"You look horrible man" Namjoon said. They were both in Jungkook's house, his parents weren't there for the weekend and he was left alone with Tako, so he invited his best friend over to hang out. The thing is, there hasn't been much hanging out so far.
"Do I?" Jungkook lazily replied, not bothering to look at him.
"Is that a beer?"
"There's more in the fridge"
"But how many have you had already?" Namjoon asked.
"There's enough don't worry"
"Jungkook"
"4 maybe 5" he replied, bringing the glass bottle up to his lips and taking a long sip.
"It's 6pm dude... the sun doesn't set another two hours" Namjoon wasn't the judgemental type, especially not when it comes to alcohol, but he might have judged his friend a little bit just now.
"Since when are you the beer police" Jungkook scoffed, not moving his eyes from the view of his neighborhood. This balcony wasn't as nice as the one in his college studio, but it was good enough for this moment right now, when he just wanted some quiet and peace to numb his thoughts.
"Since you look like you haven't slept or eaten in days" Namjoon knew something was up, he knew Jungkook too well not to notice.
The group did see the way him and Jimin acted around each other and were all sure they got a bit closer than best friends would. It didn't bother Namjoon himself, he's known of Jungkook's preferences for a while and wasn't surprised he had an eye for Jimin.
"Don't know what you're talking about"
"Well... The other day I texted Jimin and he thought you were being MIA" he said, deciding to grab a beer for himself and join the other where he stood.
"You're in my house Joon, I'm not doing a great job if that's true" Jungkook replied, setting the empty bottle on the ledge.
"Then should we invite Jimin over too?" Namjoon suggested.
"No"
"So you're avoiding him"
"Mind your business" Jungkook looked away in disinterest.
"I've known you for years Kook, and you've avoided me before. I know what it looks like when I see it" he added.
"So what if I'm avoiding him"
"All I'm saying is it's doing you no good. Whatever it is, I'm sure you can talk it out together" he tried, he didn't like seeing his best friend drinking so recklessly and mixing day with night, it was his duty to look out for him.
"We can't Joon, whatever we had... I can't do it" he declined.
"What's wrong? Everything looked fine"
"I'm what's wrong. I'm still not totally over Lisa man, and I don't know how to do it" Jungkook finally admitted.
"...Did you tell Jimin this?" he paused a little before asking.
"Yeah last week, I can't lead him on if I'm not sure I feel nothing for her anymore" he replied, taking his last sip from the bottle before settling it on the ground.
"And what did he say" Namjoon asked again, watching his friend sigh deeply and close his eyes for a moment.
"The look on his face" he clicked his tongue, "I hated every part of that conversation, I hated seeing him so hurt" Jungkook added.
"It must've been harsh, but honestly I think you made the right choice... You're not someone who can juggle emotions very well"
"What does that mean"
"You generally need to focus on one thing at a time. When you had problems with Lisa you had to put your all into your relationship, and not being able to do that left you confused and stressed. I think that's why you distanced yourself every now and then...It's also why I never really held it against you until it became concerning"
"You think I can get better at it? It's crippling at this point"
"Maybe it's because you bottle things up. You try to figure everything out yourself and it takes longer because you never get help from outsider friends"
"It's also so exhausting"
"I've always offered to listen if you ever wanna talk about things, I'm glad you're finally opening up man"
"Thanks for sticking with me Joon, I know I let you down when you needed me before"
"It's all good buddy, I didn't need you that bad" he joked.
The alcohol was getting to his head now, I could use a cigarette, he thought, but still felt no desire to smoke. You may call it a force of habit because he wasn't willing to ruin his lungs again, yet that's the first thing he ever thought of these days. Not smoking just keeps reminding me of who got me to quit, his smile and his chuckle as he handed my the lollipops.
"You good there?" Namjoon asked, making himself known again.
"Yeah, let's go back in?" he suggested, starting to walk towards the bed.
Silence and music really rivalled one another lately, he was equally attracted to the ideas of losing himself in someone else's world or wallowing in his own. He let Namjoon choose the music and wasn't surprised when he played a track from Donda; Moon. At least it fit his current state of mind.
He hummed as he listened, barely able to focus on objects around him. His vision was hazy and his mind even more, the only thing somewhat taking form was the trailing pink hair and pearly white smile behind his closed eyelids. Pretty cupcake, he thought. He tried to shake the images off but they persisted, now accompanied with a fit of sweet giggles.
The sound of two different notifications interrupted the music and made the boys look at their phones. It looked like someone sent a text? He didn't read the writing but clicked the pop-up anyway. His eyes blinked a couple times but amongst the usernames he read, only one caught his attention. The texts were coming in fast and his dazed state didn't allow him to read what Jimin wrote.
"Fuck, where did it..." he breathed out as he scrolled up to find the message again.
Chim
Alright guys I've just accepted Alford's offer
I'm going to AUC!
He blamed his intoxicated brain for not allowing him to comprehend the sentence the first few times. He let his mind go back to the weekend Jimin spent with him studying and working for his exams non-stop. He remembered the bright smile Jimin gave him when he pecked his cheek. Right, I should congratulate him, this is a big step for the kiddo.
Suga

