~two months later~

~Third P.O.V~

Garroth was walking to his house holding a bag of groceries. He walked inside the house and put it next to a plant on the counter. Zane came down from the stairs.

Zane: Garroth! There's one hour left! Did you call everyone?!

Garroth: yup! I called everyone!

Zane: what about her groceries! Did you finish the list?!

Garroth: absolutely! I couldn't forget that one since you, Kim, Lucinda and I made it together

Zane: Good!

Garroth: did you get the balloons?

Zane: ah! The balloons! I completely forgot! I was too busy trying to get this button to work!

Garroth: *giggles* dont worry about it little bro. I got your back! See?

Garroth took out the bag of balloons. 

Garroth: i made sure to grab some just in case

Zane: Garroth your a life saver!

Garroth does his oh so cute giggle.

Garroth: oh by the way, are you going to wear that... mask with that shirt?

Zane: uhh I mean i always wear a mask

Garroth: i know it's just... They clash. Here let's go and make something to compliment your outfit

Zane: but she'll be here in an hour! We need to help with the set up!

Garroth: Lucinda and Kim are doing that. We just have to make sure we're ready ourselves. You want to look good don't you?

Zane: I mean i don't care but I don't want Aphmau to worry about me

Garroth: exactly! When she gets home let's show her that you're doing fine! Come on! Upstairs! Let's get you looking good!

They went upstairs and were trying on different outfits until Zane got curious.

Zane: hey Garroth

Garroth: yes little bro?

Zane: have you heard from Laurence? Like how he's doing, where he Is? Anything?

Garroth: actually he called me this morning saying that he was coming today

Zane: let's get him in the welcome ho-

Garroth: no, he may have gone with his parents at the cabin but poor guy must have been crying his eyes out during the 2 months that he had left

Zane: i can only imagine

~Laurence's P.O.V~

I was in the car with my dad driving. I was wearing the green sweater and had the hoodie over my head. I was looking out the window until i realized my dad had stopped the car on the side of the road.

Hayden: how are you holding up Laurence?

I didn't look at my dad. I had bags under my eyes, haven't been able to get any sleep. These nights have been sleepless. I couldn't even close my eyes without seeing her in my head.

Laurence: I'm fine dad...

Hayden: you still look very tired

I didn't say anything.

Hayden: did you get another nightmare again?

Laurence: no

I wasn't there to witness everything. But seeing my baby girl on that bed with scratches all over her just... I had nightmares about her dying in my arms. Her disappearing out of my very grasp.

Hayden: Laurence... Y/N's father said you can see her next summer

I ignored him and continued to look out the window. It's like my tears refill every 5 minutes cause when I stop crying. I think of her again and I start sobbing.

Hayden: her father's letter said she was still unconscious but they're taking care of her and-

Laurence: dad just stop.... please... I just want to go back to the house

Hayden: alright then, this is your choice. Besides all your friends are there to help you through this! To be honest Laurence, they will notice how tired you are. I don't want them to ask questions about why you're losing sleep

I pulled the hoodie more over my head where it covered my eyes.

Laurence: i can hide it dad.

Hayden: can you even see where you'll go?

Laurence: i just have to look down. I'll get used to it

Hayden: alright, let's get you home then

Dad started the car again and we started driving off.

We had arrived at my house and i saw Garroth and everyone else outside Aphmau's house. They were cleaning up balloons and I don't know what else. I got my suitcase out of the trunk of thr car and closed it. My dad drove off and I walked towards the house.

Dante: Laurence my man! You're back!

Travis: man Laurence we haven't heard from you at all! Where you've been buddy? And where's Y/N? I thought you were with her

Laurence: she had some business thing to do with her family. It's complicated, she's coming back next summer

Dante: really? That doesn't sound like her to do business work for her family

Travis: yeah Laurence are you sure you're okay?

Laurence: I'm fine, i just-

Garroth: Laurence! Buddy! I'm glad you're here

Garroth gave me a tight squeezing hug. I slowly pat his back and he let go.

Garroth: let's go inside! I kept your room clean!

I waved goodbye at Travis and Dante and walked inside the house.

I put my suitcase on the floor next to the couch.

I looked around and noticed the house still looked the same. I picked up my suitcase and went upstairs to my room.

I unpacked everything and put everything back where it belongs. I took off my jacket and put it on my bed. I heard someone walk in and I knew it was Garroth.

Garroth: hey Laurence

I stayed quiet and just looked at my jacket.

Garroth: me, Zane, Travis and Dante helped keep your room clean. Laurence we all want to help you through this. Me, Zane, Aphmau and Lucinda

Garroth kept talking but I ignored him and remembered Y/N again. 

Y/N: I'm not going anywhere. I would never leave you Laurence

Y/N: how can you possibly say you love me if you always try to go for Aphmau?! All you've done in my life is play with my emotions!

Y/N: all that happened back in high school stays in the past. You and me started new. I love you Laurence and i always will, no matter what happens to me

You promised me you would never leave me Y/N.... please be okay my sunflower.

