Jane Mitchell (born August 8, 1988) is an American actress. Jane was born in Portland, Maine to actress Macy Mitchell (nee Thomas) and actor Scott Mitchell. She has an older sister named Shelley Mitchell. Jane lived in Maine until the age of four, then moved to L.A.California. Her father, Scott Mitchell, had gotten a role as Alan Matthews in the show Boy Meets World. Scott talked to the directors and got a part for Jane in the show. She played Melissa Matthews, Morgan Matthews' twin sister. She was on the show from 1993-2000.

When the show ended, Jane did some short films and minor TV appearances. Jane became home schooled at the age of 12. She decided to take a break from acting for a while and just be a normal kid.

In 2012, Jane made her acting debut once again by landing the lead role in the movie Pitch Perfect. Jane plays Beca, a sarcastic, witty college student who wants to be a DJ. She joins the Barden Bellas, an all female a capella group who competes in national championships.
