"Stop Making It Difficult"

ABHIMAAN'S POV

Two weeks. It had been two whole weeks and I didn't even get a text reply from her.

Something inside me was so, so angry on her that I could literally dig a grave and throw her into it.

But something inside me was so so restless to just listen to her voice once.

Fuck!! I was in a mess. I was missing her.

The woman who accidently met me and was my wife since one month, was becoming my addiction. Addiction without me even touching her. Her voice, her smell , her presence, everything was being missed by me.

The day she left without informing me, I was mad thinking she's careless.

But when I checked my phone, I saw some texts from Tanya Dewani. I remember I was in washroom and she might have read the texts misinterpreting things. Cherry on the top, I told that five month thing too.

But I was bounded. By laws. By contract. By secrets And by myself.

I know I say this thing nth number of times to her but it isn't for her to be reminded. It's for me. For me to tell myself that she isn't going to be there forever. I shouldn't even build a castle of sand which will just vanish in thin air in five months.

I know I wasn't answerable to her. Neither she's to me according to the clauses. But anything and everything inside me screamed to tell her that Tanya means nothing to me. Those texts were something that psycho woman sent and obviously she would pay for that.

But that's the thing right. I can make anyone who say such things pay. Legally or illegally. But what about me? What about the things I say? Who would punish me? Yet, I was getting the punishment. Punishment of being ignored.

"Stop sulking bhai. Bhabhi will call you" Aadi spoke as I was packing my suitcase

"Once more I hear this from your mouth, I'm going to cut off your pocket money for three months" I warned and he looked at me with horror.

"Bhabhi needs to come here ASAP. You'll otherwise eat me raw" He whined

"So go and tell that to your bhabhi. Not me" I snapped

"But weren't you leaving after two days" He asked

"Meri marzi (My wish) " I said

"Aapki hi to nahi chal rahi (Yours isn't working) " He mocked

"One month gone" I stated

"What no. Sorry. I didn't mean it" He whined

"Bhai on a serious note, bhabhi makes our home and life lively. She's something" He said with a small smile.

"She really is" I mumbled looking at her clothes in the walk in.

"Where are my hoodies " I muttered looking around but I didn't find any.

"Wh.. Aadi did you steal my hoodies again" I asked

"You would kill me. Abhi to shadi bhi nahi hui. Girl friend bhi nahi bani. Marna thodi hai (I'm not married yet. Not even a girlfriend. I don't want to die) " He dramatized

"I don't have even a single hoodie here" I said

"Stop saying as if you can't buy some more" He told

"Shut up. Wher.. Vrinda" I groaned

"What can my innocent bhabhi do in this too" He frowned

"Innocent? Yes. Open her stories on Instagram" I told and he looked at me then did the same.

And there she was.

"Teri innocent bhabhi (Your innocent sister in law) " I said slapping his head

"Ow. So.. What. She looks cute" He grinned

Well, surely she does.

Without saying a word I packed some stuff and closed the suitcase.

"Wait. You won't say anything to her. I mean you won't kill her. You would've killed me" He again dramatized

"Shut up Aadi" I said and he chuckled

"Jhooti shadi bhi sachi hogyi hai lagta (Fake marriage is now real I think) " He said and this time my neck snapped

"What did you say" I asked and he looked at me then smirked.

" This was a fake marriage right" He questioned

"Rubbish. No" I said

Lie. Yes. It was a fake marriage.

Of five months Abhimaan.

Yes fucking fine. I remember that subconscious .

"Lier" He scoffed

"Aditya" I warned

"You both couldn't answer even two questions with same answer bhai. You can fool Maa a little. Not me. I and mom know that you don't share much to us but come on bhai. I'm your little brother. " He said smiling and I sighed.

"Mom knows" I asked

"Nope" He denied

"Don't open your mouth. And don't even ask any single question. Neither Vrinda should know this that you know. And Vrinda should not know anything. Any single thing " I warned as I opened the handle and took the trolly bag outside the room to the lift.

"Bhai.. " Aadi spoke and I looked at him.

"Is it still a fake marriage" He asked and I looked at him.

"I myself don't know Aadi" I replied as the lift door closed and I went downstairs.

Neil was to meet me at the airport hence I directly drove there.

Aditya's words were ringing in my ears. I looked at my phone and the texts that were still on seen.

The woman who had all the time in the world to talk to mom, Aadi and even Neil but not me.

Not done Wife. I wasn't lying when I said that I would find you from any corner of this world and pull you back to me.

Till we're married.

You forgot to add this like last time.

Ya, fuck off sub conscious.

"There is my sulking tomato" Neil commented

"Bastard" I muttered when he chuckled

"Your hand's fine" I asked

"Shall I punch your face and tell you" He smirked

"You wanna try that" I bet

"I've a wedding man. Come on" He whined

"Why don't you drop her a text writing that she misunderstood you" He asked as we boarded the jet.

