Devi at pinatakan ng halik ang labi niya. Castiel never felt satisfied in his whole life with just a freaking smack kiss, ngayon lang. Only his little bee can do that. Only his little bee can make him feel butterflies in his stomach. Only Liam Devora.

Siniksik ni Devi ang mukha niya sa may dibdib niya at mariin na pumikit. He's sure that she can hear how fast his heart beating right now that her head was resting on his chest. God, he loves his woman so much. Ano na lang ang gagawin niya kung biglang mawala si Devi? Hell will break loose.

"I love you, Liam Devora." He whispered lovingly, he became breathless as he speak those words. It feels magical.

"And I'm falling deeper into the depths of hell, Castiel." She answered, her voice was serene, and his heart literally skips a beat.

"So, you're telling me that I am really a demon? Excuse me, ma'am. My name means 'Shield of God'." Medyo may pagmamalaki pa sa boses niya.

But the moment Devi open her eyes and stared at him. He realized that his name doesn't suit him. Castiel smile faded and groaned in annoyance which made Devi chuckled heartily.

"Banal nga ang pangalan mo, ang tanong banal ka ba?" He raised his brow and glance at her.

Castiel face turned sour. "When did you learned to bully me?" Nangangastigong tanong niya rito.

"I love you even though you have three to four or more horns." Devi sweet talked him.

Whipped. That's the perfect term for Castiel. Pabirong umikot ang mga mata niya at pinanggigilan nalang ng yakap si Devi, it's not like he have something to say as his rebuttal. Marupok siya pagdating sa babae na yakap yakap niya, sa pagtulog nilang dalawa, hanggang sa paggising sa umaga.

Another day and he heard another serious matter from his brother. He was about to lost his shits intact again when he remembered Devi. Hindi pwedeng uminom na naman siya at baka magsisi na talaga ito sa kanya.

"That's why they're not talking again?" Mahinahon na tanong niya sa kapatid.

Carthiel's sighed on the other line. "Yes, nasabi ko lang sayo because you deserve to know it. But don't get me wrong, I don't hate her. I'm in a process of healing, so, it doesn't really matter to me now."

"It matter to me, Kuya." He sighed.

Carthiel just chuckled at his worried voice. "Seriously, gusto ko lang malaman mo, and to warn you of course. She's getting... No, rather... He's getting worse, Castiel. He's not a human anymore."

Castiel glance at Devi when she walk past him, pagtapos ay bumalik sa sala kung saan siya komportable na ginagawa ang trabaho niya, at agad na hinawakan ang kamay niya. She even squeeze it lightly.

"Hindi naman talaga siya tao. Hayop ang gagong 'yon!" Castiel hissed.

Carthiel gives him a heads up and talk about work instead, umabot din sila ng mahigit isang oras habang nasa tabi niya si Devi, she was holding her iPad and doing her work. According to her, sa field na 'to siya magaling. She said she's poor but she's thriving, making her rich in his eyes.

"Do you want some coffee?" Tanong niya rito.

Devi glance at her and nod her head as she smiled brightly. "Yes, please!"

Castiel chuckled and shake his head amusingly. Tumayo na siya at nagpunta sa kusina para ipagtimpla ito, one thing he likes about Devi, hindi ito maarte lalo na sa pagkain. She's fine whatever food he dined.

He can still remembered how Devi made him eat a sardines for the first time. The first one was raw, habang ang pangalawa naman ay ginisa nito at hinaluan ng itlog.

"Ito lang ang kaya kong lutuin, aside from hotdogs, eggs, tocino and other ready to eat dish."

He chuckled sexily, walang pagmamalaki sa boses nito. Instead, Devi looks down and her cheeks glowing. Castiel brewed coffee and poured a milk in it and put iced. She likes it, dinamihan na niya para sana hati silang dalawa. But, knowing his little bee, kulang pa ang isang tumbler na tinimpla niya.

"Here 'ya go," aniya at inilapag sa coffee table ang tumbler na binili niya para kay Devi. She just smiled at him and continue her work.

Ganoon din ang ginawa ni Castiel. They're both working on their day off but it was a good day for him. At least, they're both busy with their own priorities.

They will only talk if Devi or him asked for suggestions and opinions. He finished his work early as usual.

"Castiel! Someone's calling you!" Sigaw ni Devi mula sa kwarto nilang dalawa. He left his phone inside their room, ayaw niyang maistorbo kahit si Light at Xyria pa ang tumatawag during his work hours. Even his own mother.

