You had left about a year ago on a trip for your job. It was mandatory and you didn't like it because that meant leaving Jenna behind which was the last thing you wanted to do because everything was just getting good between you two then.

You had been invited to a Christmas party by an old friend of yours. Approaching the door as you held a pie in hand with a smile. You lightly knocked on it and just within moments, that old friend was standing in front of you.

"Dude, im so glad you could make it!" He exclaimed as he wrapped his arm around you for a quick embrace.

You two pulled away and he took the pie from your hands, leaving you to close the door and to go mingle with everyone. You first went to the living room and just as you walked in, your name was screamed.

"Y/n!" One of your friends yelled as they came over to you.

You didn't notice, but Jenna's head turned in the direction of your name and she was surprised to see you. It wasn't until you shared a hug with one of your buddies, till you noticed Jenna. You broke from the embrace, then made your way over to her.

You two didn't know what to say, so you both went in for a hug then soon afterwards jenna gestured you to follow her to somewhere more quiet so you two could talk.

"It's been a little bit, huh?" She smiled.

You nodded, "I've missed you jenna."

"Me too.." She trialed off.

You two continued to talk for a little bit longer, then soon enough someone said group photo. So you two reunited with everyone else in the living room. Just like every time, it wasn't just one group photo. You and Jenna did not take your eyes off each other - not even once.

Maybe there was something there still . . ..?
