Laurance was sitting at the beach with his best friend, just talking.

Garroth: ahhhh, this is nice

Laurance: i feel you buddy, thanks for asking me to hang out

Garroth: of course Laurance! I've just been really busy hanging out with Zane

Laurance: same, I've been with Y/N just as much

Garroth: understandable, especially after.... all that

Laurance: yeah...

Garroth: uhhh h-hey! Look at this!

Laurance: Garroth, you don't have to do anything stupid to make me happy, I've been doing awesome and having Y/N back really helped, how have you been doing?

Garroth: what do you mean?

Laurance: Aphmau told me you almost lost Zane, and I've been seeing you guys get along, is everything back to normal?

Garroth: no... to be honest I still have nightmares, but the thought of what everyone had went through... even Zane... it still makes me shudder till this day

Laurance: we can talk about it if you like

Garroth: I just feel like I could've been smarter about it. There was so many opportunities to stop what happened, if only I just played attention!... then maybe Y/N wouldn't have been gone for a year

Laurance: it wasn't your fault that she got hurt Garroth, she's always been kind but just never shows it. And I bet you were there for her when she needed you

Garroth: yeah but.. everyone is still dealing with what happened and even till this day I-.... I may just want to think about this alone for a bit longer

Laurance: I get you buddy, I'm your best friend you can always talk to me about anything

Garroth: thanks Laurance

Laurance: wanna build a sand castle?

Garroth: sure

They started gathering up sand and forming it.

Laurance: I'll do the door though, I don't trust you with doors

Garroth giggled and continued to build the top half of the castle.

Y/N, Aaron and their pack were waiting in line at a restaurant.

Maria: aw man! I hear this place is great!

Dottie: I know! I'm excited to try their salad!

Blaze: who goes to a restaurant to eat a salad?

Daniel: Yeah! There's plenty of leaves outside

Aaron: and they're free

Dottie: salads taste better than leafs, I've tried

Y/N: I don't know, it tastes the same to me

Dottie: it doesn't taste the same!

Aaron: *laughs* we're just teasing you Dottie

Blaze, Y/N: we were?

The guy with the waiting lists yells next as the other customer leaves. Y/N stood next to Aaron.

Waiter: uhh

Aaron: hey there! I was wondering, what's the wait time for a table of 7?

Waiter: oh um well you see, this place is full so we won't be able to accommodate you

Y/N: huh? But there's people behind us waiting in line also and not to mention that the brochure said this place accepts walk ins

Waiter: yes, we do. However, we don't accept... um how do I put this... people like you

Aaron: what do you mean?

Waiter: werewolves. We don't accept werewolves in this establishment

Y/N: what?

Blaze: oh you gotta be kidding me! You're one of those places!

Aaron: huh?

Waiter: we have good reasons to be one of those places. Werewolves have made a racus in our establishment before, to rowdy. Can't keep their voices down. I'm sorry but this case I'm gonna have to deny you

Y/N: you can't be serious!

Maria: how dare you! Seriously I'd outta teach you a lesson!

Blaze: I'm with Maria on this one! You shouldn't deny people just because of what they look like!

Y/N: haven't you heard of discrimination?

Aaron: guys! Calm down! I'd like to speak to your manager please

Waiter: *sighs* alright

The waiter leaves and walks into the building.

Dottie: hey Aaron.. Y/N, don't sweat it

Ryland: yeah, we can always find another place to eat

Daniel: this happens sometimes when we go to places

Maria: Yeah! But that never makes it right!

Aaron and Y/N stayed quiet and looked at each other before the waiter came with the manager.

Manager: hello there, how may I help you?

Aaron: yeah uh, one of your employes seem to have an issue with us

Manager: I was made aware of the situation and I'm afraid I must side with my employe

Y/N: what?

Manager: you see, we've had werewolves here before and they did a lot of property damage. It wasn't something we were to fond of

Y/N: well sorry to burst your bubble but that doesn't mean you can assume we're the same way

Aaron: Y/N calm down

Y/N: no! I hope you know werewolves have the ability to be jerks just like any other person. So I wouldn't assume we're all the same if I were you

Blaze: Yeah!

