L: Cadenza?! What happened?

???: She got in a car accident.

L: Is she ok?!

???: She is in a stable condition, well, she's awake, that is

L: Good.

???: She requests to see you.

Laurance looks back at the room

L: It'll be a few days, but let her know i'm on my way.

???: Will do.

Laurance hangs up and calls Garroth

G: Oh hey Laurance

L: Hey. I'm going on a trip to Meteli and I need you to watch over Aphmau and the kids.

G: Umm... you're not taking them?

L: It's a personal matter

G: Alright. Hey isn't Lucinda in Meteli?

L: I think so.. why?

G: Travis came over earlier thinking I was going to see her. He gave me a potion he made, told me to give it to her. Can you drop it off while there?

L: Uhh yeah sure.

G: Thanks. When are you leaving?

L: In a couple of days. I might have to stay there for a while

G: Ok. I'll be over in a few hours

L: Got it.

Garroth hangs up

A: Hey Laurance! Everything ok?

L: Yeah! Just finished talking to Garroth.

A: Oh... ok. Gene suggested we go watch a movie downstairs

L: Ok. You guys go set up. I have a few things to take care of.

A: Ok. Yeah. Hey you sure your alright? You seem stressed

L: It's nothing. Just something on my mind

A: Ok then. Gene! C'mon! Laurance has a few things to do so we're going to go set up!

Ge: Ok. Let's go then

Gene and Aphmau go downstairs

-Laurance's P.O.V-

I cant tell her about this... she'll insist on coming. She shouldn't have to worry about this. Hopefully Garroth takes care of her while i'm gone... Heh.. I remember.. Garroth used to have a thing for her... did...did I make the right move? Garroth... he seemed more mad when I asked her.. he did a good job hiding it though. Maybe... should I...give him another chance?

Laurance goes in the room and looks at a picture of the three of them

L: Heh..

Laurance hears someone coming up the stairs, turns around, and sees Garroth

G: Hey.

L: Oh! Umm hey Garroth

G: That was from awhile ago... I cant believe she kept it

L: Honestly I'm glad she did.

G: Yeah.. Oh umm here!

Garroth gives him the potion

G: Travis says it's a wolf potion

L: Cool. Has he tested it?

G: He said he did. Just give it to Lucinda when you get the chance

L: I will..

Garroth goes to leave

L: Hey... Garroth?

G: Hm?

L: Do you.. still like Aph?

G: Huh? Where's that coming from?

L: It's just something that's been on my mind.

~Garroth blushes~

G: W-Well... yeah... I never stopped but.. she's with you..she's happy...that's all that matters to me.

Laurance looks down

L: Thanks for telling the truth.

G: Hey, do you feel alright? You normally wouldn't ask something like that. Not to mention the sudden trip to Meteli.

L: I'm fine. It's just to see family.

G: Sure... 

L: What?

G: I don't believe your as ok as you say

L: What do you mean?

G: Well.. that question. Why would you have asked that?

L: I was plain curious

G: Right. Also, why wouldn't you take Aphmau with you to Meteli, then ask ME to take care of her?

L: Well... Gene probably has a job and i'm still questioning about Ein.

G: Laurance. We haven't seen him in years. Something else is bothering you.

L: Garroth, i'm fine. Trust me

G: I do but Laurance, I hear it in your voice. You're not ok and your trying to hide it.

L: It's nothing Garroth.

G: Laurance you can trust me! If it's important to keep it a secret, I wont say a word! I just need to know you're really ok.

L: Why should I tell you? It's not important.

G: It seems to be about Aphmau. Yes. It is important

L: Garroth...not now

Laurance walks downstairs and gets ready to leave

A: Hey Laurance! You ok?

L: I'm fine. Just...something came up

A: Oh. What is it?

L: It's nothing. I just need some time alone

A: Ok... I'm here if you want to talk

L: I know you are..

Laurance leaves

Ge: Is...he ok?

A: I don't know..

Garroth runs downstairs

G: LAURANCE! YOU CANT HIDE IT FROM ME

Garroth runs outside and chases Laurance

A: Umm...? Ok?

Gene holds in laughter

Ge: You think it was Garroth?

A: Probably... Hey did you see Laurance holding something?

Ge: I'm pretty sure, why?

A: I think I recall Garroth having it when he asked where Laurance was

Ge: Ohh I think I know what was going on

A: Hm?

Ge: Garroth probably gave it to him and said something about it, then Laurance mumbled something and Garroth heard it, started questioning him, and Laurance ran off embarrassed.

A: Hahaha... you think?

Ge: It's our best bet, yeah

A: Hehe.. Garroth is a major tease... I can see that happening

Ge: Heh.. so... we're watching it alone then?

A: It appears so.

-With Laurance and Garroth-

G: LAURANCE! GET...BACK HERE!

L: DUDE NOT WITH YOU CHASING ME

They reach Laurance's house and he locks the door and blocks it

G: EITHER GET OUT HERE OR LET ME IN!

L: DUDE JUST GO AWAY! YOU'RE CREEPING ME OUT!

G: THAT'S IT I'M COMING IN

Laurance runs to his room and hears Garroth break down the door

G: Where are you Laurance?

Garroth walks to Cadenza's old room

G: I just want to talk.

Garroth looks around and goes back into the hallway

G: I'm sorry if I scared you. You're just being difficult

Laurance hides under the bed

G: Come on out so we can talk. It's not safe for you to keep it to yourself

Garroth goes into his room

G: You're in here... huh?

Garroth locks the door

G: Now... let's talk. I know you still have that potion. Not like you can do anything with it. If you use it on me, you'll hurt Travis. If you hurt Travis, well, I can only imagine how Aphmau would react

Garroth looks at Laurance's bed

G: No use hiding. If you come out from underneath that bed, I wont be forced to join you

L: Why cant you leave me be?

G: I'm your friend. I pick up on unnatural behavior

L: Yeah but what's with that horror movie mood? You are never THAT creepy.

G: Heh... I thought it worked well with the situation

L: Really!? You were JOKING?!

G: Hehe.. yeah. I wouldn't harm you or anything

L: I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING TO KILL ME!

G: Pftt HAHAHAHA! NO! I mean, I could..

L: NO! NO! Don't even THINK about it

Laurance comes out from under the bed

G: Tsk, fine. Now about your random questioning

L: .....

G: While we were running, I figured most of it out

L: Which is?

G: You KNOW Gene wouldn't choose his job over Aph. Yet you still blame that

L: ....

G: Also when you asked me to "take care of her", I recall watching a movie with you where some guy who liked a girl, said that to another guy before he died

L: ....

G: I don't think you're dying though. You said that for another reason.

L: ....Which is?

G: I haven't gotten that far....but I know YOU have. 

L: Garroth...I don't want to talk about it.

G: *sighs* Fine. I'll let you know when I'VE figured it out

Garroth leaves

L: He would just overreact...or tell Aph, whichever he got to first

Laurance starts packing
