Lauren's pov

We have been in this town for 3 weeks. 3 fucking weeks ago they took Ty from me. Ally tried helping me and was by my side every second when i needed her. 

We both got a job here, to help this.. well now our community. I got a job as a bartender and she is trying to become a doctor here, they said it won't be easy to become one, but it's Ally, she won't give up. 

Today was another night working at this bar serving people their beverages after their long day at work. 

"One beer" said the man, who brought me here, one of the soldiers. 

"Here you go" I said handing him one "Shawn right?" he looked me with a small smile and nodded.

Shawn looked back at someone and sighed, I followed his gaze and it was on a really pretty girl, the one who checked me if I was infected, Camila.

"Is she your girlfriend?'' he quickly turned to me and I saw he was lost not knowing what to answer

"Um-eh" Shawn sighed not looking into my eyes, but instead to his bottle of beer "No, it's just complicated, I and her were just one night stand"

"If it was just one night stand it wouldn't be complicated and you wouldn't be gazing at her this lovingly" I leaned my elbows on the counter 

"I like her, but Camila doesn't like me back instead she has a biggest crush on her co-worker" 

"Who said you couldn't beat him! I mean just look at you, I bet he isn't that hot as you!" He laughed and I smiled, but quickly his laughter died down

"I wish, but I could never beat h---" he couldn't finish his sentence, because the red lights started flashing everywhere and a loud alarm started going off "EVERYONE GET OUT OF TOWN" Shawn shouted and reached out for his gun. Everyone started panicking. Camila came quickly to Shawn and me "Stay with Lauren, okay?"

"What about Y/N and others?" Camila asked looking at him with panic in her eyes

"She will be fine, after all she is Y/N, you get out of here with Lauren" Shawn said and ran out of the building

"What's happening? I have to get my best friend Ally!" 

"I can't tell you and she will be fine, I promise. Come on we need to get out of here" She grabbed my hand and started to run out of the building. As we ran outside then is when I saw all of them. All those infected ones. I don't get it how did they got inside, I thought the walls were secured and everything. 

I don't think I ever ran this fast in my life, we passed people who were on the ground and the infected ones were eating them. It was sad and disgusting at the same time. I felt as my hand slipped away from Camila's and I was lost. I didn't know where to go, I didn't know this town so well and plus I was surrounded by the infected ones.

And that's when I saw him, Ty. His eyes were full black and his skin was light shade of grey. I felt was my eyes started to water. 

"Ty I am so sorry" I said as I started to walking towards him. He ones infected, but I don't care! He is still my boyfriend. When I started to reach out to him, someone shot him, as Ty's body dropped I saw her. The same doctor who took him away from me.

"Are you stupid?!" She shouted at me, but I couldn't move, I was just looking at his now dead body. She started to pull me away from him as much I wanted to fight her and for her to leave me here, she was stronger. 

Now everything was happening to me like in a slow motion movie. Building were burning, alarm and the red lights were still on, people running away from them, solders trying to kill them, some of them  succeeding, some of them failing and then getting eaten and here I was, getting dragged against my will, I know she is saving my life, but maybe I don't want to be saved.

It felt like we were running for ages, but it was around 20 minutes. Now we were in woods walking north. 

"Where are we going?" I asked like 10th time and still no answer. I ran in front of her and stopped her "Where. Are. We. Going? I won't move and won't let you pass until you answer" I said crossing my arms and looking straight into her eyes. Mhm they were kind of beautiful. 

"Then you can stay here and die then Lauren" She said staring into my eyes and then walking around me. Wait how does she know my name? 

"If you know my name, at least let me know yours!" I started following her again.

"It's Y/N' and we are here" She stopped in front of a house that looked quite decent. 

"How will this house help us?" I asked, she didn't answer me once again. Y/N just walked into the house and I followed her once again, because I think I don't have another choice. 

As we walked inside she was greeted with a hug from Camila which lasted quite long if you ask me. I looked around and there were five people with Camila. 

"We need to go look for Ally! She is still there" I stated to Y/N, but she just looked at the ground

"Lauren, we can't go, we need to stay here and wait maybe she will come here with some other soldiers" Camila said to me 

"Well she is my best friend, you can stay here and  wait for someone to show up, but I won't wait!" I stated, Y/N for some reason smiled and pulled her gun, for a second there I thought she will shot me, but she handed me her gun

"Just be careful" I nodded, not knowing what to answer so I just turned around as I about to leave the door opened, Ally with Shawn walked in. Just as I saw her I ran to hug my best friend. 

"Y/N explain what happened" I heard Shawn's voice as I let go of Ally and turned to the small group. This should be interesting.
