As I said previously:

As a book club we aim to give feedback to writes who desperately need to know how to make their book better.

We all want good feedback which is constructive criticism, helping us figure out what needs to be fixed.

To make your novels better and sometimes you need someone else, like a proof reader to help you out.

I know how hard it is to find a active one and one who doesn't get filled up easily.

Do not worry, I will do my very best to make sure it never gets too full to the point where you can't join.

I see a lot of comments in book clubs when someone is reviewing and they don't give help or a good strikes feedback. Sometimes if they happen to get feedback it is not always done in the nicest way.

It is okay to put small inline comments as commentary for what you are reading and can we just admit, some people's commentary makes us laugh our heads off. I love putting commentary in others books, even when I am so engrossed in a book I try to get out my reactions.

When you do make any comment on a book you must use the hashtag #LavenderDreamsBC with each comment you make so it is easier for me to have everything organized. It also tells others what book club you are apart of and helps get others to join!

At the end of the chapter I want you to give at least 7+ lines (on the app) or 5+ lines (on the desktop site) of your review of your partners book. The more the merrier!

Please refrain from telling a person what they should do with their book, so instead suggest what they should do. When you suggest something it is much nicer than telling them to change their work. Don't make them feel like what they put if something awful, but try and help them understand from your point of view and how they can make it better.

I understand as a writer you have a choice on how you write, so please don't tell someone how to write their books. I have had that done and I wasn't too happy since I use certain words that is barely used anymore.

Also, don't reply to someone who suggested something with "writers choice" because even though it may be your choice doesn't mean a publisher would let you keep it that way. Try and explain to them why you choose to put it the way you did so they can understand it from your POV.

I understand if you can not take criticism well, because it has taken a long time for me to be able to accept it. It is their opinion, please accept that. You don't have to follow what they say, it is a suggestion but please take it into consideration. Even I have taken advice from others who made good points.

Sometimes others catch mistakes we missed, and as a dyslexic I can say many people has caught things I didn't see no matter how many times I went over. Not to mention telling me things that didn't sound right and they truthfully did but at the time did.

Always be open to hearing what others say even if it isn't what you wish to hear. They are giving their opinions to you form the bottom of their heart to help make things better for you so it is publisher ready if you ever submit it to one.

{ O T H E R I N F O R M A T I O N }

Before you get paired with someone you will be given a test with one of my books I pick out for you. This test will be given to see how well you do and if your comments are up to standards of this book club. You will read three chapters (including prologues) of whichever book I choose and give me feedback as stated in the parings.

At any time if you finish your assignment early and are bored, try finishing up the book I gave for you to test out. Or you can read another book of your partners if you wish because most have more than one book.

You can join as a just a reader if you yourself don't have any books but love to read and need new books to read.

It doesn't matter how many reads, votes or comments your book has, every book is welcome. It doesn't matter if it has won the wattys or any other award, as long as it is your original work it will be fine.

As the admin, I do hope you respect me as well as your partner. No rudeness will be tolerated and it will lead you to get kicked out of this book club. Wattpad shouldn't be a place where people make this app toxic, it would be a place that people want to join.

You can ask to have a certain genres or content because let's admit not everything is everyone's cup a tea. So, do not be afraid to put what you don't like to read and I will do my best to make sure you don't get that unless I have no way to stop that from happening.

If your book has any mature content please tell me and list which chapters it is located on so that it can be forewarned in advance so it doesn't trigger anyone. I would hate for someone to get up upset over some content they are uncomfortable with.

I will be accepting short stories if they are alone and have a very low chapter count and if they are in a book with many short stories. They are just as important as normal novels because lets admit it short stories are really great to read. Though if you have a short story I hope you have more than one because you can submit up to three short stories, more if needed be.

I will not be accepting any books that have lemons in them. I am sorry, but people do not want to read lemons. Especially children under sixteen who should not be reading any acts they can not by law do themselves. It may be silly but I am not going to deal with any of that stuff.

No fandom fanfictions. I am sorry guys but this is for original books and original books that have real life people in them. If you have a oc with a celebrity that is perfectly fine.

You can submit up to two of your books if you wish. Especially if your book has very low chapter count, under ten and you have no plans on updating any time soon. But I would only wish you would submit one book for the time being. It will be easier for me to pair with one book each.

Your book has to be in English. Most people don't speak more than one language and if they do they normally go straight for an English book. How your book can have other languages spoken by in the characters but please make sure you have the translation in English.

Please follow this account and/or my main, whichever you wish though I prefer my main since that is where all my novels are at and I am more active on that account and this one is merely for roleplays.

Your book must have at least six chapters, including prologues and other readable chapters.
Now this may be much to ask but I want to know you are not gonna forget about your book because that would not be good at all. Your book must be updated as much as you can so if you get paired with the same person again they need more chapters to read.
Now if you are unable to get any more chapters for the time being (writers block or personal issues) let me know and add one of your other books as a substitute.

Fill out the whole form and do not leave anything out. I cam deny you if you do not have everything I put in and you do list everything I ask. It isn't too much to ask.

You can at any time swap out your book for another. It can be permanent or temporary to do some editing on your book. Just make sure it tell me and comment the book you want to swap it out with and fill out the major parts of the form you think I need to know in your comment thread of your original book.

{ P A R I N G S }

When you get paired with someone you have exactly a week to get your assignment done. If at any time you can not get it done in a week please ask for an intention so you can be given extra time.

You will each week read three chapters of your partners book. If your major review is really short then I ask you read an extra chapter to make up for that lack of review. (It is okay if you can't think of anything, it is understandable so try as best as you can.)

If you fail to do an assignment before the deadline you will get a strike. Three strikes and you are out of this book club. It is made for active writers. Unless you have a good reason on why you failed, I will accept nothing even I forgot, that won't cut it.

You can ask for an extension if you need more time to finish your assignment but please make sure to tell me. You will get an extra week to finish up the book you need extra time on.

If at any time I am late with posting a new week assignment you can have extra time to get it done. Or you can just sit back and relax. Or even read another book of your partners while you wait for me to post a new assignment.

The max you can be on hiatus is a month and then after that you will be let go until you come back. I won't kick you out for being on hiatus even after the four weeks because who knows what happened. So, you are free to come back once you return from hiatus!

I do not want to hear any complaining from your partner about anything. So try and follow The Golden Rule when doing the assignment and put thought an effort into it please. That is all I ask.

If you are paired with a reader who doesn't have a book listed, be nice and pick any book they have on their profile and read it. You can place comments on it if you wish, votes are required. You also can read the same amount of chapters that they have read from your book. They are kind enough to read your book so it would be really nice if you checked out a book they had that they haven't entered in.

When you are done with your assignments make an inline comment where yours and your partner's name and book are located just like this example:
