~five months later~

~Laurence's P.O.V~

I had bought the house I wanted for me and Y/N. I had moved in about a month ago. Its Halloween and I was setting up my house with Halloween decorations.

After I was done with decorating I went back inside and put the finished cookies in a jar.

I walked over to Garroth's house. I knocked on the door and he opened it.

Garroth: hey Laurence, you know just cause you moved out doesn't mean you have to act like you've never lived here

Laurence: yeah but i don't want to just walk in. What happens if you're having a make out session with some girl?

Garroth: you've got a point

Garroth moved out the way and I walked inside. I helped him set up decorations outside in his backyard when we see Travis coming.

Travis: hey! There you are Laurence

Garroth: Travis?

Travis: sorry for barging in, i think the doorbell is broken or something. Anyway, i wanted to talk to you Garroth but first Laurence you have a visitor at your house waiting for you

Laurence: is there?

Garroth: i don't think its-

I quickly jogged inside and out of his house.

~with Garroth~

Garroth: let's just hope he doesn't get his hopes up

Travis: he just bulted off

Garroth: why did you exactly barge in?

Travis: well, this visitor asked me to find him and I didn't want to keep them waiting oh and there was this person asking around about you guys

Garroth: what do you mean?

Travis: well there was someone asking around the neighborhood about anyone whose visited the Lodge you guys had gone too

Garroth: was it the same person visiting Laurence?

Travis: nah just some person asking around the other day

Garroth: what did they ask?

Travis: they were asking if anyone we knew had gone to the Ro'Meve Lycan lodge up in the mountains a few months ago. Honestly we didn't know the person so we didn't answer but they were really concerned about something that happened there a few months ago

Garroth: they were?

Shoot! Do they know about Y/N and Aaron being the Ultima werewolf?

Travis: Garroth?

Garroth: Yeah?

Travis: something did happen at that lodge. Didn't It?

Garroth: I have no idea what you're talking about

Travis: this has something to do with Aaron and Y/N, doesn't It?

I stayed quiet and looked away.

Travis: come on Garroth! It's been five months since Laurence has gotten back and you don't think anyone on the street has noticed? He's acting weird! Not only that but when you guys came back Aaron and Y/N were suddenly gone! You think we would've seen them to at least get their stuff

Garroth: look man, i need to get a few stuff ready for Halloween tomorrow, and i have to get a few potions from Lucinda

I went inside the house and Travis followed me.

Travis: that's another thing! I over heard Dante talking to Lucinda about getting a potion for Laurence's new house and Lucinda made a HUGE deal about It! Saying not to talk about potions in front of Laurence!

Garroth: Travis, seriously I have time for questions like this right now

Travis: fine, but after all this you'll answer my questions

~back to Laurence~

I ran out of Garroth's house. Maybe it's her! I ran to my house to see a lady with brown hair standing in front of my door. I quietly made my way towards her. Hoping it could be Y/N but once she turned around my hopes went down the drain.

Melissa: thought you could sneak up on me huh?

Laurence: Melissa?

I had totally forget that Melissa is also Y/N's older sister!

Laurence: Melissa! You're here! How is Y/N doing?! Is she awake?!

Melissa: Laurence you have no idea how happy I am that you're asking about Y/N

Laurence: of course! I love her more than anything!

She just stood there.

Laurence: Oh! Sorry, please come in, let me get you something to drink or I don't know. I just want to know how she's doing!

I opened the door and allowed her in after I went in. I closed the dokr behind her and she say on the couch as i went to the kitchen to get something to drink.

I came back with tea and a soda. I gave Melissa her tea.

Melissa: do you mind of I-

Laurence: oh sorry, what type of sandwich do you want?

She laughed.

Melissa: not that

Laurence: huh?

Melissa had werewolf ears and tail. I had my eyes widened.

Melissa: that's better... What is this too much?

Laurence: n-no it's not, its just I never knew about... Y/N being a-

Melissa: werewolf? Ha! Don't worry about it pup! We've been hiding it for as long as we can remember! We mask our scent so  even other werewolves have a hard time telling what we are. To them we're just humans! My mother and I decided to hide our own ears and tails. We didn't feel right to show them since Aaron, Y/N and dad couldn't show theirs. We didn't want them to feel alone so as a family we decided to hide what we were together

Laurence: that must've been hard

Melissa: it wasn't so bad! Over time we just adapted to being humans and just lived as such. You have no idea what would've happened to dad, Aaron and Y/N if people find out about Ultima's. They would never be able to live normal lifes

Laurence: i understand. Looking back on everything, there were signs but-

Melissa: speaking of which I heard the entire story of what happened at the lodge

Laurence: you did?

Melissa: yeah, everything. What both Y/N and Aaron went through. But that's I'm the past! The sad past! I'm not even going to talk about that! Let's forget I ever mentioned it!

She laughed nervously.

I gave her a confused look.

Melissa: let's talk about something else! Um, so you and Y/N, how uh... how did you guys exactly meet?

Laurence: what?

Melissa: i mean i never asked before and you're engaged to her so might as well know how it all started. How you guys became a thing. Y/N was never allowed to have relationships like a normal person. To be honest, i was really upset about that but I reluctantly understood why she wasn't allowed to. So like, tell me how did you become her boyfriend?!

Laurence: uhhh

Melissa: am i coming on too strong? Sorry i just really excited to talk about these kinds of things! I don't normally get to! So tell me! Did you guys still talk in college? How did you guys even hung out when my dad kept a close eye on her? There was no way she was able to have romance with a guy like you!

Laurence: well, we met in a very special way. Outside of the fountain at school. I never knew Y/N would turn out to be my best friend. I was playing Assassins creed online and I met a girl and we never stopped talking after that. Little did I know that when I bumped into Y/N on the second week of school. It was the girl who is my best friend

~flashback~

Later that day when I bumped into the girl. I ran around the school looking for her. I really needed to know her name.

It was lunch break and I saw her sitting on the table by herself playing with her food. I walked up to her and sat in front of her. I stared at her until she noticed me.

She looked at me with uninterested eyes and went back to playing with her food.

Laurence: i never got your name

Y/N: why would you want to know my name? It's not like it's any of your business, i just met you

Laurence: but you already know who i am

Y/N: doesn't mean i want to talk to you

Laurence: but you're talking to me right now

Y/N: cause you won't leave

Laurence: just tell me your name

Y/N: will you leave if i tell you?

Laurence: mmm... Maybe

Y/N: fine, it's Y/N

Laurence: that's cool! I have a friend online who plays Assassins creed with me and her username is Y/N, well not really but it's in her username

Y/N: is it U/N? (Username)

Laurence: yeah, it is. How do you know?

Y/N for her plate and walked away fast.

Laurence: hey! Wait!

She threw her plate away and walked somewhere. I had lost her in the crowd and I sighed.

It's my last hour and I asked the teacher if i could go to the music room to work on my guitar. When i I walked in I heard a beautiful violin playing in one of the practice rooms. I put my backpack down by the board and sat outside the door to listen to it. I decided to text my online friend.

L- I'm in the music room and someone is playing the violin super pretty. Wish i could play it like that

When i sent it i heard a phone receive a text in the room. The person had stopped playing the violin. I got a text and saw that it was my friend.

Y- you're clueless that it makes me want to slap you

I got confused to what she meant.

L- what do you mean?

When i sent the text I heard the phone ring in the room. I stood up and slowly backed away from the door. A person opened the door and it was Y/N. She didn't show any signs of being surprised. I was the only one surprised.

Y/N: I'm the girl you play online with

I was speechless but then i ran at her and engulfed her in a tight hug. She hugged back eventually.

But even then... she still wanted to be alone.

~flashback over~

Melissa: so that's why she was obsessed with that video game!

Laurence: yeah, we met online through it

Melissa: it makes sense! Around that time she became less hostile towards everything. You've known each other for such a long time

Laurence: i love her

Melissa giggled.

Melissa: she loves you too. She just can't stop talking about how much she loves you! It's more than I could ever understand

Laurence: she...wait, you said she cant stop talking about- sh-she's awake?!

Melissa nodded slowly.

Melissa: she woke up about 2 weeks ago! I came here as soon as i could to tell you! Not only that, buuuuuut

She took out a package.

Melissa: she wanted me to give this to you

Laurence: a package? From Y/N?!

Melissa slowly nodded again and have me the package.

Laurence: Melissa, would you mind if I went upstairs and opened this?

Melissa: go right ahead!

I quickly went upstairs and sat on the bed. I got one of Y/N's many pocket knifes and cut open the box. I removed all the styrofoam from the box and see a letter. I opened the letter and Y/N wrote it.

