Sirius's house, age 18...

Hermione Granger was exploring Grimmauld place. She ended up stopping in the room that held the Black family tree. She looked over all the names and the burnt-out faces of those who had been disowned. But as Hermione turned to leave, she spotted something on the back of the door. 

"Hey Sirius?" she called, confused at what she'd found. 

"Yes?" Sirius asked, coming into the room. After he'd entered, Hermione shut the door and pointed to the drawing on the door. 

"What's this?" she questioned. Sirius smiled faintly and looked at the drawing fondly. He ran his hand over it as he explained. 

"One of my small acts of defiance." he began. "I made this when I was at Hogwarts, and I enchanted it so that my mother couldn't get rid of it. I thought that if this was the room of the Black family tree, then my own family should be on it. So I drew this." he told her. It clicked in Hermione's head. The drawing was a family tree, but unlike the one on the walls, this one didn't have pictures. But it did have one name burnt out beyond recognition. 

"I used code names, just in case." Sirius continued. He pointed to the burnt out spot. "That used to say Wormtail, for Peter. The day after James, Lily, and Anna died, Remus and I burned his name out together." he then pointed to a name joined to the burnt one with a line. Smity, it read. "That one is Lauren's mother, Anna. Her last name was Smithly, so we called her Smity for short." Another name was joined to both Smity and the burnt one. It was underneath the two names. Buckwings, it read. "That's for Lauren. Remus and I used to call her that when she was little. It was a nickname after her love of hippogriffs. Then," he continued, pointing at the name next to Smity. "That's me, Padfoot. Then there's Prongs. That's Harry's dad, of course. And Evans, for Lily. Moony, for Remus and Nymph for Tonks. Then there's Prongslette for Harry and Bluebear for Teddy. I made the enchantment so that any time someone new joins the tree, their name is added as soon as a nickname is given to them." he explained. Hermione nodded in awe. 

"Why Bluebear for Teddy?" she asked. Sirius smiled. 

"That was Remus's idea. Blue because his hair is always blue, and Bear because Teddy. Like a Teddy Bear." he replied. 

"Does Lauren know about this?" she questioned. Sirius nodded. 

"She knows about all of them. It's not the only one. There's one in the Gryffindor boy's dorm, the Shrieking Shack, James and Lily's house in Godric's Hollow, even one in the Hufflepuff common room. We have Anna to thank for that one. Minnie found one once. That didn't end the way we expected it to." he said with a grin.

Lauren's Wedding...

"You wanna fight Potter? Bring it on!" Lauren challenged. 

"No." Harry insisted. It was the reception of Lauren's wedding, and Colin and Sirius watched as Harry and slightly intoxicated Lauren got into a fight. 

"You don't think I can fight you because I'm a girl!" Lauren exclaimed, appalled. 

"No," Harry retorted. "I don't think you can fight because you're wearing a wedding dress. For what it's worth, I don't think Sirius could fight in that dress either." Without even blinking an eye, Sirius glanced up at them. 

"Maybe not. But I would make a radiant bride." he declared dramatically before taking a sip of firewhiskey. Lauren burst out laughing. 

"We can make that dream come true, Sirius." a drunk Remus insisted. "Will you marry me?" Sirius nodded, and they started to plan their wedding as Lauren rolled on the floor with laughter and Harry and Colin watched with amusement. 

"Remus," Tonks said as Sirius and Remus argued over flowers. "A. We're already married. B. We have a son. C. You are planning a non-existent wedding, at your daughter's actual wedding. D. Sirius, you steal my man and I'll shave off your mustache in the middle of the night."she proclaimed. 

Hogwarts, age 16...

It was time to go back to Hogwarts. Lauren sat in the Great Hall and saw Draco Malfoy leave the Slytherin table by himself. It was time to bury the hatchet, Lauren decided. 

"I'll be right back." she told Colin, before following Malfoy out of the Great Hall. When they reached a hallway, and Lauren made certain they were alone, she called out. "Hey Draco!" Malfoy whipped around and glared at her. 

"Come to yell and mock me too? Wouldn't be surprised." he said angrily. 

"No," Lauren said smoothly, walking up to him. "I came to apologize." Draco stared at her in disbelief. "You never wanted to be on Voldemort's side. You just didn't have a choice. And I truly believe that if your parents hadn't said anything on the day of the Battle of Hogwarts, then you would've stayed on Hogwarts's side. I know that you have changed for the better, and I am willing to get to know the new you. So, in order to start over, I want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for misjudging you, for hating you without reason, and, you know, for hitting you in the face with a six thousand paged book that one time." Lauren declared. With that, she held out her hand. Draco stared at her for a moment, as if he didn't believe what she was saying. But when he was certain that she was being honest, he took her hand, and shook it. 

The Burrow, age 30...

Lauren, Colin, Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, George, Percy, Charlie, Bill, Fleur, Molly, Arthur, Remus, Tonks, Audrey, Neville, Luna, and Sirius sat around a table at the Burrow. Around them, James Sirius, Albus Severus, Lily Luna Lauren, Sirius Remus, Anna Molly, Ruby Minerva, Clarice, Frank, Newt, Victorite, Teddy, Dominque, Louis, Molly, Lucy, Fred II, Roxanne, Rose, and Hugo were wrestling and playing with each other. At the table, the subject of the Yule Ball had just come up. 

"The what?" Sirius asked in confusion. Tonks's head whipped around to Lauren. 

"You never told him?" she said in disbelief. Lauren grinned and shook her head. 

"Told me what?" Sirius questioned. 

"The Yule Ball was a dance for the Triwizard Tournament when I was in fourth year and Lauren was in second." Harry explained. 

"Remember how Ron asked out Fleur?" Hermione recalled. Laughter erupted in the group as Ron turned bright red. 

"Wait, what?" Bill demanded. 

"Or how Ginny went with Neville?" Luna replied. More laughs. 

"So, wait. Did you go to this dance?"Sirius questioned, turning to Lauren. She grinned. 

"Yep. Tonks sent me a dress and helped me out." she replied. 

"WHAT!" Remus yelled. 

"WITH WHO?"Sirius demanded. Colin sheepishly raised his hand and Sirius and Remus let out a collective scream and groan mixture as the others laughed. 

"I really need to kill you." Sirius realized out loud. The others laughed, but Colin was still slightly scared as he laughed nervously.
