ABHIMAAN'S POV

As Vrinda left, I clenched my fists in anger loking around at the men surrounding me.

"Just leave the case" One of the man said and I looked at him.

"Who sent you" I asked

"You know that better. We just have this message for you. Leave the case. " Another one said and I laughed

"Go and tell your fucking master, to fuck off" I said when one of them came trying to punch me when I bent, dodging and kicked on his leg such that he fell on the ground.

"Your wife will know your reality if you don't drop this case" The man on the ground said

Taking out my gun, I shot in on leg and looked at the men attacking me.

As I was fighting with them, one face was coming infront of me.

"Argh" I groaned as I felt a punch on my face.

"Bastard" I growled kicking on the stomach of one and punching another.

I just can't kill anyone here.

Hence I fought, I fought with those men till they were half beaten.

As I was about to inform, I saw my phone beeping.

"Sir.. Ma'am" It was Elliot

"Elliot, what happened" I asked

"Ma'am just suffered asthma attack. She, fainted. I'm on my to hospital. I've sent you a car" He informed

"What. I'm coming" I said cutting the call and looked angrily at the men groaning in pain.

I kicked one of them in anger.

"Tell your master that next time attack face to face bastards" I screamed kicking once more.

I looked around and thankfully there was no one hence I went towards the road and saw a car.

"Mr. Dawson" I spoke when he just nodded and I opened the door sitting inside.

"The police saw" I asked

"No" He replied and I nodded.

"Public" I questioned

"Not that we've been informed" He told as he stopped at the hospital.

I ran inside and saw Elliot.

"Excuse me. Sir, you're bleeding. Please proceed to emergency center" The nurse spoke

"I'm fine. I need to see my wife first" I said and before she could stop, I just took fast steps with Elliot and he stopped infront of door.

"Doctors are checking in. They've put ma'am on oxygen" Elliot informed and I realized that her asthma pump was with me.

Shit!!

"Sir, the wound" Elliot spoke and I looked at him.

"What did Vrinda ask" I questioned

"What was happening? Am I even a bodyguard" He said

"What did you reply" I again questioned

"I didn't answer" he told and I nodded

As doctor came out I looked at him.

"Sir what has happened" I asked when he looked at me and then at my upper arm.

"She had an asthma attack. I might think this as a police ca.. " he was speaking when Elliot spoke.

"He's the husband. He was attacked by local goons. His wife heard about this and got panic attack. Now can you just send someone to treat his wound" He asked but all I looked at was the door behind the doctor.

"How is my wife doctor" I asked

"Fine but fainted. We can't tell how much time it'll take her to regain her consciousness. May be 2 hours. May be ten hours" He replied when I sighed

"Can I go inside" I questioned when he nodded

"Get the wounds cleaned first" He said

"Just, let me see her once" I whispered to which he nodded and left.

"Elliot, Who knows it all" I demanded

"Sir.. " he was saying but stopped when I sighed

"Neil? " I asked

"Neil's sir is on his way here" He told and I nodded.

As I entered inside, I saw Vrinda in that hospital bed, oxygen tubes attached.

"I'm sorry" I whispered

"I'm so sorry wild cat. Please wake up fast" I whispered as I went near her.

"Please. It wasn't meant to end up like this" I added as I kissed her hairs.

Nothing pained me more then seeing her like this.

"Sir.. " A nurse came and I looked at her.

"Doctor sent me to clean the wounds. Can I check them" She asked and I nodded as I sat there.

She asked me to remove the shirt and then looked a bit shocked at me.

"Just do your work. These are old scars" I muttered when she nodded

As she did dressing on the wound and the bruises, I wore my shirt again and looked at the time.

"Sir, the victim of the case is waiting at her home." Elliot informed

"I can't focus on it right now Elliot. And this is Vrinda's case. She's going to wake up and sort this out. I'm not touching it" I stated when he looked at me for a second and then nodded.

I stood there, sat on the stool, waiting for her to wake up. Time passed by it was one in after noon but there was no sign of her movement.

The doctors informed that she was on sedation too for now.

As the nurse came I stopped her.

"Vrinda, Why isn't she waking up. Do something" I asked

"Sir it'll.. " as she was saying I saw Vrinda waking up.

I sighed in relief as I looked at her.

"Thank God you're awake. I was so af.. " I was speaking as I went near her to hug her when she pushed me away.

"Stay away" She screamed .

I stumbled on my feet and looked at her shocked.

"Vrinda" I spoke when she tried to stand up, throwing away the nebulizer but she stumbled when I held her but she pulled herself away again.

"I said stay away" She yelled again this time

"Okay okay. Calm down. " I spoke when she chuckled humorlessly.

"Calm down? How are you even talking to me standing here right now Mr. Abhimaan Kapoor" She asked and at the same time the doctor came inside.

Does.. Does she know! No, I was going to tell her. This won't be right.

"Mrs. Kapoor. It's not good to exhaust like this right now" he said

"I want to go to my family doctor. Right now" She said

"Okay. Your husba.. " as he was saying she again spoke.

"No. Not him. I want to go to my family" She pressed the words and I looked at her, hurt.

Ain't I the family? The words pierced my soul.

"Okay. Okay. We'll. For now. Rest for a while. You can't exhaust yourself like this or else you might faint again" He said when she nodded wiping my tears.

As he went out, I looked at her.

