Layla wore her packed her hair in a low bun and put on her black turban

The hearing is starting by 10am sharp and since the twins are on a public holiday,she called their nanny to stay with them

She stopped in front of the court room and recited the ayatul kursiyyu before walking in with her right leg

She flashed Mrs Smith an assuring smile and glared at her ex husband who smirked.

The judge walked in and everyone stood up as a sign of respect

"I am Mrs Layla Mustapha,Mrs Smith's lawyer" She introduced.

"I am Mr George Floyd,Mr Henry's lawyer" He introduced himself.

"The proceedings can begin" The judge announced.

"My Lord,Mrs Smith my client has suffered in the hands of her ex husband as she said,ever since she gave birth her whole attention was on her child and when she found out that her husband didn't like the less attention,she apologized and ever since,he started coming back drunk and he will beat ..." She explained but was cut off by George.

"Objection my Lord! She is falsely accusing my client of domestic violence without any evidence" He objected.

"Take note Mrs Layla" The Judge warned.

"Okay my Lord" She apologized and continued.

"And that was what led to thier divorce" She concluded.

"What do you have to say George?" The judge asked.

"That my client Mr Henry didn't do any of what my rival said,I agree that he comes back late from home and that he has started drinking but it all happened because of his wife! She stopped giving her husband attention" He said.

"Objection my Lord! Mr George is trying to change the topic" Layla objected.

"Take note Mr Floyd,stop changing the topic"

"Okay My Lord" He bowed down a bit and continued

"The reason why my client wants his child to stay with him is because his ex wife Mrs Smith is an irresponsible woman and her current husband may not treat the child as he will treat his own" George said.

"Mr Smith promised that he is going to take care of the child as he will take care of his own child and a child needs a mother in his life more than he will ever need his dad and Mrs Smith and Mr Henry's child is a girl so their are certain things that she can't tell her father cause he is a male and her mom is a female just like her" Layla said.

"But it doesn't matter cause her father has gotten married again so my Lord please I want you to give the complete custody of Mr Henry's daughter to him and she is going to take care of her"

"Your honor,I just said that Mr Smith promised to take care of Mrs Smith's daughter just like Mr George said and how sure is he she won't be a wicked step mother?"

"Objection my Lord! Mrs Layla is trying to insult My Clients wife" He objected.

"Take note" The judge said.

"Okay My Lord, I would like to present my first witness in this case can I present to you Mr Henry's housemaid Natalie?"

"Permission granted,Come to the witness box Natalie!"

"I'm Natalie Paiz,Mr Henry's maid" She introduced.

Mr Henry and Mr George both looked really tensed which made Layla even more happy and eager to win the case

"Miss Natalie,ever since Mr Henry got married to his new wife was she a good person? I mean are her characters great?" Layla asked.

"No ma'am,ever since she married Mr Henry she never for once came back home early sometimes she'll be back by 12am and sometimes 5am and she fights alot with Mr Henry" Natalie said.

"Thank you Natalie Paiz,you can go back to you seat and I would like to call my second witness Mr Johnson who is a driver in Mr Henry's house"

"Permission granted,come to the witness box Mr Johnson!"

"Mr Johnson,where do you usually take Mrs Henry?" Layla asked.

"Clubs and Hotels mostly" He answered.

"And is she a good boss?" Layla asked again

"Your honor Mrs Layla is trying to cross her limits!" Mr George said.

"Mr George you'll be given a permission to speak once she is done" The judge explained.

"No ma'am,she is always insulting me and their was a time when she and Mr Henry were arguing about his daughter and she said that she isn't ready to be a mother talkless of being a step mother" Mr Johnson said.

Mr Johnson went back to his seat and the proceedings continued

"Do you have any witness or anything to say Mr Henry?" The Judge asked.

"No your honor but please I'll like to be given a week to gather some proof" Mr Henry requested

"Your honor,if you give them more time then they will try to kidnap Mrs Smith's daughter like they tried to so please I request that you say your final verdict"

"Since kidnapping is involved in this then their is no way that you would be given time so from all of the evidences presented to me,the court has given the custody of Mr Henry and Mrs Smith's daughter to Mr and Mrs Smith" The judge declared and Layla broke into a smile

"And Mr Henry is going to serve 5 years in prison for attempting to kidnap"

She muttered an Alhamdulillah under her breath and faced Mrs Smith whose happiness knew no bounds

"Thank you so much Mrs Layla I'm really glad to have chosen you for this case thank you very much" Mrs Smith broke into tears of Joy.

"Its alright Mrs Smith your daughter is all yours now and that is what matters" Layla grinned.

"You couldn't even fight with a woman!" Mr Henry mocked.

"Keep quiet Mr! I asked you to pay me more but you didn't so serves you right! And I warned you not to try to kidnap her or else they will use it against you in court but you didn't listen to me" Mr George hissed.

"You'll pay for this!" The police dragged him away.

Its been three since Aaban walked out of my life!

I just realized that I really have feelings for him and not Emex

He found out that I've been stealing from him and that Emex is my boyfriend I don't know why but he didn't look hurt at all when he severed all ties with me

And not once did he look back at me

And as for Emex,he took all of the money and started a business

And now I'm left with nothing and why? Because I'm pregnant with his child and if I abort then I will loose my life because of the abortions of Emex's children I've done in the past and as a model,I can't work with pregnancy which is slowly making me bankrupt

"If only I didn't cheat Aaban then I would have been with him now and not that stupid girl!" She hissed as she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen.

I am now 5 months far

I think I should frame someone for raping me five months ago! Yes that's my only solution and then,I'll get money to take care of myself and after I give birth,I will throw this stupid baby away in a dustbin

But which fool can I frame? It has to be a rich man and a rich man will get a great lawyer and a great lawyer will fall my big ass

A knock came through on the door and she hissed before opening it

I gasped loudly when I saw the three huge men standing before me

They pushed me to the ground and beat me to a pulp

"Please w-what did I do to you?" I sobbed.

"Someone made us angry and so we wanted to vent out our anger on someone that will cry and it will give us satisfaction!" They walked out of the house.

So this was the same thing that Layla went through when Aaban beat her up and all because of me

I hope that she will forgive me one day!