Manager: be that as it may, we are still recovering from the last incident so I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to deny you access to the restaurant

Dottie: seriously?! That's discrimination!

Maria: you better let us in or else!

Manager: already with that attitude

Blaze: I'll show you attitude!

Aaron: enough! Just stop!

Aaron started pushing back Blaze and Maria who were struggling with Aaron's grip. Y/N gave one last glare at the manager before walking after them following the others.

Maria: what was that for?!

Blaze: Yeah! We could've taken them!

Aaron: you shouldn't retaliate that way

Maria: they were being fair! And disrespectful!

Aaron: yes, trust me my blood is boiling that they would discriminate that way. What's even worse is that the manager agreed with that guy

Blaze: it's not like this hasn't happened to us before, but man when it does I just wanna punch someone!

Maria: tell me about it!

Aaron: trust me i get it, but don't you understand they fear us right now. Telling a person we can take them isn't something someone wants to hear, we can't go around saying things like that

Maria: I understand, those guys were jerks

Aaron: I couldn't agree more

Blaze noticed how Y/N was quiet with her arms crossed. She wasn't saying a thing and not even paying attention to their rants and complaining.

Blaze: you okay Y/N?

Y/N didn't respond. Aaron got concerned and tapped her shoulder, getting her out of her trance.

Y/N: yeah I'm fine

Aaron: are you sure?

Y/N: yeah just... don't worry about it, I'm sorry guys

Dottie: it wasn't your fault! It was those jerky humans! You and Aaron just wanted to take us somewhere nice

Ryland: oh hey! Why don't we go back to the boat and have a barbeque! That'll be awesome!

Daniel: I'm down!

Aaron: I'm for that, Y/N?

Y/N: well I am hungry

Maria: let's go then!

They are back on the boat, Y/N sitting next to Blaze on tue beach chairs, Daniel and Ryland in the pool playing with a beach ball, Dottie and Maria sitting on beach chairs next to each other, and Aaron cooking on the grill.

Daniel: aw man I'm boooored

Blaze: I can get you another ball

Daniel groans and pushes the ball to the side.

Daniel: I'm bored of balls!

Aaron: well, you and Ryland did make a mess downstairs, you could go fix it up

Daniel: heh, we don't clean up messes

Y/N: I noticed

Aaron: huh?

Dottie: speak for yourself! I clean! I mean... mostly my fur, my room is kinda a wreck but still!

Maria: yeah that's boring, how about we go to the park after this?

Ryland: the park is closing in a few minutes sooo even if we did go, we'd only be able to wait in one line before we have to leave again

Maria: shoot!

Aaron: well, we could plan out what we could do tomorrow while we sit here, I mean there is a lot that we missed at the park and we could figure out a way to-

Blaze: yeah yeah But! That's what instincts are for!

Aaron: I get that but it wouldn't hurt to-

Blaze: sometimes the moon keeps us up late, not sure if you or Y/N have experienced that yet or not but planning never really works so when it comes to doing things we just follow our instincts

Aaron: that's cool but I kinda rely on both and-

Blaze: don't worry, just trust your instincts. As a werewolf it's what you should do

Y/N: I'm going inside

Y/N got up from her chair and started walking inside but Aaron stopped her and brought her inside away from the other werewolves.

Aaron: what's going on? You've been really quiet even before we went to the restaurant, did something happen?

Y/N: I'm just tired, I'm going to my room

Aaron: Y/N don't hide things from me, we're going through this together as brother and sister so please, what's wrong? I won't say it to mom or dad or even Melissa

Y/N: Aaron.... Laurance wants me to turn him...

Aaron had a surprised look in his eyes.

Aaron: he...what?

Y/N: don't make me repeat it Aaron

Aaron: what are you planning to do?

Y/N: I don't know, I'm still thinking about it but right now I just wanna rest

Aaron: okay, come to me if you need anything

Y/N nodded and went walking towards her room she shares with Laurance. She went down the stairs and saw her mom by the book shelf.

Rachael: Y/N

Y/N: yeah?