"Because that is the half truth. The marriage is not a real marriage. And you know it very well. You were there with me when everything was happening " I snapped

"That's where you're wrong Abhi and I'm sure there's much more to it. I know you aren't opening your mouth but when you are sure of your marriage just tell her everything ." He sighed

"I don't want a lecture on it. And it's your wedding. Asli waali (Real one). Enjoy it. And let me just.. Enjoy your wedding" I said

"Lier. You just want to see your wife" He mocked and I shrugged and turned on my airpods and started to work on a case.

"I'm sending you some files. Get to the IP addresses and share that. And making crunching sounda while eating" I said as I saw him munching lays.

"One can't eat chips without this sound" He replied now munching on them with more voice.

By case I remembered, Vrinda is a damn good lawyer. She's so keen, observant and her way to speak in court is appreciable. That sometimes make me think that what if she gets to know.

Though she didn't speak in court but no doubt she would excel in that. And for sure she's going to handle her first court case here as soon as she come back.

The hard work she has done in this past one month, working days and nights on the cases she was co-working is commendable.

We reached Delhi at somewhat 4 pm and as the jet landed I and Neil looked at each other.

"Home Sweet Home" Neil sang and I rolled my eyes.

We directly left for Neil's home.

Freshening up, bathing we ate something and then slept for a while.

"Let's surprise the women" Neil winked

"Don't tell Vrinda that I'm here." I warned and he smirked.

"Give me this look again and you'll attend your own wedding with a broken limb and teeth" I warned when he chuckled.

We reached Anjali's home and we were about to enter, when my phone rang.

"It's mom. I'll attend the call, you carry on" I told and he nodded going inside where as I went outside.

"Yes mom" I spoke

"I called to just remind you that take Vrinda on shopping tomorrow morning. She still haven't decided her wedding outfit. So you both decide that. And tell her to take something for you, me and Aadi too" She said

"You can tell her the same right" I asked

"Tsch. Ab vaha hai hi tu, to fir tu hi bol dena (You're there right. So you tell her) " She said

"Yeah fine. Bye now" I spoke cutting the call entering inside and saw Anjali grinning at Neil.

Where is she.

"Here. Sammy, now you can roast their heads" The voice which I was dying to hear came into my ears and I looked at the woman.

There she was. In her..actually mine. In my black hoodie.

Fucking Lord. What was this woman doing to me without even looking at me.

"Welcome to the wedding club of mads" She said to Neil who smiled.

"Looking for someone" He asked

"Nope" She said and I sighed.

You're! You won't accept.

"Then what are we waiting for. Let's get ready for the dance" Neil announced

"Wait. Aren't you like tired" She asked

He can dance like mads right now seeing Anjali.

"I'm here since evening Vri. Come on" He told

"Okay so since we've mains here. Vri, come on give me company. Later teach your partner the steps. And if your partner ditch you in middle, I'll give you company on dance night too" The man who was standing there, probably the choreographer winked at Vrinda.

What the hell. How dare he wink at her.
And why the fuck she laughed. This wasn't funny. That man can't wink at her.

And if Vrinda says yes to him, I'll definitely loose my senses right here.

"Nope. I'm fine with solo" Thankfully she denied

"Come on. For now " That man said pulling out a hand.

Enough.

Meri aankhon ke saamne chodho, aage piche idhar udhar kahi bhi kisi or ko aisa karne nahi dunga.

(Not only in front of my eyes but forward, back, here there, k won't let anyone do this).

"Am.. " She was speaking when I walked towards her, her back facing me and I bent down a little.

She's so small. 5'3" where as I , 6'1"  has to obviously bend.

Shortie Wild cat.

"Missed me wife? " I whispered in her ear as a smirk automatically left my lips seeing the hairs on her neck rising.

I do affect her.

She turned and looked at me when I raised a brow .

"I want all my hoodies dry cleaned and ironed" I said and she looked at me shocked yet covered it soon.

"What are you talking about" She asked

"Lies doesn't suit you Mrs. Kapoor" I smirked

"Shut up. And I didn't take any hoodie. It's mine " She said turning to go when I held the hood of the hoodie which made her fall back on me.

"Ouch. Abhimaan" She yelped and I smirked.

" 16 hoodies Vrinda. You didn't even leave one" I said and she glared me.

"Nahi dungi. Kya kar loge (I won't return. What you'll do) " She asked

"I have my own ways to take back what's mine" I said looking into her eyes and she looked at me for a second and then turned again to go when I held her hand and pulled her closer to me.

"Abhimaan. People are watching. Let go off me" She snapped

"Guys, what's happening " That man Sam spoke.

"I'm busy talking to my wife. Is that a problem to you" I snapped getting angry.

"Abhimaan. Behave" She muttered and I unclenched my fist.

