Layla slipped into a dark green and shiny long dress and started struggling to comb her hair

She finally finished and tied in bun before making a mental note to go to the salon

She draped her veil over her shoulders and sprayed some perfume

"Mommy mommy where are you going to?" Aman asked curiously.

"I'm going to the salon and guess what?" She said.

"You're getting me my spiderman watch!" He guessed.

"Right! That's my boy" They shared a high five.

"Mommy where is Uncle Dudu?" Anam walked in holding her doll

"He has travelled to Nigeria but he will be back soon Inshallah" She applied an eyeliner cause her eyes looked dull and sleepy.

"Where is Nyjyria? Are we going there too!?" Aman said.

"No son,we are going to stay here forever" Layla faked a grin.

She knows that she is being selfish especially to her siblings but she also doesn't want them to think of her going back to Aaban which she is obviously going to refuse and Aaban can say that he will take his children away which will never happen

"I'll call Nancy to stay with you till I come back okay?"

"Okay mommy" She picked her clutch and called Nancy.

Nancy arrived some minutes later and Layla left immediately.

She arrived at Starbucks and she walked into the building

Her eyes kept wandering looking for him but she didn't see him

"Maam how can I help you?" A waitress asked.

"A cup of coffee will do"

She sighed and checked her Versace wristwatch,it's been 30 minutes!

She wanted to leave so badly but something is stopping her

Fool! Its not because of Aaban it's because of the amazing coffee

She gulped down the whole cup and was about to leave when she saw him walking into the building

"I've been waiting for you" She hissed.

"I'm sorry,my car broke down" He apologized.

"I didn't ask you why you were late"She rolled her eyes and sat down.

He kept quiet for a while thinking how much she has changed

She is more beautiful now *He thought

Even though she didn't wear something that is revealing,he still knows cause even when they were still together she was still curvy

"Speak up please I have other places to go" She cleared her throat.

"I just want to clear all of the misunderstandings between us so I'm going to tell you everything from the start till today" He said.

"After three whole years?" She faked a chuckle.

"Yes please but their is one thing that I can't tell you and that is why I rejected you but I'll tell you every other thing"

"Go on" She said clearly uninterested.

"Some years back,I was going to meet my business partner who lives with his family in Ghana and is a citizen of Ghana too I arrived in his house and that was when I met Tasha ever since,I started thinking about her and so I hired someone to find out every single detail about her even her number"

"I called her and we became very good friends and when we became close I thought it was the right time to tell her about my feelings for her cause I thought she also has feelings for me and I went ahead and asked her out but she me rejected me,that was the first time that I experienced a heartbreak then I went back to London and my triplet friends May,Kay and Jay convinced me that drinking is going to make me forget every single thing and then I started drinking and partying with girls and whenever I wanted to enjoy with girls and they don't give me their permission I get angry and r-rape them then I will give them money

"A week later,Tasha called me and told me that she has accepted my proposal and that she was just scared cause she doesn't want to experience a heartbreak and being the big fool I am,I forgave her and we started dating and ever since I stopped touching and partying with other girls cause I wanted to be loyal to her and that was when I thought it was high time we get married cause she is always trying to touch me and even kiss me"

I told her that we have to get married cause I don't want us to be in a Haram relationship even though I didn't care that much I just wanted her to be mine and mine alone and so she agreed and we got married

Layla stared at him with pure shock

So they have been married all this while!? And she didn't know!

"I've heard enough I have to leave" She swallowed her tears and stood up.

"Layla please listen to me please" He begged.

"For Aman and Anam" He added quickly and she had no other choice.

"Thank you" He said and continued.

"We got married and some months into our marriage,my father said that they have arranged my marriage with you,Layla I was really angry and I informed Tasha about it then I went to London for a business trip and that was when we got married and I promised myself to make your life a living hell and I found out that she was only with me for my money and nothing else I wasn't hurt when I found out about it cause my heart only belongs to you and I divorced her"

"And why did you tell me all of this?" She asked trying to mask her pain.

"Please if you really want to know why I did everything I did,then you should follow me to Nigeria" He said.

"What!?" She stood up immediately.

"Yes Layla please danAllah" He went on his knees

"No and I was never interested in knowing your ugly past!" She spat.

