Y/N pov

''You are staring at her again'' My best friend Normani says to my ear as I break my gaze from my ex/friend. 

"No, I am looking at that tree over there'' I try to defend myself, but I know it is no use.

"Yeah and that tree has name which is Lauren" she says sipping on her cold tea. I slighty push her and glare at her "C'mon you broke up 3 months ago! And you are the one who decided to be just friends, because you knew that it wouldn't work out" I sigh because Normani is right. 

I and Lauren dated about a year which was great and very stressful at the same time. I loved her, but the spark wasn't there anymore, I know she was really heart broken, started getting drunk and smoking. 

"I just care about her, I don't want anyone to break her heart especially that new girl" I say and look through the window to look at Lauren and the girl.

"Her name is Perrie and she is very nice and pretty if i was gay or bisexual I would smash her too" I quickly turn to Normani and glare at her while she just looks at me and shrugs. I look at Parry or whatever her name is. I can't lie she is actually really gorgeous. "And by the way you are the one who broke Laurens heart'' Normani adds and I couldn't deny that one. 

After all Lauren try to get me back to date her and not even once. And I turned her down every single time. I love her... but just like friend. 

After school I wait by my car for Lauren, I drive her home because we live very close to each other, you know, normal ex/friend to do. 

Few minutes passed and I see Lauren with that Pairie girl holding hands walking out of school. Lauren spots me waiting for her so she says something to another girl and walks to me.

"Hey" I say 

"Hi'' She says and hugs me, I hold her a bit tighter because I miss her, I really do, I miss spending my time with her. After school we would just drive somewhere and forget our problems, I wish we would  do that as friends. But I broke her heart, I understand why we don't spend that much time anymore. "Today Perrie is driving me home and well every other day after school, but thanks Y/N" She says letting go of me and smiling at me. I return a smile and she goes to her new girlfriend I assume.