Rachael: are you alright?

Y/N: why wouldn't I be?

Rachael: I heard what you guys were talking about, you were a bit quiet about the whole situation and I know that's how you get when you're frustrated, care to talk?

Y/N: I'm just tired of it all, all of it

Rachael: hm?

Y/N: first, people saw us and thought we were trouble and the pack always wants me and Aaron to do something a certain way because that's the way werewolves are. Yeah mom i get it, I'm trying to get used to it but it's like everyone wants me to change to a whole other person now and I hate it, I hate all of this

Rachael: Y/N... they're just trying to help you be you

Y/N: when was i never me? Why does that need to change? Why can't I still be the same person? Look mom, I just wish everything can go back to the way it was before

Rachael: sweety... go get some rest, it'll help clear your mind

Y/N: right...

Y/N walked to her room, opened the door and slammed it shut.

Across the room was Zane who noticed Y/N going in.

Zane: Kawaii-chan! Y/N's back!

Kawaii-chan gasped and jumped off the bed and ran over to Zane.

Zane: but it was just only Y/N

Kawaii-chan: awww

Zane: don't worry, I'll let you know when Laurance comes around

Laurance was walking back from the beach. As he headed for the room he tried to get sand out of his sandels by walking barefoot and hitting his left sandel until the same came off. He made it to the door and left his sandels by the door. He opened the door.

Laurance: hey Y/N, how was you- huh?

Y/N was standing in front of their mirror without her ears and tail. She turned around and faced Laurance.

Y/N: hey Laurance... how do I look?

Laurance: uhh Y/N... are you feeling okay?

Y/N: yeah I'm fine

Laurance: i haven't seen you like this in a while

Y/N: oh, you mean without my ears and tail... yeah..

Laurance walked closer to Y/N and put his hand on her cheek.

Laurance: did something happen?

Y/N: no, I just felt like putting them away

Laurance: Y/N you're not very good at lying

Y/N: ... something did happen, I'm just not sure who i am right now

Laurance: huh?

Y/N: I just wanted to be my old me, just for a minute

Laurance brought her to a hug.

Laurance: Y/N, you are who you make yourself to be

Y/N: yeah i know that it's just hard to explain how I feel. I wish I can help you understand

Laurance: and I wish i understood more. Hey but I do know one thing and with your ears and tail with or without, you are beautiful either way

They were closing in for a kiss until they git interrupted with a knock on their door. Laurance growled quietly and turned towards the door to see Zane walk in.

Laurance: what is it one eye?

Zane: did I interrupt something?

Laurance: yeah... you kinda did

Zane: whatever, I wanted to see if you two were busy..!

Y/N: no we're not really

Zane: perfect! Then uhhh i would like you two to see someone

Y/N: huh?!

Zane took of Kawaii-chan's pink blindfold and started squealing.

Laurance, Y/N: Kawaii-chan?!

Y/N: What is she doing here?!

Zane: she was invited here by Mr. Lycan and before you freak out, she knows about the werewolf thing Y/N. She already pledged not to tell a soul to your father no less

Y/N: well uh this kinda uh, I uh wasn't expecting to see you here

Laurance: I mean, how does everyone keep popping up here?

Kawaii-chan: you two should kiiiiiisss

Laurance: well we were but-

Y/N: shush!

Zane: Kawaii-chan, we talked about this!

Kawaii-chan: kiss kiss kiss kiss

Y/N: is she okay? She's...

Laurance: one eye!

Zane grabbed Kawaii-chan.

Zane: run!

Y/N and Laurance screamed and ran out of the room with Kawaii-chan chasing after them and Zane chasing after Kawaii-chan.

After the incident in the restaurant, Y/N didn't feel comfortable being at the boat.

Laurance walked down the stairs, trying to find Y/N. He pulled out his phone and went through his contacts while walking until he saw a room with a open door and saw Y/N's parents. He hid by the wall next to the door.

Derek: what?!