"Please Layla and I promise that you are not going to regret it and if you agree then everything is going to be crystal clear and we will live as a happy family please"

"I don't want any of that to happen and I know that you want me to go to Nigeria so that you can make my father get us married again wait what am I even saying? You don't love me so why will you want us to get back together? You just want to take my children which will never happen"

"No please and that's not the only reason why I told you to go to Nigeria"

"What?"

"Fahad told me that Kaka is very sick and she said that she wants to see all of her grandchildren even you"

The mention of her brother's name made her heart melt

She misses her siblings alot! Especially Faree

"Why are you lying to me? And no one even knows that we've meet after three years" She said.

"No one knows,he was just telling me that she wants to see you urgently"

"I'm not going anywhere you're lying to me" She left.

She walked into well furnished pink and white salon that is filled with Olive oil and other hair products scents

"Ma'am,what do you want? Washing, Drying,Steaming,Stretching,braids,Manicure, Pedicure or Nail fixing" A posh looking young lady in her early twenties said.

"I want to wash,dry then you'll braid it and I'll have a manicure and pedicure later on"

"Okay ma'am" The young lady nodded and the service began.

The service finished and she paid before leaving.

She drove to the kids store she normally gets Aman and Anam's stuff

She walked into the rainbow coloured shop looking around for what she came to get

"For Aman right? I knew that he was going to spoil the old one like he did with the rest" The owner of the shop who knows Layla as a regular customer chuckled.

"Yes ma'am I came to buy him a new one" Layla chuckled.

"Okay their are new sets and they don't get affected by water and it also has a tracker that can help you find him when he is hiding somewhere and you can also get one for Anam" The middle aged woman giggled.

"Okay sure" She looked at the twin wristwatches one is of spiderman and the other is of Frozen

"You can just connect the trackers to your phone or computer that's all" The owner said.

"Okay ma'am thank you very much" She walked with the box to the cashier.

"You don't have to pay Leila,tell them that it's a gift from me okay?" The woman grinned.

"But...." She cut her off.

"I've always wanted to get something expensive for Aman and Anam and I've gotten a chance so please don't stop me"

"Thank you ma'am" She put the box in a leather bag and left

She checked the price sticker and saw that each of the wristwatches are four pounds

"Woah! That's 2000 and something naira each" She looked at the wristwatches.

She drove back home and was welcomed with bear hugs

"Yayyy my wristwatch!!" Aman squealed.

"Me too!" Aman said equally happy.

She freshened up and changed into a black Abaya and just then Fadoul called.

"Assalamualaikum" Layla said.

"Waalaikumusalam Layla you have to come to Nigeria" He said.

"What are you saying Fadoul?" She asked.

"Yes Layla you have to come cause your grandmother is in a critical condition and she.. she thinks that she may die so she wants to see all of her grandchildren especially you cause she has wronged you alot"

"You told them that you know where I am?"

"Yes Layla I had to! And your father has arranged a meeting for the elders because of you and Aaban and it will happen as soon as you land in Nigeria"

"But--- Okay I'll think about it" She said with fear.

"You'll think about it? No matter what she has done to you Layla she is still your grandmother and she wants nothing but your forgiveness you're slowly turning into something I can't even explain" He said with disbelief.

"Fadoul,Aaban just wants his kids back and I'm not going to let that happen" She sobbed.

"Layla please come to Nigeria for my sake please"

This man here has never asked her to repay him for all that he has done for her and now he is asking for a favor for her and it's not even for his own gain!

"Are you still there?" He asked.

"Y-yes I'll come" She said.

"Alhamdulillah thank you very much" He grinned.

"Don't mention Fadoul"

"My regards to the twins"

"Alright, bye" She swallowed her tears.

"Bye"

Oh Allah please help me,my decision is a really big and tough one but I'll have to face it now

"And the thing that hurts me the most is that my siblings didn't even bother to check up on me cause they obviously know that Fadoul knows about my whereabouts" Hot tears rolled down her cheeks.

She picked up her iPad and booked a flight to Nigeria which will take off tomorrow night

She sent an Email to Anam and Aman's school that they will be out of the country for a few days

She carried two big suitcase and arranged both her clothes and the twins with other necessary stuff

And another small one for her undies
