Chapter 2 Drifted into the Sea

"You should have never come here in the first place!" The nurse yelled before exiting out of one of the hospital doors. "No! No! Why!? Please give him back! Give him back! I promise I will leave, please just give him back!" Violetta cried as her son was being taken away from her.

The giant nurse exited the hospital into the outside, cradling Lavender in her strong arms, almost in a surprisingly caring way. The great tall nurse held the baby close to her and whispered; "Everything will be okay... go to sleep... go to sleep." Lavender rested peacefully and soundly in the nurses arms.

After a long thirty-minute walk, the tall nurse finally makes it to a small river in the middle of the forest.

The nurse carefully put down the baby and made a small basket made out of leaves to place the baby in. Leaf by Leaf the nurse tied leaves and connected hundreds of leaves together to make a small tiny basket to place the newborn in. "Goodbye, I'm sorry you lived such a short life... I'm so sorry."

The nurse was almost on the verge of tears. She knew what the other nurse demanded was wrong but in order to keep her job she had to do it, but before closing the basket and placing it in the river to be floated away the great tall nurse took off one of her necklaces and put it on the newborn.

"There you go sweetie... I'm so sorry." The nurse said softly before closing the basket and placing it in the river. The basket slowly drifted away and after a while it disappeared into the forest.
