Alone you slept, in a coma, for almost 3 months now. You slept alone in your hospital room, the only comfort in your slumber was L's shirt that you were wearing the day you went into the coma. L didn't let the nurses take it off, he stayed with you day in and day out for the past three months. He stayed beside you with your hand in his as he listened to the beep of the heart monitor run steadily.

He often wondered what you dreamed about, was it him? That was all he hoped, for you to remember him. He was in a traumatic state, his eye bags darker than usual, his hair had grown longer than its usual length, he permanently smelt of black coffee and for once, he wasn't working on a case.

It was approaching the fourth month of your coma, and L was slowly starting to loose hope, but he wasn't going to give up, he didn't care if it took three years for you to wake up, he just needed you to be alive and well. He'd often put his jumpers over you as a blanket in hopes the sent of his strawberry shortcake aura would at least keep your memory's of him.

"L"

He turned to see Watari behind him.

"The doctors want you to know, of you let them give her this medicine, there's a 50% chance of her waking up within an hour of having it"

"What about the other 50%?" L asked.

"...it could make her sleep longer"

L pushed his now insanely long fringe out of his eyes and thought for a moment.

"Let's do it..."

Soon, a group of doctors came in with a needle and surgical stuff, L waited anxiously outside the room as the doctors make a literal hole in your head and injected the medicine directly into your brain, it was a long painful 3 hours L waited outside that door on the brink of tears, and when the doctors came out and said the operation was successful. L ran into the room and sat beside your sleeping body, he took your hand in his and tired to fight back the tears that wanted to pour out.

"Come on sweetheart... you can wake up" he whispered to your sleeping self.

The words echoed in your mind, you didn't have the strength the move, but you were slowly gaining consciousness.

"(Y/n)... of you can hear me, it's L. You know, Lawliet your fiancé-"

'Lawliet? Your fiancé?'

"Remember me? We had plans to marry last month. But you fell into a coma. It's been three months but it's all going to be ok-"

'Married? Three months?'

"Maybe you need a little boost... do you remember our song? Alone she sleeps, in the shirt of man, my three wishes clutched in her hand..."

'Our song? OUR SONG! LAWLIET! Your fiancé! The wedding! The coma!'

It all came back to you in an instant. You had to wake up, all the strength you had was focused on waking up. You had to see L again.

You felt his hands around yours, you very slowly started to open your eyes. You heard the beeping of the heart monitor and the busyness of the hall outside. You forced your eyes open where you saw L looking down at you, his eyes closed, tears streaming down his cheeks, his hair had grown and his bags were darker. You looked around and saw you were still wearing the shirt you fell asleep in. Had it really been three months?

"Lawlipop?" You managed to say.

He shot his attention toward you as the tears streaming down his face got heavier.

"(Y/n)!" He sobbed.

He wrapped his arms around you tightly and cried his eyes out.

"I was afraid you'd never wake up! Don't ever do that again! I missed you so much! I love you, I love you, I love you!"

You wrapped your weak arms around him and smiled.

"Shhh... it's ok, I'm awake now... I love you to bits I hope you didn't forget that" you said as your felt your eyes well up with tears.

"I could never forget that..."

You stayed in each other's arms for what felt like years and when you finally broke you were only connected again by your lips colliding with his as your shared a deep, passionate yet gentle kiss.

"I love you so much..." he said staring deep into your eyes.

"I love you too Lawlipop..."
