Y/N pov

Today was yet another hot day in Miami. I was planning to go to the beach with my brother Jason and few of my best friends.

''Are you ready?'' my brother yelled from downstairs 

''Wait a minute!'' I looked around the room, taking my sunglasses, my towel and taking ''To kill a mockingbird'' . I went downstairs to find my brother, Perrie, Jade and Dinah waiting for me.

''Finally! Let's go to the beach!'' Perrie said in her british accent. You see Perrie and Jade are from U.K. they moved to Miami last year and we have been best friends since. We got into Jason's car and drove to the beach

I laid on my towel reading my book. Dinah was tanning next to me and Jason, Jade and Perrie were in the water.

"People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for."   I was reading until i felt something hitting the back of my head. I heard a girl gasp and Dinah laughing at me. I turned to her and glared, rubbing the back of my head where I assume a ball hit

''I am so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you'' I heard a girls voice behind me. I looked at her and saw the most beautiful girl i have ever seen. She had jet black hair and piercing green eyes. I stood up, giving her a smile

''It's okay, it was an accident'' I said to her and she smiled. She looked at my towel and giggled

''You are reading to kill a mockingbird, it's my favorite book'' 

''Really? I haven't finished it yet so please don't spoil anything to me'' She giggled again and it was so cute!

''Would you like to play volleyball with me and my friends?'' She pointed at her friends who waved at me and I waved back

''Sure! What's your name?'' I asked 

''Lauren and yours?'' 

''Y/N'' I simply said

''A beautiful name for a beautiful girl'' She smirked at me and I felt how my cheeks started to heat up. We walked to her friends and saw them smirk at her. Why are they smirking? 

''I am Normani'' A brown skinned girl said smiling at me

''I am Ally'' a short girl said

''And I am Camila and it's Camiila not Camilla'' a brown haired girl said

''I am Y/N'' I said smiling at them.  After a while Jason, Dinah, Jade and Perrie joined us. I noticed that Normani was staring at Dinah. I think she likes her. They would make a cute couple

It started to get dark and we needed to go home. We all said goodbyes and when I stared to go to the car I heard Lauren

''Wait Y/N!'' I turned to her and smiled

''Yes?'' 

''I almost forgot give me your phone'' I gave her my phone and saw her putting her number into my phone. I smiled at her and she returned the smile. She hugged me and kissed my cheek. I was a bit shocked, but smiled. As she walked away she winked at me

''Y/N! Hurry up!'' I heard Jason yell. I walked to the car and got it. My phone buzzed as I looked at it I saw that Lauren texted me