"Where's that celebrating emoji" he huffed as he brought his screen impossibly close to his face, blinking and doing his best to see through the doubled icons.
"Just give up" Joon scoffed.
"Where's the support when I need it huh?" Jungkook clicked his tongue.
"Alright, do you" he shrugged.

Jeon009

TaeTae
A volcano
Cool
"Ohh...shit" he mumbled, a lazy fit of giggles leaving his throat as he buried his face in his bed.
The sunset was seeping through his window, lighting up the room in a bright orange hue, and soon enough Namjoon had to go, leaving him in the loneliness of his own company.
The laugh and giggles quieted as the room was getting darker, and Jungkook's world seemed to have gotten a little more dim that evening. He couldn't help it when a tear slid down the side of his face.
How is this the least selfish thing I've done yet the one I feel worst for.
---
Suga
Obviously I have to ask
You two don't even interact on the chat anymore
Chim
And that's a problem?
Suga
It's not a problem

Suga
The thing is
Even if you guys got together
Would you be willing to go through a long distance relationship?
Chim
I don't know
It can't be that hard
We would barely be two hours away from eo
Suga
Idk...
Idk if long distance works well for a fresh relationship
It may seem easy but you can't control how you feel about someone you barely see
Chim
Yeah I get that
Suga
Maybe this is for the best
Chim
Anyway...
We meet on Saturday for Tae's drive?
Suga
He said Saturday?
I hope we don't die
Chim
I've seen him drive he seems confident
Suga
I don't trust the drivers in that family in general
Chim
Lol
Saturday came, and the group gathered for Tae's first drive in the city. As one would expect, his first time driving alone wasn't very smooth and Namjoon had to take the wheel after a couple times of almost crashing into either a wall or a vehicle.
"Alright buddy, sit in the back I'll take over" he announced, taking his place and buckling the seat belt.
"That wasn't even my fault, the dude totally couldn't use a car" Tae complained as he climbed the back of the truck and sat by his friends.
"Thank God you're driving Joon I thought I was gonna die" Jin complained beside him in the passenger seat.
Everyone looked like they were having a good time, Jimin included, but he couldn't help but wonder what Jungkook was doing since he wasn't there. He knew the older wouldn't show up because of what they agreed on, but maybe he missed him a little already.
A week turned to two, four, six, without seeing the college boy. Jimin accidentally found out that Jungkook did hangout with the rest when he wasn't there, and even though it stung, he was still glad the older wasn't alone the whole time.
"It's so hot today" Tae complained while they took some groceries inside Jimin's house.
"Thank you boys" Jen smiled, starting to pull out the fruits and vegetables.
"I would love a swim right now" Namjoon agreed.
"Jin and Hobi must be living the life back in their town, I head Jin's house has a pool in it" Yoongi said.
"Yeah, we should ask if we can go over someday" Taehyung sighed, throwing himself on the couch.
"There's not much time left, Jimin has to go to Clairmont in two weeks" Yoongi reminded.
"Who said I would allow Jimin to go with you guys" Jen said with her arms crossed against her chest.
"Wouldn't you?" Jimin asked his mom, not quite taking her seriously.
"I would... but you don't even ask anymore" she complained.
"Cause I know you're the coolest mom ever" he smiled, side hugging her.
RM

