Weeks passed, and every day they were closer to Dressrosa. She was still upset that Law had benched her, but she knew he had his reasons.

She was relieving her frustration with target practice, throwing her daggers at what she pretended was Doflamingo. With a grunt, she threw her last dagger into the target, followed by a whistle. She turned around and saw the man of her frustration appear.

Law.

"Remind me not to get on your bad side," He said with a smirk, crossing his arms. (Y/n) rolled her eyes and went to grab her daggers from the target.

"You've been very close to crossing that line..."

"Oh come on, are you still mad that I'm making you stay on the ship?" He moved to take a step towards her but was stopped by 2 daggers, pinning him to the ship wall by his hoodie. He had to admit, her aiming was impeccable, but too close for comfort.

"I think it's stupid and reckless of you to go in there on your own. I can help you"

"(Y/n), we've been over this already..." He pulled her daggers out of his shirt and released himself from the wall "I can't have you there. Doflamingo-"

"Doflamingo could use me to get to you. Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before..." She sighed and crossed her arms

He sighed as well and walked up to her, tilting her head up to look him in the eyes "Believe me, If I didn't care about you I'd be fine with you being out there to help, but I'm not risking the life of someone I..." He trailed off and looked away with a slight blush

"Someone you...?"

"Never mind. The plan is set, I'm going and you're staying here"

"Fine, but if you die because I wasn't there to help, I'll find my way to the underworld myself and give you a good beating"

"Must everything become violent with you?"

"Isn't that what you love about me?" She teased, making him glare lightly with his little blush.

"Don't push it"

"You can't deny that things have changed between us..."

He couldn't. He couldn't deny that the way she looked at him made his heart do flips, or how the wind flowed through her hair, or that he loved her. If he lived through this, he would make her his. He just needed to get through this mission.

"LAND HO!"

Usopp's voice snapped them out of their trance. An island was ahead of them. She and Law ran to the front of the Sunny to see the land they were sailing upon.

She looked at Law who had a serious look on his face. Depending on how this battle goes, this could be her last time seeing him. She felt so many things for him at that moment. Anger, pain, sadness, and love.

Would it be selfish of her to ask him to stay?

She sighed and closed her eyes, the feeling of a hand holding hers made her open them again. She looked at Law as he kept his eyes on the island.

"I can't promise I'll come back..."

Later that evening, Law was in the library, going over the plan once more for himself and mentally preparing for the battle that awaited him. His thoughts were interrupted when someone walked in. The someone who captured his heart.

She didn't say a word as she walked up to him, her face filled with many emotions. She placed her hands on his chest silently, and he held his hands over hers.

"There's nothing I can do to convince you to let me go?"

"You know my answer to that"

"Can I convince you to stay?"

"Nope"

"Not even..." She let her sleeve slip down her shoulder as she looked into his eyes. As cute as it was, he found it amusing that she thought she could change his mind.

"It's amusing how you think seducing me will change my mind. Nice try (Y/n)" He teased with a chuckle, making her pout and move away from him. She took her seat on the table and crossed her arms, looking away from him.

He sighed and walked over to her "I don't know what you expect me to do. I have to do this"

She ignored him, keeping her eyes on anything but him. Law was getting frustrated with her attitude, he didn't want to spend these past few moments arguing.

He cupped her cheek and made her face him "Please...don't just ignore me"

She sighed and looked into his golden eyes. She could tell he felt bad, but that didn't help how she felt. (Y/n) smiled sadly and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm sorry. Let's just enjoy this moment together"

"I have a little something in mind"

The way he smirked at her made her heart flutter. How could he be so hot? Law picked her up and made his way to his bedroom to enjoy this time with her.
