Quick note: apparently the version I was word count-checking from last night's chapter hadn't reloaded to account for most of the words I wrote yesterday. The actual count was 5,069.

Anyway

Deceit: hun. Honey. Baby. My favorite bitchy person. When is /he/ going to show up??

Me: he will arrive after his boyfriend has secured the castle.

Deciet: but he /needs/ to arrive soon! He has a man to dazzle!

Me: we have to go through the emotional pain of packing everything the prince owns, knowing he may never see his brother again, then be rushed down to the courtyard to greet his to-be-husband. Then, and only then, will the mental games really kick in

Deceit: ..........the nice ones?

Me: yes Deceit, the ones with the morality-ruining ones.

Deceit, grinning: perfection

Morality: uh kiddo?

Me: yep?

Morality: I seem to be phasing out sometimes, you wanna tell me why?

Me, hiding fic plans behind me: I have no idea why that's happening.

DC: *grabs fic plans and parkours away*

Me: absolutely no idea

DC & LC: *working together on fic*

Me: be free my children

DC: I'm going to murder half the main castle's guards!!

Me: amazing

LC: I'm going to put the main character through a major gay panic when he sees the commodore and his first mate.

Me: love it

Logic: I have already planned out the next ten scenes, however I am still uncertain how you expect the king to kill the best friend.

Me: fuck

Logic: don't worry though, I have a solution that will garner sympathy for our side while also casting the king into worse light!

Me: you beautiful angel

Anxiety: hey uh have we cemented main charcter and best friend's friendship enough?

Me: I think we have, I mean they sleep in a cuddle pile with their brothers and have said multiple times that he won't leaves Roman 

Anxiety: but like, what if everyone precieves it as a romantic thing?

Me: I've already mentioned that they are like brothers in a non-forced way

Anxiety: okay but what if readers want him in a romantic relationship??

Me: he's aro ace

Anxiety: brilliant 

Me: I need to make commodore immediately hate the king, even though he already knows the king sucks

Me: what should I do?

Deceit: send main character out in pants and have the king yell at him

LC: have commodore interrupt the yelling with a flirty line 

DC: make him wink at main charcter as he kisses main character's hand

Logic: gay

Anxiety: have his first mate flirt with main character as well, just to prolong the gay panic

Morality: threaten the king with a sword to the throat 

Everyone: *looks at Morality*

DC: I think I'm in love

LC: yessssss

Logic: and then we can do a similar scene at the end with main charcter holding him at sword point and actually killing him

Anxiety: which is when we have the kiss over the dead body with the bloody sword still in hand

DC & LC: *faint from overload of fic ideas*

Me: murder but make it romantic