Laurence...

I don't even know if you'll read this.

I'm sorry i never told you what I was. By now i know you should know, i did tell Garroth to tell you... I couldn't tell you cause I was ashamed... I was afraid that you would hate me. You are the one light in my life... and I didn't want to push you away. But I had to for your safety and for mine. You brought me into your world even though I didn't want to at first. Your friends became my family and I was happy to be near you. I wanted so desperately for it to stay that way...

But I forgot what i was.... and everyone had to pay for it. Even my own brother. I'm so sorry...

I hope you are ok. I hope that everyone is ok. Have they been helping you? ...are They watching after you? I can only imagine they are there all the time.

How are Garroth and Zane doing? Are they still talking? Is Lucinda still making potions? What  hope this hasn't stopped her from doing what she loves... how is Aphmau doing? Don't answer that, she loves Aaron so much i can tell she's still waiting for him.

I have so many questions... I just want to talk to you... i miss hearing your voice.

I would do anything just to hear you right now.

Thank you for sending all of the cookies. My mom kept them fresh and they've been delicious. Just like how i always love your cooking. Just knowing you sent them has made this time much easier on me.

I'm... having a hard time right now... but I'll be fine. I miss you Laurence... You are and always will be in my thoughts.

She knows I love Dolphins. I felt tears stream down my face. I really miss her. I'll always have her here.

I put the bandana around my wrist. I went back downstairs and say on the couch.

Laurence: Melissa! I want to see Y/N!

Melissa: huh?!

Laurence: please! Take me to her!

Melissa: Laurence.... She she wanted to see you too

Laurence: what?

Melissa: when she first woke up she tried to leave to see you too. She ended up hurting herself because of that

Laurence: what?! Is she okay?!

Melissa: she's fine, physically that is

Laurence: what do you mean?

Melissa: did Y/N's letter say anything... off?

Laurence: off? No, what do you mean?

Melissa: Y/N was reliving that nightmare. She's been out for 5 months and during it she... She honestly thought she failed at protecting her brother. And she thought she failed as a girlfriend from hiding it from you. In her mind she thought you hated her

Laurence: what? No, i don't hate her at all!

Melissa: i know that. I know for sure now you still love her but she... she thought she lost you. She got messed up badly, she didn't believe what anyone was saying

Laurence: then you have to take me to go see her! Let me go tell her in person that i love her and i want to go see her!

Melissa: Laurence... You have to wait pup, I'm so sorry. Y/N needs this time to recover without hiding who she is. Without the fear of hurting anyone

Laurence: i know, i understand. I said I'd wait. But it's hard when i know she's hurting

Melissa: hey, it's okay. Falcon Claw is beautiful and surrounded by nature. But our home is completely isolated, there is no way you two can call each other or communicate through any computer. Even if there was, people have been asking questions. But, I'll make sure you can at least send things to each other without worry. So if you want, i can take back something you want to send to her

Laurence: really?

Melissa: really

Laurence: hmmm.... I got it! I'll be back!

I ran upstairs into the closet again and pulled out a voice recorder. This thing is super old but whatever. I sat down on my bed and plugged in the earphones andd pressed record.

It took me a few months to think about everything. But, i understand why you couldn't tell me what you were.

Y/N, I love you so much. I'm sorry you had to live with this in your shoulders for so long.

I'm sorry i could never fully understand before. But this would have never driven me away from you. In the past, present, or future it doesn't matter. When you came and told me this, I'll always love you for you Y/N. And that's all I ever wanted to show you. No one hear blames you for what happened. Just know that.

I'm doing fine, everyone here is fine too. Garroth and the guys have definitely been looking after me. They were here for me when i came back, they wanted to make sure I was fine so you wouldn't have to worry.

Garroth and Zane are slowly building their relationship as brothers but they still have a few sibling rivalries. Mostly over food these days. Lucinda is still at it making potions.

An extra thing I wanted to say was I finally bought the house for you and me. So when you come back, I'll have you by my side and see you every morning and night.

I'm also glad you got my cookies. I know you love it when I cook them. Prepare for more cookies cause I'm sending you more, or by the time you hear this, you would be eating them.

I decided to record this message to you. I wanted you to hear my voice. I want you to know that I'm here for you the way you are for me. I'm your partner in crime remember? I'll always be your partner. No matter where you've gone. I love you so much Y/N, my little sunflower. I hope you get better.