"I'm busy talking to my lovely wife. Is there anything with which I can help you. Is that okay now" I mocked and she sighed

"I'm her partner. Life partner as well as dance partner. She doesn't need you" I added glaring that man and he raised a brow.

"Let's get started then shall we Vri" He spoke

"Vrinda. Her name is Vrinda Kapoor" I corrected and he smirked as he winked at Vrinda again.

"What the fu.. " Before I could speak Vrinda smacked her elbow on my chest.

"Lag gayi mujhe itne se, bas khush (I'm hurt my this , happy) " I mocked.

"I'm not dancing with you. I'll do solo" She said

"Oh sure we're giving a performance in our best friends wedding. " I told and taking her hand pulled her near center.

"Why are you here" She asked as the choreographer started telling steps.

"It's Neil's wedding. That's why" I shrugged

"Yeah right. Then go to him. Mera picha chodo (Stop following me) " She muttered

"Guys. Romance later. Focus on steps" Neil said and I glared him when he turned and twirled Anjali.

"I'm a non dancer. If I step on your feet don't blame me" She warned

"What if you do it intentionally" I asked

"Wow. Great idea. Let me go and wear heels" She mocked and I hid my smile.

I won't even deny that I missed this mocking.

"Follow my lead" I whispered and she looked at me as I held her by waist and copied the dance steps.

She was a little imbalanced but catched up soon.

"Or kitni ladkiyon ke saath aise dance kia hai ki itna trained ho (How much kore girls have you danced with that you're this trained) " She asked and I chuckled

"You could've done my taareef (praise) simply too" I said and she looked at me for a second and then stepping aside left the place.

I sighed and looked at Neil and Anjali who looked at me with questioning eyes.

I blinked my eyes and left finding Vrinda.

"Vrinda.. Wait. Vrinda" I called and she looked at me.

"Abhimaan. Stop following me. Go and enjoy wedding of your best friend" She said and I sighed.

"I've nothing do to with Tanya" I spoke and her steps halted. She turned and looked at me.

"I didn't ask" She said

"Come on Vrinda. Stop denying this. I know you read the text. " I told

"Yes I did. But that doesn't concern me. You can go to Tanya, Vanya who so ever you want" She said irritation clear on her face.

"What the fuck Vrinda yar. If I would've wanted to go to her I would've married her not you.
Tu isi choti jehi gal nu kyu ni samajhdi (Why don't you understand this small thing) " I snapped and she looked at me.

For a second she looked at me and then turned wiping her face.

"Ar.. Are you crying" I asked

What the fuck. Since when tears started affecting me.

"Why are you here Abhimaan ? To tell me this" She asked

"Yes. Yes I'm here to tell you this Vrinda. And now turn around. Dare you cry" I warned

"Shut up "  She snapped

"God, stop making it difficult for me Wild cat" I said going near her and she looked at me.

Don't Abhimaan. Don't step near! It's risky. You're risking something you aren't allowed of. You promised  yourself you won't allow this .

"Stop making it impossible for me Abhimaan" She sighed and sat inside the car on driver seat.

"Where's Elliot" I enquired

"On holiday. Any problem" She asked as I opened the door of passanger side.

"First, he can't be on holiday. And I want him right here , right now. And second, where are we leaving" I asked

"He's my bodyguard right. I'm the one to decide. Now are you coming or shall I go alone" She asked starting the car and I sat inside gesturing Lucas to follow.

"Are we fine now" I asked as she drove.

"No. I'll just pass the five months unfine" She said

"Unfine is not even a word. Did you clear IELTS before coming to States" I mocked

"Meri marzi. Tame su problem che (My wish. What's your problem in that) " She snapped

"Kai nathi (Nothing) " I replied and she looked at me

"You know gujrati " She asked

"A little" I replied again

"Abhimaan Kapoor, you're a constant reminder to me of how a Headache looks likes" She mocked and I smirked

"Ghutne dukh rhe honge na tumhare (Your knees must be aching right) " I asked

"What do you mean" She questioned back

"Ab itna zor padta hai dimag pe, to ghutne to dukhenge hi (So much stress on brain so, knees will pain right) " I mocked and she glared me.

"If you mock me once more, I'll not come back to NY ever. Dhundte rehna fir ek or fake biwi apne liye (Keep finding one more fake wife for you) " She warned as she drove and I smirked looking ahead.

I turned on the bluetooth and played the songs.

Ye shaam mastaani,
madahosh kiye jaaye
mujhe door koi khinche,
teri aur liye jaaye .....

Ye shaam mastaani,
madahosh kiye jaaye
mujhe door koi khinche,
teri aur liye jaaye .....

As she drove into a home and parked car, we stepped out and she rang the bell when I spoke.

"Vrinda, If you've plans of what you said, do inform me before hand. I've to shift my whole company here " I said and entered inside as the door opened where as she looked at me constantly.
