17 | it takes time

Taeyong was down, hugging his knees while he watches the children trace on their writing booklet. They were holding their pencils and the omega thought it was cute to see how their little hands hold it. His eyes occasionally look at Blue who was focusing on his writing booklet.

He has a small smile on his face while he watches his son. Blue was occasionally looking at River beside, checking his friend's work. Taeyong found it hard not to find Blue cute at everything he does. His deep dimples were something that he wanted to poke sometimes. But mostly, it reminds him of Jaehyun. The alpha who he finds very intimidating at first but knew that he's really kind and sweet.

Taeyong immediately slapped himself mentally. He has a boyfriend. A fake, imaginary boyfriend. It was a cheap move but Jaehyun did fall for it. He felt really guilty about it but what choice does he have? He just can't say they got accidentally bonded. It sounds so wrong.

What will even happen if he did tell the truth? Jaehyun will flip out, that's for sure. He might regret it. Worse, he'll get mad that he might take Blue away. That's not going to happen, will it?

Suddenly, the bell rang that made him to cut his thoughts and a small hand was pulling his sleeve. It was break time.

"Are you okay, papa?" Blue asked.

Taeyong hummed and looked at his son, "Of course, baby. Are you hungry? Papa made you some snacks."

The little prince gasped and enthusiastically nodded. The omega chuckled and booped their noses before he carried him and walked out of the room as the kids have already ran out. Taeyong made his way to sit down where his friends are seated. He made Blue sit on the table, infront of him, as he hears his friends coo at his little prince.

"Awe, he's so cute!" Jungwoo uttered as he waved at Blue to get his attention, "I wanna poke his dimples."

Taeyong grabbed a slice of the sandwich inside the paper bag and gave it to Blue who grabbed it and started eating it. The omega stared with a smile at the baby who was enjoying the food he gave.

"All you need was your son to smile like this?" Taeil asked.

The omega chuckled, "Of course."

"He's really cute though. He got your eyes," Kun said, "But he mostly looks like Jaehyun."

Blue looked at them while he eats and swung his tiny legs. Then he looked back at his papa and gave him the last piece. Taeyong chewed on it while he grabbed another slice and gave it to Blue.

"I heard we'll have a family day anytime this month," Kun said.

Taeyong raised an eyebrow, "Family day?"

"Yeah. Basically, where parents or guardians come and play with their child," the beta answered, "It's voluntary. You guys can join though."

"You'll get to have some bonding with Blue," Taeil said.

"And have some time with Jaehyun," Jungwoo teased.

The omega furrowed his eyebrows as he placed his palms against his son's ears, "Excuse me? I don't have any plans to have Jaehyun to myself," he whispered.

"You know what, you're lying to yourself. That's unhealthy, hyung," the beta uttered with a smirk on his face.

"I already talked about this," Taeyong said, "And I don't want any trouble."

"It's not trouble. You're just overthinking," Jungwoo said, "Love at first sight is a thing."

The omega looked at him.

"Love takes time."

At this point, he's just denying everything. Taeyong just placed his attention on Blue who just finished with his sandwich. The omega took out a tupperware with apple slices. He opened it and let Blue grab a slice to nimble and eat it. Taeyong sweetly smiled at him and Blue smiled back.

"It does. But you can't dent that you'll be able to feel a spark on your first meeting," Jungwoo said, "I don't know about you but I have."

Everyone looked at him with one eyebrow raised. The beta chuckled before he hummed.

"I just met him this morning. I was just, uhm, in a cafe, seated on a table while I'm drinking coffee and doing the plans and such. Then he came in in the most attractive way possible. Ah, and then our eyes met. He gave me a smile and walked towards me when he received his coffee. He asked, 'is this seat taken?' And I said, 'no' then we started talking..."

"You're not making this up, are you?" Taeil asked, cutting the beta from talking.

Jungwoo groaned, "Let me finish. Anyway, we started introducing ourselves to each other and..."

Then it goes on until break time finished.

The class ended and Taeyong was already fixing his stuff. Blue did wait for him, staying on his chair while he does. The omega packed up everything in his bag before he stood and grabbed Blue's small hand to gently pull him out of the room. They walked until they arrived by the gate and wait for Jaehyun there.

Taeyong squatted down to look at his son on his eye level. Blue rubbed his eyes and yawned. The omega chuckled softly.

"Sleepy?" the omega asked.

Blue nodded with a pout. Taeyong pulled the little prince closer then carried him up. He stood where the shade was and started slowly swaying. He rubbed the baby's back and lets Blue's face bury against his neck.

"Take a nap, okay? Daddy will be here soon," Taeyong whispered.

The omega swayed even if the baby was already asleep. Taeyong was looking around, expecting Jaehyun any minute now. But he was enjoying this kind of moment. He didn't do this to Blue when he was a baby so might as well make it up for him right now. It didn't take long until Jaehyun did arrive on time.

The car stopped infront of him. The driver's door opened and saw Jaehyun stepped out of the car. Taeyong immediately felt his heart fluttered at the alpha's smile.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I was late. Is he asleep? He must be heavy," Jaehyun uttered.

Taeyong shook his head, "It's fine. I'll just place him on the backseat."

The alpha went to open the backseat door. The omega tucked a few strands behind his hair before he leaned down and, carefully put Blue on the backseat and put on the seatbelt. Jaehyun did find how attracted he was when Taeyong tucked his hair behind his hair. He practically stared unintentionally.

"You can drop me off just by the street. I'm sure Blue's tired," Taeyong said before he stood back and closed the door softly that it locked.

"I offered you a ride so it's my responsibility to drive you to your apartment safely."

The alpha said then opened the door of the passenger for the omega. Taeyong surrendered before he nodded. He goes to sit inside then had his door closed by the alpha. Jaehyun went around then stepped into the driver's.

Then they realized how their scents filled the car.