Rachel: it's exactly like I said, they were discriminated against

Derek: hold up, here...? In starlight?! I think you heard wrong

Rachael: *sighs* no you didn't hear me wrong, Aaron, Y/N and the pack were going to a restaurant in the park. When Aaron asked to be seated they were denied because of the fact that they were werewolves

Laurance: no way...

Derek: that's... disgusting!

Rachael: you don't have to tell me twice

Derek: I'm going to get in contact with the park and make sure this issue is addressed, if they do that to werewolves then that won't stop them from doing it to others!

Rachael: I understand, and im completely supportive of that idea

Derek: was that Aaron and Y/N's first time dealing with that?

Rachael: hmmm I'm not sure. Aaron had issues in high school for being singled out for the way he looks. Y/N, she said she didn't really like talking to the kids there so none of them would talk to her

Derek: hm... He would bring it up if it bothered him, not sure about Y/N though but we'll leave it at that for now. I'm sure if they heard about a report being filed would help

Rachael: indeed

Laurance: Y/N didn't even tell me about this

Laurance walked away. Laurance was in their room sitting on the side of the bed with his hands in his hair.

Laurance: I dont understand... why would a restaurant not let werewolves in? They sound like huge jerks, and if they hurt Y/N in any way I'll be furious. Still she didn't mention any of it and then...

~flashback~

Y/N was standing in front of their mirror without her ears and tail. She turned around and faced Laurance.

Y/N: hey Laurance... how do I look?

~flashback over~

Laurance: that must be why she hid her ears and tail.

~flashback~

Laurence: alright but before we go, i was thinking we could have a little fun

Laurence smirked as he reached for his pocket and pulled out a green tennis ball.

~flashback over~

Laurance: and then there's me. I haven't done much to even begin to understand Y/N more. But maybe...

Laurance stood up and walked over to the book shelf next to the fish tank and started looking through their books. He pulled out a book.

Laurance: I need to learn

After reading for a while he couldn't find anything. He got frustrated and put the book back on the shelf. He went to his luggage and found his fake green ears and tail. He put them on and looked at himself in the mirror.

Laurance: and when the sun sets and the days over, I'm not going to understand at all... not this way

He took off his ears and tail and threw them on the floor and sat on his bed again.

Laurance: I guess part of me feels like a complete disappointment. I've had my experiences dealing with jerks... I was even one before to Y/N. There's jerks who judge you for their own reason so why can't i... why can't I use that to help her. Am I just too excited about her being different or is it excitement that's causing me to be ignorant?

Laurance took out a journal with notes he wrote down.

Laurance: these notes are all about werewolves and yet I feel like it hasn't even helped. Is it because she's not the same..? That's why, and I should've seen that sooner! I need to let her know quick

Y/N walked in the room and saw Laurance sitting on the bed.

Y/N: hey babe I uh wanted to talk to you

Laurance: sure

Y/N: I think I'm gonna go back to the resort with Aaron, at least just for a little bit

Laurance: is there a reason?

Y/N: I just need a break right now just to collect my thoughts. To be honest, having everyone aroundhas just been so much lately. I need a breather from everyone

Laurance: that's fine, I understand

Y/N: i won't be gone for long, and if anything Aaron will be there. I'm gonna go let my parents know if Aaron hasn't

Laurance: right

Y/N walked out of the room leaving Laurance in the room alone.

Laurance: she needs to know what I'm thinking. I won't bring her down! This is about her and only her

Y/N was at the docks with Aaron and Aphmau. They had gone on the boat leaving Y/N on the pier checking all of her belongings. She heard panting behind her and saw Laurance running down the pier.

Laurance: Y/N! Wait!

Once Laurance caught up with Y/N he bent over and tried to regain his breathe.

Laurance: Y/N.... There's.... something... I need to say to you

Y/N stood quiet and stared at Laurance.

Laurance: I'm sorry for being a stupid ignorant asshole (*gasp* Laurance!)

Y/N: what?