Garroth: Laurence... you're crying...

I wiped my tears away with my hand.

Laurence: Garroth?

Garroth: yeah?

Laurence: i want to buy a house here in the street. I want to have a house ready for Y/N for when she comes back

Garroth: sure, I'll tell my dad you'll want to buy a house

I put the jacket back on and covered my eyes with the hoodie.

I will wait for you Y/N. I promise you that i will.

Garroth: just get settled in for now Laurence

I nodded and he left my room. I quietly closed the door and locked it. I look around my room and sit down on my bed.

Laurence: it's been 2 months now... I still have nightmares.

~with Garroth~

Garroth was in the kitchen making food for Laurence. He had heard the door knocking and went to go open it. When he opened it he saw Dante.

Dante: hey Garroth! Can I come in?

Garroth: yeah sure man! Help me make Laurence food!

They started making food until Dante got curious.

Dante: Garroth... what happened to Y/N?

Garroth got nervous and had his back facing Dante.

Garroth: nothing at all! Just a business trip with Aaron and her parents for a while!

Dante: Garroth... I can tell that Laurence is not doing well at all. He's not being goofy like usual, or smiling. Y/N always made him happy but he's not being happy right now

Garroth: Y/N didn't break up with him

Dante: this isnt about them breaking up or not Garroth. I know very well that Y/N wouldn't leave him! But if she's gone then what the hell happened to her?!

~flashback~

Garroth had Y/N in his arms. Her lifeless, cold, limb body with her eyes blank.

Garroth: she isnt breathing!

Aphmau: Aaron isn't breathing either! He isn't breathing!

Garroth tried putting pressure on Y/N but not worked.

Garroth: Y/N! Please! Wake up!

Lucinda: Garroth put her on the ground and stand back!

Lucinda has frozen both Aaron and Y/N's bodies.

Garroth: what did you do?!

Lucinda: this will keep them safe, it'll buy us time. We need to get them back to the lodge and call for help!

Aphmau was crying while in between Aaron and Y/N.

Aphmau: Aaron, Y/N please!!

~flashback over~

Garroth had a little bit of tears in his eyes.

Garroth: Y/N.... Y/N she...

Dante: Y/N isn't okay... is she? Garroth you are my friend you better not lie to me!

Garroth: Y/N was trying to protect Aaron from getting hurt and Y/N ended up getting hurt more than Aaron... badly...

Dante: is she going to die?

Garroth: No! I don't think so. Dante please, please don't tell anyone else what i just told you. I'm trusting you Dante

Dante: i got you man, i promise. I feel better knowing, that way i can see how u can help Laurence in any way

Garroth: thank you Dante

~back to Laurence~

I was looking through my cabinets and saw Y/N's bandana from when we graduated. She has worn one that day and she gave it to me when i have her the jacket. It's a black one, i put it around my eyes and everything was hard to see but I could manage. I looked deeper in the cabinet and saw a picture from freshman year.

Garroth took this picture of us after we bumped into each other. She had a real attitude back then. She wouldn't ever talk to anyone but me. She tried to avoid me most of the time especially when she was mad. I remember she was also part of the werewolf class. At first I never knew why but now....

~flashback~

I was walking with Garroth as we were talking selfies when I bumped into this girl with H/C. We both fell down on our butts.

Y/N: hey! Watch where you're going!

Laurence: sorry! Here let me help you up

I got up quickly and tried to help me but she slapped my hand away.

Y/N: i don't need help from a Shadow knight member

She stood up and dusted her skirt. She straighten herself and put her hands on her hips. She started walking until I saw Garroth hold up the phone.

Laurence: by the way, my name's Laurence!

Y/N: yeah, i know who you are Zvahl!

I smiled as she walked away with her hands in her pockets.

~flashback over~

This was the second month of high school. The first photo taken together. In all the high school pictures she was always serious.... was she suffering back then too? She was always alone or she wanted to be. Even when Aaron was there she wanted to be alone. She waited for me.... to be with me. If she can wait for me then i can wait for her... I can.

I walked to my table next to my bed and placed it on there. I walked down the stairs and see Garroth and Dante making food.

Dante: Laurence! Like your bandana, kind of looks like-

Garroth: we're not done with food yet, it'll be ready in a minute. We're making F/F (fav food).

Laurence: is it alright if i help you guys?

Dante: really you want to help?

Laurence: yeah, i am hungry. After lunch I want to make F/C (FAVORITE COOKIES)

Garroth: you're going to bake?

Laurence: yeah, it's Y/N's favorite. I wanted to send them to Y/N's parents so they can give it to her. So when she wakes up-

Dante: yeah Laurence let's do It! She did love those cookies, obsessed with it at some point. Do you have a way to make them?

Laurence: yeah, actually I have the recipe. I'll go get it

I went back upstairs to my room and looked through my closet. I found it on a shelf next to the stuffed animal she gave me, it was green Dolphin. I will make these cookies for her all the time when I buy the house, and when i see her.
