(Y/n) opened her front door. What she got wasn't a welcome home, "Get in here you useless mess up." A female slurred. The (h/c) teen followed the voice into the kitchen. "Hello (Y/n)," The woman smiled, showing off her browning teeth.
   "Hello Mother," the teen glanced at her guardian. "What may I do for you?"
   "Make my dinner," the woman tossed a knife in her general direction. It missed, but the teen still flinched. "Smile you useless child!"
   (Y/n) didn't make a move to try and smile. She glared at her mother. The woman kept talking about how she ruined her life. How the teen should never have been born.
   The teen finished her chore and quickly escaped to her safe haven. The attic.
   "Finally," she sighed. "Free from my mother." She sat on her bed only to hear something tap her window.
   She looked up to find the cat from earlier there. She let it in and felt a small spark of hope in her heart. The cat meowed and she almost smiled when a sound of shattering glass on her door made her jump.
   "Fudge," she whispered. "Mother is completely drunk. You should go Chess. She will kill you if she finds you." The cat seemed to understand and quickly escaped. "Bye Cheshire."
   "(Y/N) GET DOWN HERE," the teen flinched in fear.

    (Outside the attic window)

   A black and white clown gently set a blood red and black cat down on a windowsill. He smiled, showing off his sharp white teeth.
   He watched the teen through the window as she gently called the cat to her. He watched with teen as a light lit in her glacier (e/c) eyes. Then glass shattered making the teen jump.
   'Damn it,' he growled.
   "Fudge," she whispered. "Mother is completely drunk. You should go Chess. She will kill you if she finds you." The cat gently jumped into the waiting clowns arms. "Bye Cheshire," she called.
   "(Y/N) GET DOWN HERE," the teen flinched in fear. The clown frowned as he followed her with his pale eyes.
   'That light,' he growled. 'That woman stole her light.' He floated down to the browning grass. The slight chill in the air didn't bother him as he watched what was happening in the kitchen window.
