Laurence's POV:

Kim was about to come over to the house since Garroth and Zane were out hanging with Aaron and Travis. The doorbell rang. I ran over to the door. "Hey Kim." I said, my voice cracking. "H-Hi Laurence." Kim avoided my eye and did not come in. "Um.. Are you okay? You can come in.." I searched her face for emotion but her eyes lacked any hints. "...Okay." She walked inside. My heart raced. "Should I ask her out? I was planning to.." I thought. I sat down on the couch with her. "S-So... Kim.." I stammered. "I-I was wondering if.. if you... wanted... um..." Kim looked at me nervously. I staggered. "Would y-you be my.. um.. girlfriend?" I sputtered. She stared at me and sighed. "I knew you'd ask but I wished you wouldn't." Kim looked up at me for the first time. "I'm sorry Laurence. I'm not ready for a relationship. I'm sorry. I have to go." And she ran out. I sat on the couch. My heart sank. The door swung open. "Hey honey beaaaaar!" Garroth barged in, giggling. He froze, seeing my depressed look. "Laurence! What happened?" He sat down with me. "I asked out Kim and she rejected me." I heaved a massive sigh. Garroth put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a hug. My eyes widen. I felt comforted by Garroth's soothing tone and warm hugs. I smiled. "Thank you Garroth." I looked deeply into his sky blue eyes. His eyes softened. "Of course Laurence." He got up. "Come on, lets go tell Aphmau. She'll know how to help." I nodded and we headed to Aphmau's house.

I knocked on the door. Garroth stood behind me, his hand on my shoulder. Aaron opened the door. "Hey Laurence, hey Garroth." Aphmau came up behind him. "Hi-LAURENCE WHAT'S WRONG!?" Aphmau squeaked and brought us inside and we all sat on the couch. "I asked out Kim and she rejected me." I told them. Aphmau yelped. "Oh Laurence that's awful! I'm so sorry!" Aaron nodded, "Yeah, I'm real sorry Laurence." I looked down. "It's nothing. I don't know why I'm so upset. Ergh man up Laurence!" I bit back another negative comment. I sighed. "Thanks guys. I just really need to go home." And I walked out, looking back seeing them all looking at me.