Sorry I had to push Hoseok in the water

Suga
Hell yeah
I knew Jin's frat was better
Chim
I'm so in
The frat house has a pool too
Jin
perfect
"Frat house?" Jen said from behind Jimin.
"Uh..."
"Jin's house was one thing, a frat party is another" she asserted.
"Please mom nothing bad is gonna happen" he pleaded.
"Yes Mrs. Park, I promise I won't drive" Taehyung nodded firmly.
"Are your parents even gonna let you go?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Well... If you let Jimin go they'll surely let me go too" he tried.
"I'll look after them Mrs. Park, I'll be DD" Namjoon chose to take responsibility since Jin wasn't there.
"Do you even have somewhere to stay after the party?"
"Yes for sure, Jin's room in our apartment has a longer lease, we can definitely go there." She looked at the boys with her eyes narrowed and sighed.
"Soon enough you'll be going to all sorts of parties without me knowing, might as well let you enjoy this last one for the summer" she caved in, as everyone expected.
---
Neon lights, smoke, the loud 808s of the trap beat shaking his core. A good amount of tequila in his system already, Jimin was the life of the party as he stood on the table screaming shots while everyone cheered. They were banging their fists on the surface to make even more noise, and he couldn't think about a single bad thing at that moment.
"Looks like he's having fun" Yoongi laughed, pointing at their friend raising up his shot glass for everyone to see.
"Oh he's gonna be so hungover" Hoseok pointed out, earning his friends giggles.
"Where's Tae I haven't seen him in a while" Jin asked, looking around the place to try and spot him but who was he kidding, he saw two of everyone and suddenly the house was jam-packed.
"That was fun" Jimin sighed, returning from his main-character moment and throwing himself on the nearest free seat.
"I think he's losing his V card" Yoongi joked.
"No way who was it" Hoseok asked, raising elbow to lean on the thin armrest, but missing it and almost falling off his chair.
"Hailey? I don't know she almost looked like a guy at first" Namjoon replied.
"Hey guys... What's up?" one of Hobi's friends walked to their area, dragging a chair by Jimin's side.
"You having fun or what?" Hobi greeted with a handshake.
"Of course man. You guys look like you're done having a good time in this party though" he pointed out, holding a particularly longer eye-contact with one of them.
"We're slowing down for a second" Yoongi replied, taking the blunt from Hoseok and giggling at the contradictory statement he gave.
"You're not into weed?" The extra boy asked, except they didn't know who he was talking to until they turned to him, finding his eyes locked onto a bored blonde-haired boy.
"Hmm?" Jimin reacted, not knowing why this conversation was taking place.
"Your friends are smoking but you're not, is it not your thing?" He repeated.
"Who are you?" the younger asked.
"Kevin, what's your name baby boy?" He asked.
"Don't ever call me that" Jimin instead replied, shaking his head.
"Alright, alright" he chuckled, "Do you wanna dance maybe?" he suggested, not letting it go just yet, and making Jimin look his way thoughtfully.
"You know what? Why not" he agreed. There wasn't a single better thing he had to do or someone else he wanted to talk to at that party, he was already drunk enough and maybe he did want to dance.
The song choices weren't his favorites but the hard beats resonating in his chest were more than enough to get his drunken mind going. He raised his arm up as he bobbed his head and rocked his shoulders to the music with Kevin, laughing together at a few people who were seemingly a bit too drunk.
Moments later when he felt two hands snake around his waist, pulling him into another male body, he knew Kevin finally made his move. It was the first time he was approached by a guy like this and he didn't know what to think of it. It was strange, all the few girls he's held before were physically smaller than him so this needed a bit of adjusting.
The hands on his waist sensually curved around him and pulled him closer, wrapping him into the strong chest as they both danced in the exact same movement. Soon enough Kevin grew bolder since Jimin didn't move or push himself off. He nuzzled against his blonde hair at first, then slowly moved his head where he could have access to the side of his face. In response, Jimin dragged his hands to rest on the other's arms.
The frat boy was enjoying the implicit approval from him as he took an audible deep breath through his nose, puffing his chest and pressing against Jimin's back even more. He dragged his bottom lip against the shorter's ear and Jimin almost thought his guts were on fire.
Did he want this? Surely he enjoyed it, but did he want to take it any further? As that seemed to be Kevin's intention. The short answer was no, so in an attempt to break free, he opened his eyes and looked down at the arms around him, wanting to loosen them up before turning his body. Oh Kevin has a crown tattoo on his finger too...
Wait a minute.
All those tattoos were familiar.
He froze---simply stopped moving while his hands were on the not-so-Kevin's arms. I'm just drunk it's not him, he tried to relax again, shaking the thoughts away.
"What's wrong cupcake" The man's deep voice said into his ear and he could swear his heart skipped a few beats.
No way. It was Jungkook the whole time?
"It's you" he simply breathed out, not yet mustering the courage to look back.
