This Saturday morning was beautiful, the birds were chirping, the sun was bright, and he didn't have school, everything was just how he loved it. He got up from the bed and walked to his bathroom where he took a quick shower. He went to the kitchen and found his mom fetching the maple syrup from he cabinet while a plate full of pancakes was waiting for him on the island.

"Morning mom"

"Morning" she put the bottle on the surface and sat on one of the stools to start eating with her son.

"You had fun last night?" She asked,  pretty curious about what kind of outing it was and what type of friends he made.

"Yeah, I met a few new people actually. It was interesting" he chuckled "One of them goes to Blue, you met Taehyung already as well, and four others are college guys, family relatives" he explained and she nodded. Humming with her mouth full.

"We talked a lot for me to get to know them a little bit, we also played video games- well I didn't because I pretty much suck- but yeah. I ate dinner over there too, and today I'm meeting them again to play basketball" he told her, wiping his fingers from the sticky syrup.

"That's great, you never usually hang out with the same group twice. Either you don't like them or they don't invite you again" she pointed out and he whined "don't say that it kinda hurts my ego" he chuckled.

"Tell me about each of them, I wanna know everything" his mom said, pushing her plate aside when she finished eating, and giving him her undivided attention. She rested he chin on her hand and Jimin could clearly see the glint of excitement in her eyes. He shook his head and held his fist up, extending a finger everytime he started talking about one of the boys.

"First there's Taehyung, that guys is just something else. He's so reckless and always gets himself in trouble, but he's very nice and fun to be with. You met him already"

"Yoongi is a guy I met at work, he's also a senior at Blue and he's really good at basketball. He doesn't really care what he says and is very blunt with words, but he's nice still. He's the one who invited me over to his place after school yesterday"

His mom hummed and kept listening.

"When we went to his house, I met his brother Namjoon. He was calm and collected most of the time, but he always ended up bickering with Yoongi it was funny. He sounds very smart though"

"Jin, I don't know much except that he's very narcissistic. Like literally the only problem he had in life last night was choosing between two of his pictures" he shook his head "Although he is very handsome I must admit"

"The girls in college must be happy about that" she said wiggling her eyebrows and he rolled his eyes "Mom... "

"Go on, don't mind me"

"Next there was Hobi, or Hoseok. He was super bubbly and energetic, he has such a bright laugh too, his vibes are immaculate if I do say so myself. He gave me a ride when I said I had to leave so that was kind of him"

"I like this boy already" his mom nodded in validation.

"Then there was Jungkook, but I have zero clue what the guy is like. I saw him, he was in the room- at least when he wasn't outside smoking- but it felt as if he wasn't present at all. He barely talked, and when I asked him stuff, his friends would answer for him, so I didn't get to know him really. I don't know, I guess he just isn't a very social guy..."

"Yeah there's people like that, maybe he just needs to open up.. I mean he is friends with everyone else so he must be at least a little bit of fun still" his mom reasoned and he shrugged "I guess"

"So when do I get to meet your friends?" his mom asked and he snorted.

"What are you talking about mom, I'm not getting married to them, I barely met them anyway" he laughed, getting up from the stool to do the dishes.

"Well I don't know, you're meeting them two days in a row. It sounds like you really like them" she replied "And so? You'll see them when you do" he rolled his eyes, and suddenly remembered something.

"Actually, speaking of today, I have a date" he announced and his mother was about to say something when she suddenly covered her mouth in shock "No way"

"What"

"You made nice friends and scored a girl? On the same weekend? Who are you!" she questioned.

"Stop making me sound like a loser.. I've been on dates before"

"But that's different, it was obviously not serious back then.."

"What makes you think it is now?"

"I mean, it could be"

"Doubt that"

"Don't say that, you don't know how things will go" she waived to dismiss his comment "Besides, your father and I met when we were around your age.. We were good friends we just didn't know we were gonna marry each other" she pointed out.

"Yeah I really don't think that's gonna happen with this girl"

"What's her name? Do you have a picture of her?" she'd asked.

"Yes, it's Ryujin" he pulled out his phone from the pockets of his shorts "One second" he said before clicking on her latest picture and flipping screen towards his mom.

"Wow Jimini! She's really pretty! Why don't you want to be with her, I don't understand, is she not a nice girl?" she asked, clearly not getting where he's coming from with it.

"It's not that, she's not mean or anything. Taehyung warned me yesterday that she might have some past- although one sided- with that guy Jungkook. He said she might just be using me" Jimin explained and she let out a slow 'ah'

"Jungkook is the last one right?" she asked to refresh her memory.

"Yeah"

"They don't even sound good together. You'll be perfect instead"

"Instead of him or instead of her" he joked, making her laugh and raise her shoulders.