"Let me explain Vrinda. Let me explain what happened in morning" I said

"I.. Need to tell you everything. I need to tell you who I am. I need you to let me exp.. " I continued when she spoke.

"I don't want your explanation Abhimaan" She cleared

"Vrinda please. " I pleaded when the door again opened and I looked to see.. Neil and Anjali.

"Anjali" She whispered as Anjali came and hugged her crying.

I looked at Neil and I just clenched my jaws when he sighed.

"Vri... Sush. Vrinda. You're fine. I'm here" She rubbed my back

"They're liers. Th.. They lied" She sobbed and Anjali looked at her shocked and then her eyes drifted to Neil and me.

"Anjali, don't tell me.. Don't tell me you knew" She asked

If there would've been one secret, she would've known. She knows just one.

Nothing else.

"Vrinda. Calm down okay. Okay. What are you talking about" She asked

"What am I talking about. What all you have been hiding from me" She screamed as she threw the table near her in anger.

She knows. She definitely knows of what I've always been afraid of.

"Vrinda, enough. " I warned

"Enough? What enough huh. How could you Abhimaan. How could you" She yelled as she held me by collars while tears were running down her cheeks.

"Please let me explain" I begged through my eyes.

"I just want to go away from here" She said and walked towards the door opening it.

"Please maintain silence. Other patients aee getting affected" The staff complained when I spoke.

"We're going to the hotel right now. We'll talk there" I said

"I'm not going anywhere with you" She snapped

"Vrinda, don't argue please. I'm obviously not leaving you alone here. Not after whatever happened today" I warned

"And you care. " She scoffed

"Vrinda please. Not here" I said when she looked at me wiping her tears and then just walked when I gestured Elliot and he nodded.

As we left from there, we went to the hotel and Lucas thankfully got it's top floor totally empty where the suite was.

" Please let me explain now" I spoke when she looked at me.

"What explain? Will you have a reason to explain this" She asked as she opened her phone and slammed it on my chest.

I looked at her confused yet watched the video.

I looked at Neil who was already looking at me shocked and Anjali who gasped looking at us.

"Neil" Her voice trembled

"No Anjali, Vrinda. No really. Let him explain. It's not a whole truth. Abh.."Neil was saying when I stopped him.

" This is the truth Vrinda. And I won't even lie because, it's about my dad" I honestly said looking into her eyes.

Each scene from that day was running in front of me.

The only camera footage we got that day. The only person who was with dad but left him t...to Die.

I won't hide it anymore from her. I had no plans of hiding it from her. But I was bounded.

By Laws.

"And the person you're accusing of your father's murder, IS MY DAD" She screamed

I stood there in the suite without uttering a word.

"How could you Abhimaan. How could you" She cried

"Tell me once, please tell me once. It's a morphed video. It's a lie. Please. Don't do this to me" She cried holding my face and I controlled my emotions this time.

Clenching my fists I looked away taking a deep breath.

"Your Dad is the prime suspect of my dad's murder Vrinda. And if he is the murderer, I won't hesitate to ki.. " before I could complete a hard slap echoed in the room and I shut my eyes as the my cheek was stinging with that slap.

And I looked at the door finding four men I showed my hands stopping them there only.

"What are you even saying ? Do you even know. He is my father Abhimaan. He's my life. He won't have ever done this. He's, he's never even touched anyone let alone kill" She sobbed

"Once you see the cctv footage of that day, I hope you'll suspect him just the wa.. " I was stopped again as she spoke.

"Abhimaan. Are you mad. Fo you even realize what are you saying. Are you even a man. Do something to my dad and I.. I will.. " she was warning with tears in her eyes and then looking at me she picked out the gun from my back and pointed it at me.

"I'll kill you" Her voice was trembling just like her hands and before I could stop her, four guns were pointed at her head.

"Get that fucking away from her" I screamed at the men and they looked at me for a second.

"It's An Order" I commanded to which they stepped away.

As I looked at Vrinda, she looked at me shocked, her body was trembling, hands were shaking.

I sighed taking a step near her and took that gun from her.

"I'm sorry to say ma'am, but next time before you point a gun at him atleast know who he is" It was one of the man who spoke when I glared him.

"Kuldeep Singh, I Am Talking Here. And You Don't Speak Right Now. Am I Clear" I warned

"Yes Sir" He replied

"Who are you Abhimaan. Who are these people. Do.. You all have guns. Neil, I'm sure you too. And Anjali you're standing there, di.. Did you know this. Ho.. How co.. " Vrinda cried

"No. I swear I didn't know this. I just knew that Neil and Abhimaan are.. " she was saying but then she stopped and looked at Neil with tears.

"For the first time,you're making me hate you Neil " Anjali whispered when he looked at her.

A tear left his eye as he looked at his wife but he stood there,his jaws clenched.

Then he looked at Vrinda taking a step near her and pulling out his gun from his back he kept the same on the table in front of her.

"I'm Sorry. But I'm not sorry for who I Am. I Am Proud Of It" He said his head high, his eyes boring hers.

"And Vrinda the man you're accusing of, I wish you once would've heard him. Because this man is someone who is saving you from God knows how many troubles since you were captured near him for the first time . This man standing infront of you is not a lawyer Abhimaan Kapoor. He's The Head Of The Group Gamma.
The former Captain of Indian Army, Abhimaan Kapoor, currently Secretary Of Counter Terrorism, RAW INDIA. Sir!!" Neil revealed turning to my side in an attention position including the other men in the suite.