"Answer it for me, little bee!" He yelled back, nililigpit pa ang mga gamit niya sa sala.

NAUNA NA SI Devi na umakyat kay Castiel para maligo, they're going out to have a dinner, since both of them don't know how to cook. Dalawang gabi na din sila na sardinas ang ulam.

She pressed the answer with a lump on her throat, the one who's calling Castiel was his mother.

"Hello po?" Devi answered shyly, she couldn't even hear her own voice.

Narinig niya ang bahagyang pagsinghap sa kabilang linya.

[You must be his girlfriend? Is he busy?] May pag-aalinlangan na tanong nito sa kanya.

"Ako nga po, ano po... Tapos na po siya sa trabaho, gusto niyo po ba makausap? Tatawagin ko po." Natatarantang sagot niya rito.

Devi heard a heavy sighed, mas lalong nagbara ang lalamunan niya. According to Carthiel's mother, Castiel mother will surely like her, she doesn't want to over think but her voice had a different tone.

[The fact that he let you answered the call for him is enough for me to know that he's still mad,] Castiel's mother sighed again. [May I know your name?]

Naguguluhan siya sa sinasabi ng mama ni Castiel pero sinagot pa rin niya ito.

"Devi po, Liam Devorah Gaviola po, ma'am." May paggalang na sagot niya rito. Devi was rubbing her nape, in hope that it will help her to relax a bit. Beside, it's just a phone call, wala pa naman ito sa harapan niya.

[Devi, I want to meet you personally. Can we meet? Please don't tell my son?]

Kumalabog ang dibdib ni Devi sa gusto nito.

"Ahh, kailan po ba? Okay lang po ba kung sa Day off ko nalang?" May alinlangan na tanong niya rito. It was Castiel's mother, but unfortunately, she was feeling uneasy.

Her late Grandfather taught her not to trust easily, especially if she's feeling uneasy for a certain person, ganoon din ang laging paalala sa kanya ng papa niya noong nabubuhay pa ito.

Hindi niya pinahalata sa mama ni Castiel na kinakabahan siya. She told her the day she's free, uuwi dapat ulit silang dalawa ni Castiel sa bahay nila. But looks like she needed to postponed it for a while.

[Okay, ite-text nalang kita sa number mo kung saan at anong oras tayo magkikita. See you soon, Devi.] Napalunok nalang si Devi at hindi na nagawang magpaalam.

"Who's that?" Castiel asked and immediately wrapped his arms around her waist, his face rested on her shoulder.

"Your mother, she was just asking if—" He cut her off.

"Don't lie to me, Devi." Anito na seryoso ang mukha. And for the first time since they were together, Castiel looked at her with his scary face, masyadong madilim ang mukha nito, like anytime he's going to kill someone.

But Devi's sure that she's not that 'someone'.

Her knees wobbled a little, anticipation hits her, in a situation like this.

"She wants to meet me. Without you." Pagsuko niya, hindi pa rin umiiwas sa matalim na tingin sa kanya ni Castiel.

His sharp eyes became deadly, humigpit din ang pagkayakap sa kanya ni Castiel, he was gritting his teeth, kasabay ng pag igting ng panga nito.

"Can you do me a favor?" His voice was gentle, like a feather touching her skin, but her eyes and facial expressions was saying different.

Devi nod her head, "ano 'yon?" Tanong niya rito.

"Don't meet her. For me. I don't want to lose you. I trust you and all, pero kung siya ang kikitain mo, hindi ako mapapakali lalo na at hindi ako kasama." His eyes were now back to his normal stare, the kind of stare that made her knees tremble, bakas ang pag-aalala nito para sa kanya.

Kumunot ang noo ni Devi. "Castiel, mama mo 'yun."

"Exactly, she's my mother. I know her more than you do. We know her more than you do, little bee. And I'm afraid, natatakot ako sa pwede nilang gawin sayo."

"Is she that bad? Para matakot ka ng ganyan?" She asked. Confused.

Castiel nod his head and clenched his jaw. "Yes. They're getting worse and worse than before, so please, stay beside me."

"May iba pa ba akong mapupuntahan maliban sayo?" She asked and smile softly at him. Assuring him that she's not going to do something stupid that can put her life in danger. If that's the right term.

This man turn her life upside and down. Mas lalong babaliktad ang mundo ni Devi kung mawawala ito sa tabi niya.

Hindi niya alam kung bakit ganoon nalang ang takot ni Castiel sa sariling ina nito, but for her to stay safe. She will stay beside him. Beside her shield.