"I mean.. Unless you wanna date uptight smoker I don't know what to say.." she replied and he laughed. He walked to her and patted her arm "just kidding" giggling some more as he headed to him room. "I know" she replied, crossing her arms against her chest.

"I'll be in here if you need anything" he last said before shutting his door. Jumping on his bed, he opened Snapchat and found that he was mentioned in someone's story. It was Taehyung's and they were all just eating and playing in the short video. He also noticed that 3 other users had added him and the last one remained, so he thought he should add them himself.

'Jeon009.. Must be Jungkook' he thought.

A few minutes later, he received a notification saying the other had added him back and just ignored it. He decided he wanted to post a selfie on his own story and right away got a snap from Yoongi. It was a picture of him with a golden retriever 'Jimin wanna come over? This big guy paid me a visit'

He smiled at the dog and typed his reply quick

About half an hour later Jimin's door bell rang and his mom was quick to get it. He got out of his room and found her playing with the dog by the entrance. He walked to them as his mom listened to his friend introduce himself and started petting the dog.

"Yeah I met Jimin around a week ago"

"Jimin mentioned you were blunt but you seem pretty polite so far" she said and Yoongi's eyebrows were raised.

"Mom! Don't tell him that, seriously?" Jimin forgot his mom was also blunt and didn't really filter her comments unless she was about to curse or something.

"And here I thought we were friends, new kid" he said dramatically and his mom gasped "Oh by no means did Jimin intend that in a negative way. In fact he says that about me too, and we both agree nobody would dare offend their mom" she explained as nicely as she could.

"No worries Mrs. Park, it's my entire brand so I don't mind it being pointed out" he chuckled and she sighed, smiling sheepishly.

"Did you have breakfast? I made pancakes this morning" she offered and he shook his head "No thank you, I had a whole burger already" he said and Jimin got up.

"I guess we'll stay in my room" he said and she nodded, walking back to the sofa and leaving the boys alone. Shutting his door again, Jimin invited his new friend to sit anywhere he'd like and proceeded to play with the cute pet.

"Where was Tako last night.. We would've had a lot of fun together" Jimin asked, saying the second part in a higher voice, nuzzling against the dog and looking up towards Yoongi at last.

"Tako is Jungkook's dog. He brought it over from his parents' house this morning" he said and Jimin hummed. "He has this good boy and keeps him to himself" Jimin said as he threw some balled socks from his drawer across the room for him to fetch.

"I know right? You should've seen him when he was still a pup, he used to jump and run everywhere. He drove us all crazy even though he was so small" Yoongi said with a smile, calling the dog over to his lap.

Yoongi was sitting cross-legged by the foot of Jimins bed "If Jungkook is over at your place why were you bored" Jimin asked, pulling his bean bag closer and sitting on it. "He just dropped him off. He had some stuff to do for college work and his parents were going somewhere"

"Don't you have a date today?" Yoongi added.

"I do"

"Then why did you let me come right now, there's barely two hours left for it"

"I'll kick you out when the time comes" Jimin laughed and turned his TV on.

"I can't believe Ryujin finally got over her crush" he said and Jimin raised his eyebrows.

"I was meaning to ask, how do you all know who she is? Even Hobi and Jin who didn't go to Blue" Jimin asked.

"Her parents are friends with Taehyung's, they've known each other since 5th grade or something, and so we all met her at some point in time" he explained.

"Well, it's just a date anyway. If she decides she still likes her crush it's all good with me" Jimin shrugged watching Tako lay down, a little tired.

"Fair"

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"I did. We broke up in the summer"

"Sorry about that.. How long were y'all together for"

"A little over 8 months. It's fine though, she moved on and went to university in Spain. I'm not really the guy for long distance relationships" he chuckled humourlessly. Yoongi knew that they wouldn't have stayed together even if she didn't leave, they were growing apart a couple months prior, especially when he was held back. He was just so used to her being around that he feels so lonely when his brother and friends aren't there.

"That's a pretty long relationship man.. I've never been in one longer than a month or two tops" he said and Yoongi snorted.

"that's not even a relationship Jimin y'all were just talking" he joked and the other smiled "I know.. I guess I'll think about an actual relationship when I go to college, it just seems more appropriate" he shrugged and Yoongi raised his eyebrows.

"Damn I don't know about settling down and stuff but you sound like you're tryna find your 'one' girl or something" he stated.

"I don't really like messing around to be honest, I like to know what I want and get it" Jimin explained and the elder laughed.

After some time, Yoongi got up "Alright, you should start getting ready for your date. I've been here long enough I'll go back home" He announced "Okay, say hi to everyone for me" Jimin said, stretching and crouching back down to hug the puppy one last time.

"Sure, you'll see them all later anyway. Do you know where the outdoor basketball court is?" he asked and Jimin confirmed.

"Bye Mrs. Park" he waved and watched her smile before leaving through the door.

"I like him" his mom said.

"I know"
