You walked down the street, following your current suspect. Suspect if what you may ask? Ever since the infamous LA BB murder case, you had made it your goal to find L. Currently you were following a guy known by two names, Ryuga and Ryuzaki. All the more reason to be suspicious, having two names. He always switched hotels and had an unknown man with him. One day you followed the naked man to an ICPO meeting, finding out he's the only known person in the world who can contact L.

All this evidence pointed to this 'Ryuzaki' being L. That and he looks tired as fuck, probably from working on the Kira case. You decided to make your move as he turned a corner and walked into a park. You walked up behind him and pulled your hood up. You grabbed his shoulder, making him stop.

"I know who you are L...""

He tensed up at those words, proving your theory right.

"Before you turn around, I am known as X around these parts..."

"X? As in the second best detective in the world?" He said.

"Correct, I have information about the Kira case. If you're willing to take me on board, I'll tell you" you said.

"How can I trust you?"

"Take this file, read it and call me if you want me. I have something you don't, I have the eyes... Lawliet"

With those words, you turned and ran off to hide behind a sign outside the park, you watched as L looked around worried about his name being known. He looked at the file and ran back to his hotel. You turned to walk home, satisfied with your work. You would be on the Kira task force before you knew it. As you walked up to your house, you checked the time and smirked.

"3, 2, 1"

You picked up your phone and answered it.

"X speaking"

"Alright X you've got yourself a deal, you can join the case. Just keep my name secret and tell me what you mean by 'the eyes" L said.

"I'll have to tell you about the eyes in person, as for keeping your name secret. You're safe with me, I wouldn't want you to die anyway, you have successors, I don't. If I died it'd be whatever, if you died, although your prepared. I doubt you've picked a successor. It'd be a mess" you said.

"How do you know all this?"

"I have my ways"

"If you come to The Evergreen Hotel at 8 tomorrow, we can clear this up and you better tell me about the eyes"

"I will, I'll see you there Hotsuff"

With a smirk you hung up and shoved your phone in your pocket.

"Light Yagami, you're going down."