"Who else baby" Jungkook replied, only hugging Jimin more while he buried his face in the crook of his neck, not aware of the turmoil within him at that moment.
"I didn't know you were here" Jimin almost whispered. This might have been everything he wished for; being in the taller's arms, receiving his affection and hearing all the pet-names.
"I missed you so much" Jungkook replied while he nuzzled softly against the side of Jimin's head. It certainly smelled like he didn't know what he was saying, but part of Jimin wanted to hear more.
"We were dancing together" he said, unsure if it was for Jungkook or himself.
"Hmm" the taller hummed in confirmation, the vibrations traveling from his chest to resonate in Jimin's entire body, his knees would have given in if Jungkook wasn't holding him so tight. He never truly realized how thick his muscles were before and it really took being wrapped in them to find out, but who was he to complain.
"Jungkook" he hesitantly called.
"Yes baby" the other replied, one of his hands soothingly rubbing the skin on his waist as he waited.
"You're very drunk okay? Why don't we get you some water?" Jimin suggested, knowing this wasn't right no matter how nice it felt, and surprised as to where this rationality came from.
"Just like Lili, always wanted me to drink water at parties" he replied, and in a second, one sentence completely ruined Jimin's mood.
He sighed, gently pushing himself off of Jungkook to face him and see his slightly disheveled hair and his hooded eyes. He reached up to smooth a few rebellious strands on Jungkook's head, and his heart squeezed at the way he leaned into his touch.
It's been a month and a half, and she's still on his mind always...
"Did you miss me too?" Jungkook asked nonchalantly, the playful smirk on his lips almost teasing, while his hands regained their spot on the shorter's waist.
Maybe by the time he's over her, I won't feel the same anymore. Jimin thought as he felt his throat tighten.
He was looking right into the taller's eyes and didn't miss the way they lazily drifted, unable to focus on one thing, it was certainly a hangover-worthy intoxication yet she still held her ground in his mind.
Taking a moment to see how time had treated Jungkook while they were apart, he noticed how his hair grew a little longer, his eyebrow piercing was no longer there, the little scar on his cheek remained marking his smooth skin with memories, and the tiny mole under his lip always holding the last of his attention and sending his mind into a haze.
Of course he thought about it. What do Jungkook's lips taste like? Will he ever find out? He let himself entertain the thought occasionally in the sobriety of his room, maybe even fantasizing the moment they'd share their first kiss.
Things were different tonight though, perhaps it was the thudding music, maybe the dizzying lights, but most certainly the alcohol.
I may never have you, so at least let me steal this, just once.
"I did" he replied barely above a whisper, naturally overtaken by the loud volume of the DJ and lost in the space between them. Not giving himself any time to think this through, Jimin tiptoed closer and held Jungkook's face in his hands, then surprised both of them with an impulsive kiss.
In just a second, he managed to put himself in such a dangerous situation, seeking things that were out of bounds and selfishly hoping they last forever. He might suffer a long time for this one forbidden kiss, but weren't forbidden things always the sweetest?
"Sorry" Jimin simply said when they broke apart, he knew Jungkook wouldn't want this if he was sober. He felt his lips quiver and heartbeat pulse in every inch of his body as he waited for a reaction.
The taller's mouth curved into a soft smile, and Jimin only then truly realized how much he missed it. He was looking up at Jungkook with stars in his eyes, feeling the bigger hands snake around his waist and hold him close. The next thing he knew, Jungkook was kissing him again, gently and slowly, making him squeeze his muscular arms to make sure it was real.
"I love you" Jungkook said against his plump lips, tightening his arms around his back and overwhelming Jimin with so many feelings at once.
Hearing those words felt right, as if he earned it after so much heartbreak. His stomach twisted and ears flushed, the heat of the moment wrapping him in the prettiest blanket, accidentally covering his eyes and blinding him from seeing how sadly this is going to end, "I love you too" he replied.
Jimin was losing himself in the warmth until someone stumbled against them and broke them apart. He tensed at the cold drink spilt on his back and looked around to see two people laughing on the floor.
"These guys" he muttered with an amused smile, one that slowly fell when he didn't find Jungkook where he was anymore.
He searched the crowd in which he could barely walk without being shoved, almost in panic, until he simply stopped. Jungkook was too drunk to fully grasp the moment they just shared, and even if he did, it's not like it miraculously changed anything.
Tonight was proof that the memory of Lisa pushed through his drunkest thoughts, and not only will Jungkook not allow himself to be near Jimin as long as that's true, but Jimin himself doesn't want to be with Jungkook knowing his mind is full of someone else. Hell he doesn't even know if those words were for him or for her.
He made his way out into the backyard, feeling his eyes water but not letting any tear out. At least I know how it feels to kiss you now.

Hmmm Jimin :(