Laurance: I over heard about what happened with you and the pack at the park and it made me realise a few things. One, I've been treating you like everyone else and even though I had no ill intent, it was no better. I didn't treat you like you and for that I'm so sorry! I haven't admitted this but I have been having a hard time getting used to the new you and I'm afraid that I don't know what you like and I'm afraid... that things changed more than I realized. That's why I'm defaulting and I shouldn't be doing that, I'm sorry. Two, I realized that you are experiencing things for the first time. I've known you since high school and even though we didn't talk for years, I still felt you were apart of me and that one day we would have met again. I've known you as Y/N, not Y/N the human or Y/N the werewolf or Y/N the Ultima. Just Y/N... well Y/N Lycan but soon it'll be Y/N Zvhal, man that sounds goo- anyways, I'm sorry I forgot that. I won't ever understand what you're going through but I want to make myself open to you

Y/N had small tears in the corner of her eyes.

Laurance: and with that.. Y/N, I can understand if you say no to this but can I come back to the resort with you? I don't want to ruin your time alone but-

Y/N: Laurance... thank you. One, I really needed to hear that from someone close to me, you have no idea. It's really hard for me to accept what's going on  but i needed that. And two, how could I say no to you coming with me? I could never say no to a cute tanned face like yours

Laurance: so... it's not sexy?

Y/N sighed.

Y/N: it's very sexy

Laurance did his sassy hair flip and smirked at Y/N.

Y/N: I'll let you know the things im comfortable and not comfortable with. What i do like is that sassy hair flip of yours

Laurance: well I'm glad you do M'lady. I'll be here and work with you all the way

Y/N: let's go then

Laurance: oh! Uh, my bag I couldn't find it anywhere and-

Y/N grabbed a green luggage and placed it in front of her.

Laurance: so that's where it went!

Y/N: whoops, I guess I really wanted you with me. But im glad you realised these things on your own

Laurance: come on sunflower, the boat awaits

The boat had finally arrived at the resort. The group of four got off the boat and started walking towards their house. Once they made it they saw a guy standing in front of the front door with a basket in his left hand.

Once they talked to him they went inside the house. Y/N changed into her bathing suit and Aaron took off his shirt and they sat on the roof pool while Laurance was helping Aphmau with the food.

Laurance snuck up behind Y/N and wrapped his arms around her.

Y/N: sorry about breaking the window, I sometimes dont know my own strength

Laurance: it's fine Y/N, this is gonna be your relaxation time so whatever you need I'll get it and do it for you

Y/N: you know we technically do have this place to ourselves, Aaron and Aphmau don't seem to notice us here

Aaron: we can hear you ya know

Y/N: see? They forgot we're here

Laurance: well let's go inside, I set up the tv in our room

Y/N nodded and got out of the pool. She looked over to Aaron and he winked at her. Y/N rolled her eyes and walked after Laurance back inside.

They walked inside their room and on the bed layed a tray of Y/N's favorite cookies, favorite chips and soda. The tv had Netflix on and there was rose pedals all over the floor and bed sheets.

Y/N: this isn't some kind of Netflix and chill right?

Laurance: that wasn't the intention but now that you mention it-

Y/N: don't even think about it

Laurance pouted and Y/N sat on the bed and started picking a movie.

They were both half asleep while watching Teenage mutant ninja turtles. Y/N had finished all her chips and was hugging Limey, Laurance's green dolphin plush. She had her head resting on his shoulder and his arm around Y/N.

Laurance: hey Y/N...

Y/N: yeah..?

Laurance: I know i promised I wouldn't ask again but.... I wanna be like you. I wanna understand with you, I want to understand the pain that you're going through. Without me being a werewolf, there's no way I would truly understand. So please can yo-

Y/N: I've been thinking about Laurance, and I'll give you my answer when I'm ready

Laurance smiled and kissed the top of her head.

Laurance: you can take as long as you want. I love you

Y/N looked up at him and smiled.

Y/N: I love you too

Laurance: why can't you just turn me into a werewolf already Emma! I swear!

Me: hey hey slow your stripes, it's Y/N's decision if she wants to turn you not mine

Laurance: you're the one who's writing It!

Me: Irene Laurance, shut up in trying to give a proper goodbye to the readers

Laurance: I think I'm supposed to be first priority since this is called Laurance's year!

Me: .....
